French Onion soup
Colleen H.

Went to Gator's Dockside on Tuesday night for dinner and bingo. There were 6 in our group and we waited a few minutes before a staff member came to seat us. One of our group had made reservations for the bingo which needs to be done by calling in at a specific time on a specific day the prior week. It was difficult to get through and sounded like the days of calling into radio stations to win a prize. Call and get a busy signal or if it started ringing it would then drop the call so you had to start over and hope you were one of the lucky ones to get through. We were seated in the bingo area which was nice so we didn't have to move once it started. Our first waitress was very nice and cheerful, took our drink and dinner orders. There was a shift change and the next waitress must have been spread very thin because we would have to try to catch her as she quickly went past our table. I ordered the French Onion soup and fried pickles. They were both delicious! The bingo was very fun. You were able to purchase bingo dobbers for $3 if you didn't have one. The first 3 games cost $2 per 3 cards and the last 2 games were $5 per 3 cards. The prize money was large amounts because everything collected from the card sales was the winning jackpot. The caller announced the numbers 3 times and there were a few tv screens that showed what was called. We did have fun. The only downsides were the reservations for bingo which were difficult to get and if it was your first time going you would not have known to make them the previous week and due to how busy they were our second waitress didn't have as much time to take our orders. A definite bonus was they gave us separate checks which we did not request but was perfect!

Buffalo chicken salad

Excellent place to visit, great food, great service and very cool atmosphere. Loved the Buffalo chicken salad. Fun place to go with friends and family.

Crawfish Poboy
Justin L.

This is one of the more quiet locations in which I enjoyed. The service was pretty fast for ordering a few drinks with a bunch of people there. I had the crawfish poboy which had a decent amount of crawfish. I think it should have had more but it still tasted good!

Wings with no sauce

Only one order had sauce included, chef for got garlic Parmesan and buffalo sauce. Disappointed! I am writing in regard to a recent visit to your restaurant in Brownwood. I would also like to provide some feedback on our dining experience. We ordered three baskets of wings, each with a different sauce selection. Unfortunately, all three servings had very minimal sauce--so little that it appeared the kitchen may have overlooked this component altogether. This significantly impacted our enjoyment of the meal, especially since the flavor is a big part of why we came. Additionally, I requested both ranch and blue cheese dressing, which our server kindly offered; however, we were not informed there would be an additional $1 charge for the extra dressing.

Their chicken wings are consistently undercooked even when ordered well done. Gave them four tries.

$75/pp for a Super Bowl buffet of putrid, inedible pig slop. Lots of chafing dishes, every one of them with greasy, fatty, fried slop.

Food was nothing special. Just didn't have much of anything to talk about. Service was good and place was clean. Need to change up the menu.

Don't walk...run to this gem. Hands down the best restaurant in The Villages, Florida. Amazing…read moreservice (Shauna - bar), food and views. I had two apps - the tuna and the fish dip. Both delicious. My only (minor) suggestion is for the tuna, use thicker chips, as the topping are all wet. The chips were saturated- but still delish! Such a great spot. A+++

My parents love coming to Harry's for the specials which are different daily and advertised on…read moretheir Facebook which is so helpful for guests! My mom was out of town so my dad and I went for an early Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, it was one of the kitchen's off nights as the calamari which is normally cooked perfectly came out rubbery and overdone. Wait staff offered to have the kitchen remake it but my dad wasn't sure it would come out any better the second time, depending on how the kitchen was timing or judging the cook. He opted to get the voodoo pasta which I had ordered as well. The chicken in the voodoo pasta was also overdone and on the chewy side due. Pasta sauce was definitely bland in comparison to the sauce from a special the week prior that our same waiter had said was actually the voodoo sauce. Sad that nothing came out how we'd hoped, especially on a celebration day. One last note for readers: the dining room to the back right of the restaurant is extremely loud and hard to hear even those you are dining with, regardless of the number of tables filled.

We took a sunny drive over to celebrate a major birthday for my darling spouse.....and were FLOORED by the experience and the food...."THE FOOD"! Oh my Goodness!!! More on this shortly..... This Virginia girl (A Florida girl since the 1980's) fell in love with the eclectic decor and table settings that looked like my Momma and Grandma's heirlooms. Vintage prints and paintings. Red vintage bloomers with lace on the hook on the back of the door of the "Ladies' Retiring Room and Necessary" [my terms, to be fair...] Photographs of young belles and their children who arrived later. A decent interval later!!! NOW, the food. Hot, homemade cornbread to the table, and a peach ice tea that is like no other I have enjoyed ANYWHERE in the south. Hubby chose the Texan Chicken Fried steak, with smashed potatoes and greens, and I picked my favorite southern dish (one that I cannot make at home without ruining ~SHRIMP & GRITS!) and it was beyond description. Shrimp almost the size of quail, with perfect spices and texture. Creamy grits with cheese and a few bell peppers for a variety. I never DREAMED of using salt or pepper.....it would have been an affront the the dish itself, My husband's smile told me he loved HIS chosen dish down....that, and all but licking his plate! We have the decadent looking slices of cake her to share later with coffee, but there was no chance we would skip trying them.....but also no chance we could eat them immediately after lunch without exploding! Service was prompt without hovering, and we will be returning either for MY birthday or if we have friends come to visit. HIGHLY AND TOTALLY RECOMMEND FOR A SPECIAL MEAL. The quality makes the prices perfectly acceptable!!

But has a lot of grass parking behind along rail road and also more across street at wildwood city hall. Plenty of choices in menu and I decided to try the Voodoo Mac and cheese and so glad I did. It was really good has brisket in it and fried onions great flavor combo. 3 in our group today. We ordered 2 voodoo Mac and cheese $25 ea and a turkey and bacon sandwich on a croissant roll $18. sweet tea in huge mason jars $4 ea and a homemade lemonade $5.50. Just know going in that the prices are a little high but well worth it as the portions are huge. I ate half of my Mac and cheese and took the rest to go... Highly recommend this place staff was welcoming and friendly and service was really good.
