Excellent food and service. We called day of for a party of 30 and they fit us in flawlessly. Food and drinks were very good (bloody mary!) and it was very accommodating for kids. Back room was neat overlooking the water. Looks like they have garage doors that open but was maybe too late in the season to have them open. Outstanding burger joint! Found this place after it was featured on Triple D. Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I ordered The Stella Moo, and my best girl had The Bonnie. I really enjoyed the different layers of flavor on the Stella. Neither the brisket or burger overwhelmed the other. Both added to the sandwich without dominating the flavor. The Bonnie had a delightful sauce and the burgers were both cooked perfectly at medium rare. Couldn't ask for better. Our server, Kayla was fantastic. Prompt and knowledgeable about the menu items, she is what everyone desires in a server. Thanks, Kayla. Overall a great dining experience. No wings! One of the other reviews said they had them, but apparently not anymore. Bit of a dive bar with a tiny lake view. Pretzel bites app was over fried and then over salted. Grilled chicken sandwich was good, but with tater tots also over fried. Friendly waitresses, but not enough to compensate for the food issues. read more

Food has been mediocre the last several months! I've been a loyal patron for over 4 years. What really broke the camels back was having our server ignore us after we ordered and had food arrive. When it was time to pay the check she dropped it off and proceeded to sit at a high top in the bar playing on her phone and chatting away with her coworkers. Even when we tried to politely flag her, and she still ignored us. After waiting over 10 minutes to pay our bill we sadly had to flag a different server down so we could leave to relieve our babysitter. When we were walking out to leave the server walked straight to our table to check what we had left her as a tip. She even stopped us before leaving to ask why she wasn't tipped? I have worked in the food industry for over 10 years. As being a server, your main priority is the customer satisfaction... maybe check on your table after food has been delivered, check on refills, and maybe come take the payment for your guests bill and then you would get a tip. Especially if there were only 20 customers in the whole establishment at 7 pm at night on a Friday! read more

We found this place by recommendation from our neighbor when we moved to the area and have been at least 3 times and are NEVER disappointed Niki and Brittany have taken amazing care of us they are true rockstars. The food, beer, cocktail, dessert, and service is amazing. The view of the lake is spectacular as well. Even with a 25+% tip we still spend less than $80 for our family of 4 with 1 app 2 kid meals 2 burgers and drinks. The peanut butter cup stout is such a nice desert beer and I loved the mango flavored one as well I can't remember what it was called. We will absolutely be back over and over again. read more

What a fun kitschy atmosphere! My hubby and I were looking for a comfortable low key place with great food. And we found it at Flipplin' Cow. We started with the bacon cheddar dip. The cheese was flavored throughout with bacon. Hubby had the Stella Moo and I chose the Smoked Bacon Brisket Grilled cheese. The food was fantastic! I'm giving them 2 stars because their staff is 10 star and don't deserve this but this restaurant is nothing but c*** the brisket is way overcooked tough the bacon is too thick for the Burger and well overcooked. The chicken is frozen and tough to eat. The fish was ok. The tots we got. Way over fried. They were way over cooked. I could squeeze then and they'd crumto nothing. Like I said the wake staff was excellbut we're well aware of what quality of food was being sent out of the kitchen and they were sad they couldn't do anything about it. Rumor has it the other 2 restaurants the owner has he spends more time app well maybe he should close this one. And this was my 2nd visit the 1st visit they had to give me a $15 gift card because of some of the affirmentioned issuesn. read more

Three of our family ate dinner there and we all got different burgers. We all agree each one was delicious. I had the Stella Moo burger and highly recommend it. My wife tried the Flippin Melt and she loved it. We both recommend the Cow Chips as the side with the Bacon Cheddar Dip. Also, our server Britany was a 10 out of 10. Service was horrible. When we arrived, there were no seats. The lady at the front took my name and phone number and said the wait would be about 30 minutes and she would call when a seat is available. We went and sat in the car for about a half an hour waiting for the call. We decided to walk back in and check and the restaurant was pretty much empty. The girl said that she forgot to call. Our waitress took forever coming to take our order. Service was very slow the entire time we were there. Our first time here, service was excellent! The host was nice as well, and they have a small outdoor seating area. This place is located right on a lake and is a beautiful view. The lake view seating tables are like picnic benches, but in other areas had booths and normal tables. The food was good. I had gotten the flippin melt, which was good and I knew it came on rye bread, but I had never had it before and it wasn't very good. But that isn't their fault, it was mine. My boyfriend had the maui wowie and that was really good. The flippin sauce that comes on the burgers was very tasty as well. The fries were good. They also have milkshakes and boozy milkshakes, but we got the elephant ear fries with chocolate and caramel sauce. Super good! We will come back! read more

We had dinner here today. It was very busy but we were greeted quickly and sat in the bar at a table top. Our server, Keegan was very friendly and fast. Our burgers and fries were outstanding. I had the Bonnie and wife had the Merica. Keegan recommended a Hazy IPA for me and it was awesome. This a great little lake side bar and grill. Where do I start? We were excited about this place because of the view and the menu sounded delicious! The moment we walked in, I could tell we were a burden to the server. She stated, with a mix of laziness and annoyance in her voice, that she'd see "if I can clean some tables off" on the patio for us. She stated to the elderly couple behind us that the patio had no room for them. No tone of friendliness. They weren't awful or disrespectful but they seemed to be so burdened that we were even there. By the way.. there was plenty of room on the patio. The food was a mixed bag. Great bacon cheese dip! Superb! The burger though. I swear they bought it from Walmart. It was like a burnt Bubba Burger. Pepsi was flat. Out of lemonade. The brisket was tough and full of chewy fat. I don't recommend this place. I don't suggest you get it to go. Just skip it. A small hole in the wall bar on the shore of a small lake with above average bar style food. Honestly the prices are so cheap that I was nervous when I saw them! The burger I ordered was the Maui Wowie or something like that and I enjoyed it. I loved pineapple on burgers and the teriyaki sauce topped it off perfectly. The tots were your typical tots but was a nice change from regular fries. This place was completely full at 6 on a Monday. There was a line out the door when we left! The Flippin Cow definitely impressed and currently has the lead in our own personal burger quest. The place is casual and overlooks Simonton Lake. We were greeted when we walked in and invited to see wherever we liked. We selected a tall top table close to the bar and was greeted immediately by Leslie. She provided us with the menus (inside old album covers) and took our drink orders. They have a pretty good selection of draft beers - I opted for the Oberon and my husband had a Fat Tire ($6 each for a 22oz glass). The menu offers a nice selection of bar-type appetizers, specialty burgers, build-your-own burgers, mac-n-cheese, sandwiches and even a few salads and lighter options that sounded pretty good. Our waitress overhead some of our conversation and didn't hesitate to chime in with recommendations. She also immediately fixed our table when we commented to ourselves that it was wobbly. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer - they were pretty good, but we would probably opt for another selection the next time. The pretzels and fried pickles have been highly recommended. My husband ordered the Stella Moo which came with two steak burgers, brisket, BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese and fried onion straws. He loved it. The burgers are on the thinner size and are cooked well done, but his was still very juicy and flavorful. You have the choice to make it a basket with cow chips, hand cut fries or tater tots. He selected the cow chips, which were hand cut potato chips and very good. I ordered the Flippin Melt, which is a take on a patty melt that is served on sourdough. It also came with two steak burgers, swiss, Flippin sauce and carmelized onions. My only complaint was that the onions were a little on the greasy side (although what burger isn't). I ordered the hand cut fries, which were great. Service was top notch and the food was definitely worth the money. We will definitely be back! read more
