I'm so happy that we came here I was kind of skeptical because we were waiting for almost an hour for the other place across the street and got tired of waiting we came here it took about 30 minutes to get a pizza as of course it's car show weekend and it was worth the wait and the prices are excellent my husband and I shared the small pizza and it was a perfect size for a snack that was very filling the cheese is excellent and so is the pepperoni and the sauce and the crispy bottom on the crust but the fluffiness was so delicious. I'm not sure if the man that made the pizza is the owner or the manager but he was so nice as we sat there at the counter he offered us a free ice cream and I thought that was really nice of him we offered to pay but he said no. His daughter that helps him up front was so polite and very sweet. I wish we had something like that here in Long Beach however we do not. I look forward to coming back again and again. It's got this super cool retro vibe, and with only eight lanes, it feels cozy and relaxed instead of hectic. The staff is awesome and super friendly. The cutest little bowling alley, only 8 lanes, but decorated like the 50's. Friendly staff and good pizza! Love this place!

This pizza was so bad when I open there was only 8 slices. While I was ordering it , the menu displayed that the pizza gave 14 slices . Not only that they require you to have a code to use the restroom. It's was hot , if you were too loud you get charge 5 bucks. Absolutely horrible. Never go here again. The pizza is 20 bucks and it's not worth it . read more

Hands down Best Pizza around!!!!!! My kids said it looked like the ninja turtles pizza in a cartoon because of all the cheese. Also the hot wings are soooooo good. A whole large pizza with double cut feeds a family of 4 for $30. The staff is great and the pizza is fresh not frizen. They also offer $25 all you can bowl and eat on some Mondays. I plan on trying this I'm the summer. So far I've had the pizza twice and I still haven't went bowling. read more

We came here for some family bowling on a Saturday afternoon. The prices are good compared to other nearby bowling alleys. However; the facility definitely felt dirty and a bit outdated. The bowling itself was fun but we didn't order food because it looked pretty Dirty around the kitchen area. The staff wEre very attentive and friendly. I used to do a lot of work in and around Pismo Beach. I always wanted to bowl at Pismo Bowl due to its funky atmosphere and the fact that it has been around since the 1930s. All that was fine. However, the lanes are awful. The approach was so sticky not even my sliding shoe sock or slide powder could overcome it. So, I had to alter my approach which didn't work well. The lanes are also AMF brands which have always been cheap compared to Brunswick lanes. Still, I was doing what I could until a mob of people came to bowl on the next lane. They had uncontrolled kids and knew nothing of bowling etiquette. I left early and I will never return. read more

Rude customer service and dirty! Came in when it was full with roughly a 30 min wait, so some of us went out to walk around, but our name was called within 10 mins. My BIL informed them that we weren't ready since we weren't all there and the owner got mad and started getting really rude. He was upset that we asked to be put on the waiting list and then yelled at my BIL. If there were other people in line, I would understand why they would be mad. There was literally no one waiting, so the rudeness was truly uncalled for. The added bonus: my Fil was sitting on the bench by the cash register, putty got stuck on his pants. The worker looked at it and said, "well I'm not touching that!" Instead of showing any type of empathy, it was yet another rude comment. The manager walked by and just started laughing. They didn't even offer some tissue or paper towel to take off the putty. If you want want to get yelled at and or laughed at, this is the place to be! read more

This is a great low-key spot for some family fun! No skills needed, if you've never bowled before and just wanna experience some fun this is a great spot! Whether it's to get the kids out or even go on a fun date together. Good music, yummy food and excellent service! The people that run this place are so nice and are also very patient with children. They have bumpers that lift up so your guaranteed to knock down at least one pin as well as cute stands for the kids to put their ball into just in case they aren't able to throw it down a lane. As a professional bowler who didn't have his equipment with him since I'm on vacation with my wife and parents in law . This is best bowling alley I've ever been in and to . The owners are very polite and friendly and sweet. I ended up finding a rare storm ball that was made by Storm and released to the public in December 2004. I asked how much they would charge me for the bowling ball since I knew a lot of history of Storm big Hit series line. They were kind and generous to me take this ball home and I'll be using it at the PBA battle oak lanes in October. read more

As a bowler, I was intrigued to visit Pismo Bowl being that it was established in 1939. I really liked the old school vibe, from the diner to the bowling lanes itself. The manager however, can you use a class or two on customer service. I wanted to snap a photo of my son (who is also a bowler) with the "Welcome to Pismo Bowl" sign in the background and the manager rudely tells us to get out of the bowling area. Mind you, we were in the seating area and did not go on the approach. And there was a small group bowling a couple of lanes down so we weren't bothering anyone. Totally NOT welcoming as the sign suggests. read more

Poor service or maybe caught them on an off night because the staff was inhospitable and just downright rude. While waiting patiently for our turn, a few members of our party decided to pass the time by browsing some of the nearby stores. We were provided a wait time which was miscalculated by the gentleman at the front desk (he overestimated the wait time by 3x so it ended up being significantly shorter than anticipated). When I notified him that our party needed to be gathered, he snidely responded with a "well you asked to be placed on the waitlist". Thank you, sir. I realize that but you don't have to be rude and can courteously mention that you can help us again once we are all grouped and ready. There really was no need or prompting of that aggressive tone especially since it wasn't as if there was a previous negative interaction and there were no others waiting behind us. Also, at the conclusion of our session, we placed our balls back into the bins. For some reason his parting words were "put the balls away". Well, sir, if you would have cared to notice, we actually did put the balls away. Did you make that same comment to any of the other patrons? I'd hate to play the race card (we were a group of 8 asians) but his behavior was just odd given there was no provocation. Won't be going back. read more

Cute little place right on the beach! It's very small, but has an arcade in there too with a fairly big food menu too. Bowling prices were pretty decent. You can get a game with shoes for $8/person, each additional game is $3.50. The cosmic bowling was so fun!! I love this place. Yes, it's old. Yes, it's dingy. Yes, it might not be the cleanest place on earth. But it is what it is. The bowling is fun. The automatic scoring and automatic pin setting are highly suspect, the lanes are beyond waxing. But the nostalgia of the place more than makes up for the shortcomings. The food is snack food. Its okay, it is definitely plentiful. We stay in Pismo once a year and bowl every year, have for about a decade. The service here is outstanding...been the same young man the last two years (he is either the owner or the manager; he is always pleasant to deal with). The rules in this place are lax, and they just encourage you to have fun. Definitely worth it for you to stop in...unless you're the stuffy type that finds the faults with everything...if that's you, just walk on by. read more

" Needs More Supervision " We stepped into the Pismo Bowl and Restaurant door to see the video games and what they had to eat. We saw NO adult supervision in the gaming area. There were a lot of very young kids and some teenagers that were yelling at each other and cussing dirty words. They were screaming the F---k word all over the place. It was very uncomfortable to be standing in a room with about 12 kids yelling the F---K word very loud in front of everyone. Because of that we turned around and walked out of the Pismo Bowl and Restaurant. The management should Fire the person in charge of that area. read more

Called and made a reservation 2 days ahead of time for 5 pm on a Wednesday. Supposedly we are all set and we show up night-of and the guy working is like "sorry, it's league night" I explain that I made a reservation and he literally says "Not here you didn't. When did you call? Can you show it to me" and I pull up my call log on my phone that was made to this place, 2 days before. He says "well sorry, it's for league members only". Walked out and will never attempt to come again. Absolutely terrible and inconsiderate customer service. Don't waste your time trying to make a reservation when apparently they mean nothing. read more
