We went her for our daughter's birthday, on her request. We had a great experience. The restaurant is cozy and classy. The menu is great and our food was amazing. The service is also top-noch and they truly give you a culinary experience worth it. Thanks for giving us a great night celebrating our daughters birthday.

Brick walk Tavern is a wonderful place to go for a delicious dinner date night or with another couple great execution nice variety on their menu of delicious appetizers. Tasty entrées. French onion burger is delicious for starters zucchini chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely brussels sprouts delicious. Friends have had the Steak Frite said they delicious. But the house made desserts were the best, especially the crème brûlée and the peanut butter baked cookie. We also had the pistachio chocolate cake, which was good, but the others were better. I heard the apple tart is the best one. We will have to get that next time. Will add more pictures.

In Madrid, they have Casa Botin. It's very old. Stone walls, a wood-fired oven that's been burning for centuries. You go there to taste history, eat roast suckling pig, to eat something that's never changed. In Fairfield, there's Brick Walk Tavern. It's not ancient, but it feels timeless in the right ways. There's a seasonal fire burning here, too--not just in the hearth, but in the kitchen, in the staff, in the way the food hits the table. The room is warm. You can hear yourself think. You don't have to shout to be heard. At the same time it's a lot of fun as a later night place without question. The cuisine leaves you understanding why the CIA educated the chef. Excellent in all respects. Christine at the bar is the welcoming face of the restaurant and makes superb cocktails. In a world of overpriced, painfully loud places and people who don't seem to care anymore, this place does. The waitstaff looks you in the eyes. The chef has a commanding presence that makes you feel cared for as a guest. I highly recommend.

In our local Facebook groups, Brick Walk Tavern is consistently highly rated, for food and service, so I finally made it over there, with my daughter. And I'm so glad I did, and can't wait to go again. Service was fantastic from the moment we entered. The interior is very nice and there are some amazing historical photos on the walls. Food was superb! We started with shrimp shumai, which were out of this world! My daughter had burger and some of the best fries I've ever hard. I had a delicious swordfish with risotto, and we finished with ice cream and for me, an espresso martini. There was also a great wine list, and I tried a few new white wines, per recommendation of our server. This is one of those places where it's worth the money! Especially for special occasions, or if you're a foodie. So happy to have this place in Fairfield!

Delicious salads. The BWT Aperol Spritz was delicious, as well as the Sancerre wine! Thoughtful service.

Very reliable, consistent food offering with good service. Gets a little noisy when busy but never had a bad experience.

I can't give an honest review because I haven't eaten there. But I have heard nothing but good facts from it. I have got to check it out.

Surprising as I didn't expect cauliflower could taste so good. The jambalaya was also really good. The chicken taquitos and chicken dumplings were ok. Nice vibes, music pumping, drinks flowing...Chris our server was PHENOMENAL! She was a huge part of our magical experience. I started off with the buffalo cauliflower. I will preface this by saying I'm not a big Buffalo flavor person, but I'm a vegetarian and didn't feel like getting my usual vegetarian app - brussel sprouts. I wanted to expand my palate that evening and surprisingly I actually really liked it. The amount of blue cheese was perfect for me (despite the reviews) as it would have made it too salty and greasy. Next was my entree: Modified Kettle Cooked Zoodles. As a vegetarian, I never have the highest expectations but I was blown away! Chris our server was so sweet to have this customized for me. We took the idea of hubby's Branzino sauce and added more veggies to the Kettle cooked Zoodle dish. It was so yummy! Hubby's Branzino: fish was well cooked, elegant flavors from the Puttanesca sauce with spinach and mashed potatoes were excellent! Faux-ito: I got two, the first was the classic, the second was a mix of strawberry and pineapple. Both delicious mocktails! The Forbidden Pear: hubby got this one. very balanced, not sticky sweet. I can't believe this gem is just sitting here in Fairfield. Not too far off from a night in the city. We will definitely be back!

This place deserves way more attention than it gets. Tucked in downtown Bridgeport with easy street…read moreand garage parking nearby, 29 Markle Court walks in with serious style -- the decor is chic, the atmosphere is warm and cool at the same time, and it genuinely feels like somewhere you'd expect to find in a much bigger city. Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.
