When you have a super energetic toddler, and every weekend you have to think really hard how to…read moreburn down his/ her energy, it is troublesome.I've tried to bring my toddler to the playgrounds in local parks, but she got bored after going too many times. Then I started to think maybe she should learn how to exercise properly instead of playing regular swings or slides. This summer we had a chance to visit relatives in California. I did some search and brought my daughter to a kid's gym class where the equipments are designed for young toddlers. Apparently, my daughter loved it. After returned back Savannah, I started to search a similar place, and fortunately, I found Peds Play literally the next block from Monkey Joes Savannah. The small gym is belonged to Peds Health by Dr. Ericka Russell- Petty. I first asked Dr. Ericka whether I could take a look before taking kids in. She kindly agreed and showed me around. When I saw the equipments, I talked to myself "OMG, they look tough, I don't think my toddler is ready for them". Dr. Ericka told me kids always find what they can do and enjoy being in the gym. I went home and considered for 2 days, then a Saturday morning I decided to bring my kids to Peds Play. My toddler in the beginning was very careful looking for what she wants to play. 20 mins later, she started to move things around (thank God, because it was still early, and we were the only party in the gym, so I didn't have to worry disturbing other kids). Then almost an hour passed, my daughter played crazy in the gym and climbing the net like a monkey. In the end, I had to beg her to leave. I think Dr. Ericka was correct, you've never known what the limited is for a kid. When my daughter walked out the door and headed to the car, she told me "mummy, I am so tired, but I like it". As soon as we got home, she crushed on the couch immediately. Dr. Ericka currently arranges with different classes for Saturday afternoon. Also plans for summer camp. Although my kids are still too young for either one, I believe after they turn to 5 years old, they will be excited to join the programs. But at least for now, my toddler can have fun and burn down her energy in this kid's gym in the weekend. Additional information: Have to be 2-25 years old to participate, and must wear socks or sneakers. Age 2-12 years and under 60 inches tall is $10 for first hour then $5 for additional hour Age 13-25 years or above 60 inches tall is $12 for first hour then $6 for additional hour Come back the next day for $7 for first hour then $3 If you are interested in being members, pay $30 for 30 days Monday-Saturday 9am- 6pm, Sunday Closed You may see Peds Play door is locked during the business hours. Please walk to the office of Peds Health, the assistants will open the gym for you.

This place is a nice alternative to an outdoor park. Over all the equipment is well maintained…read morethough it can be a bit crowded. I tend to walk around with my kiddo when they are playing but I know there is a lot of drop in and play with less parent interaction. There are also a day camp and classes/events you can attend there which is nice. The only cons I can find is that there can be some kids who are not into sharing or taking turns. There are others who just have no regard for the fact that little kids are there too. Running or pushing them out from other play-sets. And some who do dangerous climbing on the equipment and get aggressive toward you when you ask them to stop, then follow you when you move to other play areas with your kiddo then monopolize that play area till you move again. But maybe that was just my experience.

They…read morehave: mini zip-line: pretty cool but the harness doesn't accommodate smaller toddlers who can't hold onto the straps themselves yet. It's more like a sling. Trampoline: decent size miniature rock climb wall: pretty cool chalk/crayon station: all the crayons are broken and they didn't have coloring books, just a single sheet of white paper laying out. Same with the chalk; broken. puzzle station: many missing pieces and a few broken. They had maybe four puzzles. train track station: this station sits right below a glass window that gets a lot of sunshine. Boy did it get hot sitting there playing with the trains. And this was on an October day. Can you imagine how hot it can get in the summer. They need to install a shade there. playhouse kitchen: limited amount of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and food items. Swings: not your typical swings that you think of at the park. I don't know what they're called but they're like hammock style swings. Climbing obstacles Monkey bars One thing that I noticed they are missing, a SLIDE and a ball pit. Even though I listed a lot of activities, I don't feel like it's toddler friendly. The physical activities required more advance hand and foot coordination. There's a lot of indoor activities for big kids already and I was hoping this was one for my younger toddlers.

Not overwhelming or loud for little kiddos. They were stocked with all sorts of toys and activities, including learning games, sensory toys and enrichment activities. There is something for every kid here. The workers are kind and friendly, and love interacting with the kids. Highly recommend! *picture covering kiddos eyes to protect privacy.*

We come here weekly for their classes: arts and craft, sensory touch, dance exercise, bubble & many many more. Every week it is something new and my little one is thriving here. The staff is super sweet and welcoming. The playground and toys are super clean and they mop/wipe down everything daily. The families that come here are so nice and kind, everyone's so friendly and I feel safe bringing my little one here. Highly recommend for those that are looking to make new mom/dad friends while your Little's socialize and hang out with each other. They also do birthday parties here and other events. I can't wait for our first party here in a few weeks. They provide party planner, decor, space etc. you name it, they have it!!

When we walked in, my first impression was that it was bit small. I was shocked when they told me that it was $26 for admission. Any thoughts I may have had of letting my infant play around fleeted away. That was quite expensive, particularly in comparison to similar places in Jacksonville and actually across the country. The place is cute though but probably better for very young kids. They have a water table, swings, small foam pit, small climbing apparatus with slides, dolls with bassinets, dress up clothes, and a few other things. After about 20 minutes, my daughter asked me if there was another room because she had played with everything already. Perhaps when our baby gets a little older we'll return without my older daughter. We'll see. I know they offer memberships but it would be hard for me to consider going there multiple times a month.

There were different areas/centers: kitchen, pet clinic, slides and swings, water table, etc. It is one big open space which is nice but also means there are toys everywhere and not always in the right "center" they are supposed to be in. They have a coffee machine and a snack area with water, milk, and juice options plus various snacks (fruit bars, goldfish, pirates booty, pringles, etc.). It's advertised for ages 0-5. My 5 year old had fun but felt like my 2.5 year old enjoyed it more. I'm glad we have something indoors for days when it's really hot or rainy. They also host birthday parties which I think would be best if they were private parties (not sure how they are setup). I can see us coming back!
