I came here today for the first time, and it was awesome! Destiny was so friendly and welcoming, she showed me around the place and even though I'd floated before at a different place, she gave me the run down . The room that I was in was very relaxing and clean. And of course the float was awesome. My tip for the lady customers would be to not shave your legs just before coming here because yowch, I've done that before and it doesn't feel great! This was my first time floating and I couldn't have picked a more perfect place to try it out. The ambiance is very relaxing and I love all of the art hanging on the walls. My room was very clean and the instructions were very straight forward. I concluded with a nice hot shower and was able to dry my hair and do my makeup before leaving. Experienced my first float at Float8 on 4/21/18 Amazing experience 90 minutes. Have done several since and will continue to do so. Have also been to several of their free sessions from meditation to yoga. Super clean, energetic location. If you haven't tried it, you must at least once. You might really like it. I've floated in Colorado and Pennsylvania this is by far my favorite float spa. From the time I walked in the door I felt a relaxing aura. Float 8 is very clean. The staff friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I love the toiletries in the shower. After your float there's fresh cucumber water, tea, or kombucha available. This place is the jam! Beautiful clean space, with each tank in it's own sound proof, light tight room. Each room has a shower, tank, and bench for storing your things. A wonderful and relaxing time. The owners were very helpful and informative. They put me at ease before I went in. The room was very nice and clean and had a small shower for before and after the float. The 90 minutes went by very quickly. It's a strange sensation at first (similar to floating in the ocean) but after a few minutes I was able to relax and put my head back. They gave me little ear plugs so water wouldn't get in my ears. They also told me to put them in before I showered so I wouldn't have water in my ears after I put the plugs in, very helpful! read more

This was such a positive experience from beginning to end. We were greeted by Max who walked us through everything that we needed to know as first time floaters. He called me in advance to let me know that the neighboring business was doing construction because he didn't want my experience to be affected. The establishment was clean, peaceful and exceeded my expectations. The float was an amazing experience. One minute I was focused on my breathing, the next I was my breathing...not sure how to describe the experience besides as a very deep meditative state, deeper than I have ever been before and I've been meditating over 20 years. I've always wanted to try sensory deprivation and my coworker told me about a local place that did it. I booked a 90 minute session with my roommate tagging along for the float with a friend discount. I really enjoyed the experience for the most part. The studio was clean and pleasant, open and welcoming. We were greeting when we came in and helped into our rooms. I got the suite so it was a little larger than the usual pods. I showered and got into the float chamber. The water is super slippery, the handles are definitely needed! It took me a while to get settled in and calmed down. The earplugs were bothering me so I took them out, that helped with comfort. When I first got in I noticed that the only thing I could hear was my seemingly LOUD breathing! Once I got calmed down I realized I could hear some pumps whirring off in the distance. The sound part of the deprivation was certainly spoiled for me here. I tried to tune it out but was often distracted by those pumps. Light was definitely cut out completely, eyes open or closed you couldn't tell the difference. Be careful not to get the salt water in your eyes, it burns! About 30 minutes in I was finally settled down, trying to ignore the pumps. Physically I kept bumping into the sides of the chamber but I was able to still my movements enough to not feel anything at all. My back and neck popped a bunch almost like an adjustment. I was dozing in and out of partial sleep, relaxing with occasional weird dreams :). Towards the end of my session I started humming because I was starting to get bored, but then some music started playing to signify the ending of my session. What wasn't relayed to me was that you should rinse out your ears very well afterwards if you don't use the ear plugs or you'll end up with crusty ears and a headache later on in the day. I wish there was some music or maybe some chakra chimes perhaps. The music at the end was pretty cool, it kinda made me wish I had some kind of simulated sound the whole time. read more

Floating is great, the pods are large enough to stretch in and then settle for a meditate experience. I was a little nervous about 90 minutes but it went so fast. Such a relaxing, cathartic experience for my first visit to Float8 Wellness Lounge. As a float newbie, I truly appreciated the time Matt the owner took to orient me and explain the process, from both a logistical and theoretical perspective. He even threw in some handy tips that were left out of my first float training at another facility that made all the difference (ie put your earplugs while still dry, dry your face off after shower/before float to avoid distracting tickles, etc). More than that, the lounge itself is a soothing environment, beautifully decorated w an extensive art collection, all the amenities you could think of including snacks, a kombucha bar and toiletries, and impeccably clean. I enjoyed taking some time after my float to explore the eclectic book collection in the lounge and meditate on my 2nd float experience. Headed back for #3 today! What a gem! Float8 is one of the cleanest, most relaxing and therapeutic establishments I've ever visited. I live out of town but have floated twice there so far--once in the suite and once in a pod--both times were outstanding.
