After this particular class they let you stay for their meditation class which for me was very much needed. I also thought the mats were really cool. They are height based and show you where your hands go. I'm not flexible and there were plenty of modifications with the blocks to help. They provide everything you need. Nice size class. I love floating at Flolo Holistic! The sensory deprivation float has been useful as a way to address my chronic migraine because the salty water is full of magnesium. They have a nice recording they play to let you know when the session is beginning and ending. For showering they provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, and q-tips. For floating they provide ear plugs, which I recommend using so you don't get your ears full of water. There's also a little spray bottle of fresh water in case you accidentally get salt water in your eye. I like Flolo's vibe overall - it's relaxing and homey, very tranquil without being pretentiously luxurious. This was my second time floating in a sensory deprivation tank. The first time was in a different place, and two years had passed since then. The first time, I didn't use the neck support for almost the entire session until I put it below my neck, and it made such a difference. This time, I used the neck support the whole time. At first, I felt it took me some time to relax fully, but my body and mind were getting used to it until they finally relaxed. I noticed that after the session, the pain in some areas of my body was gone. I also feel that my focus and mood have improved since I floated. I got a sensory deprivation float with this spa and it was just lovely. First we were met at the front desk with very kind staff who gave us slippers and directed us to the basement where there were 2 separate rooms with tubs. One seemed to be made for couples as it was larger and another that was within it's own separate room with stars on the ceiling for comfort. The process was simple and I quickly sunk into a sleep only to be awoken an hour later fully refreshed. There was a private shower with soap shampoo and conditioner. This is my first time doing a wet float (float therapy) as well as my first time at Flolo Holistic. Overall experience: 3.5 stars I arrived a little early for my appointment and that was fine. No one was using the wet floats ahead of me. You need to take off your shoes and wear their provided slippers (shared slippers - not disposable ones). The wet float rooms (one that's a single pod and another that's a pool that can fit up to two people) were located in the lower floor of another spa establishment. You have to enter the elevator again- go to the first floor and take stairs down to the float rooms. It was definitely out of the way from the rest of the Flolo Holistic but was also more private. You are given a walkie- talkie like device to contact staff if you needed help. I chose the pool since I wanted a bigger space and felt a bit claustrophobic in the pod. Inside the pool room was a shower (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash included; all felt good and decently good quality) and a small nook area with hooks, mirror, a few amenities (cotton pads, disposable silicon ear plugs, lotion, q-tips, makeup remover, and an ointment for any cuts). You shower first to remove any body oil and also remove your makeup before entering the float pool. I was told the pool would take about 5 minutes to start (will have a rumbling noise when it starts) but for me, it took about 10 mins after I had finished started so I was just waiting around for it to start. It was longer than I expected but the countdown for your float session starts when the rumbling starts. Float experience: 4 stars There was a button at the wall to adjust light and the sound(?). I turned off the lights and enjoyed the float in the dark. The sound or music button did not work for me. I didn't hear any music or sounds. It was easy to float and there was enough room to stretch your arms and legs. There was also a float device to rest your head in the water but it was not necessary since your head will float naturally and easily in the water. Floating in the water felt quite relaxing but there were a few things that I didn't like. I'm not sure why but I'll always end up floating to the edge and my head, feet, or hands would end up touching the edge of the pool even if I was floating in the middle to start with. Maybe I was not floating properly or my posture is wrong but touching the edges really took away from my sensory deprivation experience. Also, the pool is not as deep as I would've liked. It was to easy to move your hands or feet and you'll easily touch the bottom of the pool. This also took away the sensory deprivation experience. I think the water could've been warmer or the room could've been warmer. In the float pool, the areas of my body that were not submerged in the water felt so cold and I had goose bumps. It was hard to feel relaxed when part of your body had goosebumps from the cold and the other part felt okay in the water. The salt water in your eyes is a terrible experience and sadly it happened a few times. My advice is to move gently in the water and avoid big movements that can splash water on your face. They provide a spray with water that you can spray your eyes when salt water gets into your eyes. That came in handy many many times. There was also a face towel you can use to wipe your face. The ointment also came in handy when my upper lip started to sting half way through. It took a while for me to really just relax and enjoy the experience instead of letting my brain wander and just feel restless. But when I got to that point, it felt very relaxing as long as you're careful not to get salt water on your face. At the end of your session, the lights light up and I knew my session was over. I took a shower after and washed my hair. I could see the filtration happen in the pool as I was washing up. I noticed there was no hair dryer and I called up to a staff member to ask for a hair dryer. I waited around 10-15 mins with no communication when I called back asking if I should just go upstairs instead. She notified me that all the hair dryers are in use and I can come up to wait. So I went upstairs and there I waited for another 10-15 mins before I could access a hair dryer. In total I had to wait about 30+ mins with wet hair waiting for a hair dryer. That really killed my experience for me. They should have another hair dryer downstairs in the float room for convenience. I didn't want to leave with wet hair so I had no choice but to stay and wait for a hair dryer but if I had plans afterward, I would be running late. They don't do birthday promotions but they have a summer promotion $69 for a 60 minute float session. It's an unique experience and fun to try! To whom it may concern, I did not have the greatest experience. I entered excited but I left dissatisfied and disappointed. Floating in itself seems to be a wonderful realm of therapy however there were things that hindered that anticipation. Let's begin with the wash clothe I was given, it was tainted with holes --it even shredded while I was using it. I didn't know how to turn the green light off; I kept pressing it but it wouldn't turn off until I did it once more (probably pressed it 4x). As I'm floating and trying to meditate, there's loud conversations happening so close that it was throwing my focus off. Someone kept walking up and down the hall, walking extremely heavy. Not sure if it was whomever was walking but someone kept knocking on the door to my room. Lastly, the earplugs kept coming out of my ear and actually now I when I yawn I hear there's still water inside. If I didn't need the earplugs I rather have been told they were optional and opt out than to have them continuously fall out and distract my meditation. I will say, the one great experience I had was the shower. That's an amazing waterfall shower-head! I'm sure I would have a pleasant experience if it weren't for so many distractions interrupting my experience. Thank you for your time and for having me. The signal that it is over is that the lights come on, but it didn't seem to work. i got out and noticed that I was at time. Came here last night for a deep cleansing facial and was pleasantly surprised. The place was very relaxing and immediately coming in, they had me take off my shoes so it seemed more homey. I had the facial with Angel. They actually called and emailed me prior about possibly rescheduling due to an anniversary party after and they were worried that it would be somewhat loud and would disturb my session. I declined because I figured I could stop by the party afterward and the noise to prep wouldn't really disturb me. The session was quite nice - Angel was very easy to talk to and addressed some of my concerns (dry skin now that it's cold). There was also this thing at the end where she pretty much zapped my entire face to bring the serum up. She explained it to me but honestly, I'm still not quite sure. It was the only thing in the session where it was more on the uncomfortable side since I just felt random parts on my face being zapped. It wasn't painful just uncomfortable. At the end, I didn't end up going to the party because it was still quite early and the space was quite small for how many they were expecting (400-500). I would definitely like to come back again. They seem to have a lot of nice other services that they offer that I would like to try. read more

My appointment time is always a Tuesday at 1pm and they know that's when I schedule. I think they're rather professional and the price is good. I've always felt very welcome. I tried the salt room and infrared sauna. I didn't really see the benefit of the salt room but the dry sauna was great. The salt room is a very small room with just one bed and heating laps. If there's a yoga class in session, the room is not sound-proof and you can actually heard the instructor talk, but I was so tired that day I actually fell asleep for a short while. The sauna is right across the hall and has it's own shower (not full bathroom, no toilet) so it was an easy transition. The sauna was already heated and set to 30 minutes, I started sweating at 15 minute mark but it felt very comfortable. There are water and towels in the room and they also automatically build in extra 20-30 minutes for you to shower after the sauna so no one will interrupt you. Online appointment is very easy and payment and quick at the end of the session. read more

I did one float. It was fine, obviously relaxing, and I enjoyed it. A few years later I tried it again and it was a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL of relaxation. It was transporting. It was so relaxing that I lost mental touch with my body. I was 95% asleep and would've sworn I was in bed at home - I could feel the pillow and sheets - but obviously I was not. I have NEVER been that relaxed, ever, in any environment or under ANY chemical, physical, or other circumstances. It felt at least 3 times longer than it really was. When it was over it took me at least a full minute to be able to use my brain to convince my body to move. I was SO relaxed that it was a little freaky. If you need this kind of relaxation in your life, give this place a try - and try going more than once, because like other kinds of experiences, it seems the first time you're just figuring out what it IS, and the second time and thereafter you can actually fully enjoy its benefits. The facility is beautiful -- such a great vibe & aesthetically perfect. Every detail has been thought of from walking in the door to the float itself. Loved everything. I thought the float would be scary or claustrophobic, but it's not AT ALL, at least not how Floating Lotus has set it up. It's literally genius & just feels like you're getting into bed for the perfect rest, except in a pool of warm, floaty water. First, you enter into a "changing" room, equipped with anything you may need -- qtips, lotion, etc. they've thought of it. You put your ear plugs in & take a shower, in such a beautifully designed stone shower with a PERFECT shower head, you never want to get out lol. They give you towels, shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. Now, you already have your ear plugs in, so you've gotten used to the sound piece. The lights in the changing room are on a motion sensor. You step into the pod to float & there is another light in there that you control. You can leave it on or turn it off at your leisure once you feel all cozy resting on your headpiece. So you flip that off like a night stand light then as you're laying with your eyes closed, the motion sensor light goes off. So you gradually & gracefully go into darkness. It's not like you're plunged into darkness / zero sound and have to get used to it. This to me was the biggest deal and the most well thought out part. THIS is what made it not terrifying. No one shuts you into a tank, into the sound proof total darkness and leaves you for an hour while you breathe through a pounding heart & anxiety ridden body attempting to get used to it & convince yourself yes, this was a good idea! NO. Quite the opposite in fact. A lovely soul gives you a tour, explains everything, & then you gradually slip into zero sound, zero light, & zero gravity, and float like it's the most natural thing to do ... and then you get to shower again after :))) And the next day?? What chronic pain? It was the first time in 10 years I stepped out of bed without wincing. I can't say I was cured, but I can say the difference was extreme. I felt it in my day to day & in my yoga practice. The difference in my spine was amazing, as well as other areas I experience pain from prior injuries. The woman at the front desk greeted me and after a short intake I was led to the upstairs sauna. It was a very relaxing sauna - in its own room with adjacent spa shower. It was truly a nice way to take a break and receive the benefits of the sauna on my aching, tense muscles. I've floated at Chill Space before, but bought a Gilt City to try this place out. It's pretty easy to find, and the waiting area is quite cozy. The float room is completely private, so you can get undressed and dressed all in one space which is pretty great. I got a good run down of how everything worked, as it was my first time at the studio, so A+ on that. Unfortunately, the float experience itself was only so-so. The water was only 6 inches deep (depth of my fingertip to my wrist) - my bottom almost grazed the bottom surface of the tank the entire time! It was also less dense than I would have expected (i.e. I wasn't as buoyant as usual), so my lower back did not feel supported in the float whatsoever. I felt like the lower half of my body was sinking/at a downward angle from the rest of my body. I did feel better afterwards and reduced some muscle soreness I had, but as I was barely floating it was hard to fully relax and get all the benefits of floating. Conclusion: I have had different services (facials, floats, sauna). Nothing wrong or disappointing, but nothing impressive and memorable. Not worth paying the full price. Facials -- I've had three different technicians. I felt the experience was more about slathering your face with lotions vs. making sure your face got a real deep clean. The technicians were gentle, but at the expense of not doing a real thorough job with extractions - probably because they didn't want to cause any pain and discomfort. For example, I had a technician who didn't want to extract a white head because she didn't have the proper lancet, so my face didn't feel smooth afterwards. My first few times was a decent experience nothing too extravagant, however during one of my recent facials I was scheduled with a women named Jill. The hormones made me break out everywhere and I had a ton of dark marks from the blackheads and pimples I decided to pick at. As soon as I met Jill she was very nice and accommodating. She even told me not to get microdermabrasion while I have active acne because is spreads the bacteria and causes more breakouts, which made complete sense because when I previously got micros there (not from Jill) the next few days I would break out like crazy. Anyways, since my initial appointment with Jill, I have gone back three more times. I actually look forward to my upcoming appointments because my face has done a 360. Her facials are AMAZING, I actually call it a face massage because it is so relaxing. Even the extractions she makes seem so easy. Since that first facial with HER (a month and a half ago) I have gotten only one pimple!!! She sent me home with and at home regimen and suggested a few facial products for my oily/sensitive skin. She even gave me her email address so if I had any questions or concerns I could contact her. I loved the gal that greeted me and spent time answering each of my questions. I would love to have her acknowledged for such great customer service and knowledge that she displayed. The space has a sacred feeling. So please omg to the senses. The salt room is where I visited first and within a few seconds I was engulfed into this bean pod that was so comfortable. Before I knew it 45 mins had flown by. I was shown the other areas and I will go soon to the floating pool. That looks so relaxing. I can't wait to return. I went earlier today to try the sensory deprivation tank and I honestly feel gypped. My butt was completely touching the bottom of the pod the entire time and therefore I wasn't floating and experiencing this very much needed tranquility. The lady at the front said that they check the salt level constantly but that sometimes there's not enough salt and that it's happened to her in the past as well. She said sometimes they can also put in extra water - I'd estimate the depth I was in about 5-6 inches at best. I will say that the place is very clean and the woman at the front desk was super friendly and very informative not just about how to use a sensory deprivation tank but also what its benefits are, etc. And she's the only reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star one. Otherwise I feel like I tossed out money for nothing and likely won't return or even try sensory deprivation tanks ever again. So make sure you ask them about the salt level, I kind of just assumed it's at the right level but when you assume,...you know the rest of the saying. read more

I've been here a few times for yoga/meditation classes and have always had a positive experience. The yoga room is beautiful, especially with the ceiling. Only part that I'm not a fan of is how small the area where the front desk is located. You have to take off your shoes there, so not only is it a narrow space, but the footwear is all over the place as well. Other than that, I haven't had any problems. However, i haven't tried any of their other services like the sauna, salt cave, and facials. It looks like from other reviews that people have had mixed experiences but unfortunately, I can't comment on that. I did think about getting facials at floating lotus but I might just stick to the classes for now. read more

I will preface this buy saying I bought my flotation tank package on groupon. I hope that's the only possible reason they have such poor customer service. TL;DR couldn't get an appointment and they made me wait 20+ mins to check out. It took me well over a week to book my appointment. They seemingly never answered the phone or called me back. They called back 2x. Once they didn't leave me a voicemail. The second time I was in the middle of a meeting and answered because otherwise I knew I would never connect with them again. I finally book my apt. I get there all is fine. Here's the paperwork, here's our tank etc. the room needs a little TLC, repainting, replacing the wooden, crumbling vanity. All was good. I had a great float and was more relaxed than I had been in months I finish and leave the room. 2 ppl at the front desk, no acknowledgement that I'm there. They are checking out another couple, fine. But then it goes on and on and on. I asked if I could check out and they said just a minute. Just a minute turned into 20 minutes of booking another dozen appointments, dinner recommendations, the different scents that were used in their facial. I was pissed at this point and said you gotta pause this conversation and check me out. Everyone was annoyed at ME. They asked me to wait another few minutes. I said no. I paid the $3 in taxes, they didn't even pretend to ask me if I wanted to tip and left. Use a little common sense. Let someone else check out and then go ahead and book a ton of new appointments. What is too bad for you guys is I left ready to buy a package and come float 1x a month. Never coming back here again! read more
