Todd Trask and his team of thugs came into my home to dry out and restore a slab leak. The leak had been detected by a plumber that is not on Todd's team. He had fixed the leak in one day. He did a good job. THEN came Todd's team of 2 who brought their vape pipe in with them to asses the work. They then began to tear my kitchen apart and damage just about everything in their path. Tape that pulled up my saltillo pavers finish, leaving my two kitchen cabinets out in the rain for over 10 days (during which time it rained on them) then removing the water damaged cabinets to their warehouse, where they proceeded to damage my quartz countertops. Todd refused to pay for the rebuild of the 2 cabinets, although they were in good enough shape to put back in place once the restoration phase was to take place, the cabinets were now unusable. The driers and moisture pulling equipment that they ran ran for 6 days, an excessive amount for the water damage that had been detected, (but you see, he could then charge me for the 5 days of running their equipment that overflowed into a pan that was underneath it on the first day). When removing my wood flooring in the kitchen ( about a 3' by 4' area) they damaged 6 more satillo tiles with their jackhammer. They also dinged my hand carved front door while moving equipment in and out, removed the baseboard that is made of satillo tiles in such a manner as to ruin 2/3rds of it, and then proceeded to created an estimate that would have overcharged me by thousands of dollars. They argued with me at every turn as to the damage they had caused, the vaping, the drinks they spilled on the undamaged area of my floor, and their general lack of concern, skill or interest in maintaining my home and restoring it to it's original state. I would NEVER recommend Flood Response or Todd Trask and his team of houligans. If you're filing a claim, they will overcharge by almost 3 x's for the amount that it should cost, thereby dinging your insurance company for fees and tasks they didn't even perform. Check your estimate carefully. Check each item and question anything you don't understand. These guys are flim flam men who care nothing about your property or your inconvenience. I want to be as fair and honest as possible with this review. We recently sold our duplex in Palm Desert and closed escrow a few days ago. During the buyer's inspection, potential mold was discovered, so we proceeded with testing. The results confirmed mold in both kitchens and bathrooms. The testing company was excellent--fast, communicative, and professional. Based on their recommendation, we chose Flood Response for remediation. Flood Response responded quickly and efficiently, starting work right away, which was crucial since we were already in escrow. They moved through the remediation process swiftly, which we greatly appreciated. Given our time constraints, we also hired Flood Response to handle the reconstruction afterward. This is where we encountered some challenges. Roy was assigned to the rebuild and provided an estimate promptly. However, we were caught off guard when he informed us that all kitchen and bathroom cabinets had been removed and destroyed during remediation and would need to be custom-ordered, requiring roughly 30 days to replace. This was unexpected and put our escrow at risk. Had we been made aware of the cabinet situation earlier--perhaps when remediation was under way--we could have started the replacement process sooner (about 2 weeks). That said, I want to acknowledge Roy's efforts. He worked hard to expedite the cabinetry and completed the work faster than initially estimated. The quality of the finished product was excellent, and Flood Response's craftsmanship was top-tier. However, communication throughout the process could have been better. I often had to reach out for updates and push for faster turnaround times. The entire project took a little over 30 days, during which we had to extend escrow twice, incurring penalties. In summary, Flood Response delivers high-quality work, and their team is skilled. However, improved communication and a greater sense of urgency would have made this experience much smoother. read more

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole crew and everyone involved in my water mitigation, cleanup and remodel from Flood Response! Actually being out of town when the incident happened, everyone was beyond being helpful. Dealing with Alyssia, Christina and all that answered the phone, were all very instramental in getting to the person that was responsible for what was going on or able to help me with my concern. Jose helped get the water mitigation handled and taken care of without any inconvience. The guys doing the water mitigation were very professional and accommodating. It was a pleasure welcoming them into my home! Lamar was invaluable in navigating through the insurance process in his great knowledge of the what was going on. Kandy in accounting was always on top of things to make sure everything was being processed properly. I dealt with many of the staff at Flood Response and if I forgot anyone, please forgive me as it was not intentional as everyone in that organization has a huge roll to play in getting the job completed as expeditiously as possible with the least amount of inconvenience. In August 2019, while out of town, we learned that there was a leak in our AC unit at our home in the desert. We called our AC company who came out and flushed it. However, our neighbor suggested that we contact some sort of restoration company in case of potential mold. Since our HVAC unit is in a closet right outside the guest room where our elderly parents stay, we agreed but had no idea who to contact; especially since we were out of town and did not know who was reputable in this type of situation. We called a family friend who is a real estate broker who recommended 2 companies, the first of which was Flood Response. We called them and they were able to send someone out to our house immediately to assess the situation and provide us with a free estimate. We dealt with Donnie Means from start to finish. Luckily, the damage was covered by our insurance. Donnie explained each step of the process to us and they completed their water mitigation for us while we were still out of town. On December 7, 2017, I had a water pipe burst inside a wall. My Insurance Agent recommended a company to help clean up the flood. I waited over two hours and they never showed. My plumber had a card for Flood Response and recommended them. I called them and they came out within the hour. I've never been so pleased with a company and impressed by their employees. Flood Response did an outstanding job repairing and restoring our condo after a flood. The water line connected to the refrigerator ice maker separated and sent water cascading through the kitchen, dining room and living room, destroying the kitchen cabinets and soaking the carpet. Jimmy Absmeier from Flood Response supervised the initial restoration and oversaw the removal of damaged carpet, cabinets and appliances. He then developed a plan and cost estimate for the repairs. Amazing team, amazing company! Everyone I spoke to and worked with was totally unparalleled! And, I wasn't within 2500 miles of where they worked for me. That's right. Flood response and reconstruction had to be done in California while I live in Hawaii. Without asking any questions they got in the day the damage occurred and worked non-stop until all the remediation was done. And, done very well. Everything they said they would do, they did. Wow what service! Having a flood in your home is a nightmare, these people were nothing but helpful and professional. They got to us quickly in the middle of the night and started their efforts to get the water out and start drying the walls. My husband and I called Flood Response when the washing machine malfunctioned and water overflowed into the utility room and kitchen. Flood Response arrived a half hour after we called. They cleaned up the water and placed heated fans throughout the kitchen, utility, and into one bedroom where water had soaked through to the baseboards. After the rooms were completely dried out, Flood Response worked with our insurance company to reconstruct the areas damaged by the water. The kitchen cupboards were replaced, a new floor was put in, and painting was done. Flood Response did a very good job on the reconstruction. They worked wonderfully with the insurance company. Unfortunately my house flooded from a broken pipe. I was recommended to call Flood Response from a neighbor and couldn't be happier with the service they provided. A crew arrived at my house within 45 minutes and walked me through the steps in getting my house dried out and back to living conditions.
