We went to look for our floor material. We were shopping around for a couple of stores but this place had the best quality and most knowledgeable staff to help us through. We purchased bamboo floor and asked for a lot of questions about how to install and the handlings. Mary was helping us all the way from the purchase to the instruction and very very helpful. All the transactions was smooth and now we are working on installing the floor into our house. Great selection and high quality material with wonderful staff. We visited Floor & Decor and took advantage of the free design service. Our designer was Rick Glass. He is awesome -- friendly, exceptionally talented, listened intently and patiently answered any questions we had. He took us around and, using a special cart showed us how the various tile combinations will look. He also explained why certain combinations of various tiles will work and why others may not. In the end, after we have finalized our choices, he took the dimensions of our bathroom and calculated how many boxes of each of the tiles we selected will be needed. And it was spot on! We will definitely recommend Rick Glass to our friends and family if they are planning to do a renovation of their bathroom. read more

I went to floor&decor located at 500 Carson Town Center North, Carson Ca 90745 . Upon entering the store customer service was Horrible until I asked for a manager. Then I was greeted by the manager of the store which was Mr.Jacob. Because of his attitude and professionalism I purchased 3,300.00 worth of materials to redo my newly purchased home. If I could I would give a Big Fat Zero for customer service. I special ordered flooring 2 weeks ago and was told they would call me when the order came in in 7-10 days. Exactly 14 days later I called. The first time the phone rang for 3 minutes without any answer. I hung up and called back, this time someone answered. I told them why I was calling. I was told to hold on...24 minutes ago. They never did come back to the phone so I hung up and called back. Over 11 minutes calling and the phone has been ringing and ringing, no answer then they answer the phone and hang up on me. I wish I had NEVER given them my business and money! read more

The selection is great but the customer service is poor. Nobody is available to answer questions or place orders, and when I have asked staff how I can get assistance, they don't know and don't seem to care that they can't help. Ok I saw a good review for Anum but I can honestly say I had a horrible experience with her ! She was rude and stated she was a supervisor but her way of talking and approach was really unfriendly , lack of customer service and bad attitude. She ask me for an ID for a $70 transaction (which I hadn't been asked for one when I purchased a larger amount days before a) and her demeanor and approach was not as supervisor attitude as she claimed to be. She would not have allowed me to purchase my stuff with out an ID . I've had good experiences with cashiers and associates at the store multiple times but I can say today was not a good one. Not sure who made her supervisor but Customer service skills , attitude and customer resolution skills should be taken into consideration . read more

The salesman Alex was extremely helpful and polite. We bought flooring for our kitchen ahead of an install midweek. However - when we opened the planks, one box of tiles was damaged on one side. Just discovered this store when it was recommended by our contractor. They offer a huge selection of tiles and flooring and all the things you need for your project. It was overwhelming at first because there are so many isles filled with fabulous choices. The prices range from low to high so there is something for every budget. Everyone we encountered who works there was extremely helpful and we had lots of questions! They answered all of them. Now I even know what a Schluter is used for! (We needed 7 of them) Jacob even wheeled my heavy cart out to my car and loaded it up for me. Thank you! I really recommend this store. read more

Just bought my first home a few cities over but still decide to come here, they have an awesome employee named Cait who is very knowledgeable and helpful, my first time there it was like pulling teeth to try and get someone out. But Cait reached out and gave me knowledge that I didn't know I needed. I ended up buying everything for my bathroom remodel there, had she not helped me I probably would have went else where. We left the Floor & Decor store in Downey because materials I wanted for our bathroom remodel was low in quantity after waiting quite a while looking for a member of their staff who was not very helpful or friendly. We headed to the Carson store and we were so happy we made that trip. We immediately noticed that they had much more inventory and happy to find a very helpful associate Makayla. She went well beyond with her excellent customer service and provided great ideas to help us decide the necessary materials to complete the needs for our bathroom project. She made the experience seamless and can't thank her enough for her excellent customer service. We would definitely return to this store even though the Downey location is closer to our home. read more

Very disappointing experience. I ordered thousands of dollars of tile from F&D for my home remodel. It took a month to arrive and when I bought it I was told I could return any of the unused tile. I had a-lot of tile left over in unopened boxes and perfect condition. So I brought it back to the store expecting a refund or at least store credit. They declined both because given construction delays I was there a couple of weeks past the 90 day cut off. Even with receipts that wouldn't take any of it back. So now I'm stuck with boxes and boxes of penny tile and white porcelain tiles - probably worth at least $500.00 (my contractor obviously doesn't know how to measure accurately either!) The store employees wanted to help me but couldn't because the decision is made by some corporate algorithm. I hate to throw it in landfill but don't know what else to do. Shame on Floor & Decor for their false claims re returns, corporate greed and environmentally inconsiderate policy. Won't be using or recommending anyone use them again. read more

I just wanted to post a shout out to Jacob at the Floor & Decor facility in Carson who saved the day for my kitchen tile on Tuesday. There was a mixup in the Remote Buy order that I placed at another location and when my guys got to Carson to pick up the order it was discovered that the cashier sent the order to Mission Viejo instead of Carson, so the tile couldn't be released from their facility! So I desperately call over to Carson and thank the stars in heaven that I got Jacob on the line. He figured out what happened and told me exactly what I needed to do to get it fixed. Bottom line: my contractor was able to get the tile and my floor is all done. It wouldn't have happened without Jacob's help! My sincere thanks to Jacob on going above and beyond!! I am an established designer and builder in the South Bay area and I have been ordering Tile for over 35 years. I have never had my Tile stolen before from a store. Someone impersonating my installer, had a copy of invoice within 30 minutes of me leaving the store and picked up my order Knew my name and had a copy of my invoice. Since no one from this store has been helpful. I am now contacting the police for a formal investigation into this matter. Don't waste your time ... customer service is horrible.... this is my 4th time trying to pick up material... three days in a row the aisles were closed because they were working on something when I asked an employee how long it would take them the finish so I can grab material he responded I don't know last time they took a day ... ridiculous... then I asked the employee if he could just grab the material he refused... and said he couldn't because there was a sign on the material ... like pick up the sign and grab the material .why do maintenance in the middle of the day knowing that you have customers. Also there are about 10 employees working and two customers in the whole store, but yet you can't get any help! And when you call, the phone just keeps ringing! When we decided to replace our downstairs flooring I was fully prepared to be disappointed and frustrated ahead of time since our experience with home improvement contractors have always been disappointing. Often they would under deliver and overpromise. So I was genuinely surprised by our experience with Floor & Decor's Flooring Manager David B and Steve for their amazing attention to detail and genuine customer advocacy and service. So we started out with David B who arranged for a contractor from "Flooring Made Easy" (company they use exclusively at the store) who came to do an estimate on time and provided us a 2 day timeframe to complete and will arrive with our materials on hand. The installer provided us with an itemized list of materials needed which Dave had to order from 2 locations - Downey and Carson. I was genuinely surprised that he was so precise with his calculations of all the materials that we had exactly the amount needed plus a small allowance to keep handy for repairs - which was amazing! And he was so patient and understanding with all our questions and requests for materials during frequent visits to the store. So, at the time of materials delivery by the installer as I expected, not all the materials were delivered. So when I contacted David who was not at the office at the time, I ended up working with Steve who appeared to be alone helping other customers at the store and on the phone (coz I can hear the phone ringing in the background as we were speaking) I again fully expected that when he said he would " call me back" because he had to look up my work order that it was simply lip service to get me off the phone. But to my amazement, not only did he call me back with exactly the information I needed, he provided me with the information I needed to give the contractors to ensure they would return to deliver all the materials before the job started. This was amazing! Then, in the morning of the second day of work, I realized that the installers were falling behind with the demolition of the old flooring so I called David B to complain and to my amazement within 2 hours, 2 additional workers came to help the 3 that were already here. In the end, they finished in 5 days which was okay because the installers were not only courteous but were also respectful with our furniture handling and left the worksite tidy and cleaned as thoroughly as they could everyday. I'm writing this to Floor & Decor's corporate management because I want you to recognize 2 ordinary men who provided an extraordinary experience to meticulous (anal) people like ourselves. It's not everyday we meet people in customer service who truly understand what customer advocacy means so they are great workers to emulate. read more

But I want to bring special attention to Anum, who went the extra mile & found the quarter round pieces we needed to complete our project. She took the extra time to search for these back ordered pieces, found them at the San Diego store, & had them sent to Carson at no extra charge! They arrived 2 days after I spoke to her. Her effort was truly appreciated! The only reason I gave 4 stars is it took me 4 phone calls & waiting on hold 30 min. before someone finally connected me to Anum! On our second trip there we got excellent advice and customer support from designer Makayla, who helped us put together the items we needed for our bathroom. I was helped by a gentleman by the name of Rick he was very patient by calling others stores to look for 2 slabs of granite for me . As I was waiting I noticed another friendly gentleman by the name of Jacob . Since Rick was on hold Jacob asked me if I needed assistance . OMG, not only did he advised me of how to do certain things , he assisted me with my purchase . At that time I noticed he was a manager when I read his name badge .
