Went to this location after going to the Plano and The Colony locations, where the designers were LESS than friendly or helpful. Walked into this Dallas store (trying to match granite & quartz from a store/warehouse around the corner, for our kitchen & bath remodels) so we could match everything else we need for the remodel at Floor & Decor. We immediately went to the design center, as my contractor told me to do. Did not have an appointment, but BJ (the very experienced & competent designer - who actually LOOKED like a designer, too!) helped us, since her appointment was very late. (Her appointment never showed) Her bubbly personality, taste and knowledge really helped make it a fun thing! I explained the look we were going for, and BJ immediately took us right to what we wanted. She went down the list - backsplash, flooring, shower tiles, grout, etc. I don't know how she understood from the little I told her EXACTLY what we wanted, but she did! I'm so thankful to have met her, and will definitely use her on future projects! Her great taste and experience helped us choose everything we needed. Although they have tons of stuff their customer service is horrible. It doesn't matter even if you use the interior decorators. They are unfriendly people. And if anything is wrong with your order, good luck ever making it right. You'll just waste more money. read more

The first time I went to use the account no body had a clue on how to use my account and made me come back when a manager was there the next day. I headed over to Floor & Decor with my contractor to find some good prices on new tile for my bathroom remodeling. They have a great selection of stone, granite, travertine, ceramic, etc. for all of your tiling needs. They have a variety of flooring options as well. Hence the name FLOOR and DECOR. This store even has all of the materials for installation. The staff was helpful, but could have been more informed about the products. They carry around calculators, which came in handy! We waited up front for quite awhile before anyone came to ring in the purchases, but it is their slow season so they may have been short of staff. I got all the tile (including deco pieces) for under $400, a fantastic price! That was with my contractor's 5% discount too. Check this place out if you're in the mood for a project. read more

BJ is the designer at this location that I have worked with twice and she is excellent! She designed a bathroom in my personal house which is our favorite bathroom in the house and she designed a bathroom for a house that is going to be flipped. She's very good at listening to her clients about their budget and can design something really great and pretty much any budget. She is a very talented designer. She has a lot of experience and very good taste. We had an idea from a picture from the internet and with this she helped us out to pick something similar. We decided to install some slate tile in our bathroom. I bought some other slate from a big named boxed store brought it home and was not happy with. I friend told me I should try Floor & Decor because they have a larger selection of slate on hand than most others. I have installed porcelain tile in the past but was a little skeptical of the slate because of the leveling issues around the toilet area. One of the sales mangers by the name of Tim White quickly put my mind to ease. He explained the process for my application and was pretty confident from that point on. I did have some additional questions when I got home about the install and called the store and they walked me thru my problem. They have a great showroom with some cool stuff! read more

I would give negative star if I could! Bought flooring at one location and picked up the rest at another and they did not honor prices of the Mesquite store and every employee in there was rude and did not seem like they cared for customer service or unhappy customers at all! So I am returning all of the flooring and canceling my credit line with this place! I was a little bit perturbed when I picked up my order from Mesquite store from the warehouse but this tops it off they give you a real good sale and customer service when you buy it but when you pick it up it seems to be a totally different experience and I don't like it! read more

About a year ago, I posted a not so favorable review of this location. The selection was great but the service and the attitude of the staff was not good at all. They put new management in and over the months there has been a huge improvement. The staff is friendly, helpful and it is now a pleasure to shop there. We do a lot of rehabs and buy a lot of material here. It's great having somewhere to go that has a great selection and good service. The process of picking out tile and coming up with a design for my master bath was just too overwhelming. Today, I had to get this done, the contractor was coming to install in 3 days. Not real happy shopper/ consumer with Floor & Decor...Went to store, real nice displays & selection. Actually found some slate flooring at the store with more than enough to do my floor. Decided to order it the next day using their website & pick up at store as I did not have my truck the day I looked at the slate. When you order it online it tells you "do not come to the store to pick up product until you receive E-mail from store saying its ready" Ok two days go by and no email.. I call customer service with order number, they say the store does not have all the slate to fill my order... and are getting the rest from another store.. The next day my card is charged the full amount... still no email... called customer service... is my order ready?? No its still short but I can come pick up "Partial order" At this point I asked why would you charge me for a product/order you have not delivered, refund my card & cancel my order.. 4 days later my card is still not refunded. Will be making another call today. You guys better get this fixed. read more

During several visits to Floor and Decor in Plano, I've experienced very professional & courteous employees there, however I want to single out the Plano store's knowledgeable sales specialist Andres, his professionalism, patience in assisting me with much needed explanations to questions I had regarding various tile trims, their purpose and which connections were needed to join certain trims was very helpful. He so graciously glossed over my constantly mispronouncing bullnose with bulletnose trim, treating me with respect and dignity. I deeply appreciated his sharing information with us that helped us make an informed decision on linear trim as well as bullnose trim, as a result we were able to with confidence purchase everything during that same visit. She gave us many advices and she was more than patient with us. She even thought of things that skipped us. She was a great help. This was our first time at the Floor and Decor and she made it a pleasure to shop there. We were also helped at register by a young lady named Nalina, who was very careful making sure that our order was complete before we paid by calling around to other locations to secure our items for us.
