The bamboo flooring that I purchase from this store has shrunk causing it to to have gaps in multiple area . It is not the installation problem because I followed all the procedure and I been installing hardwood floors for living. I tried to dispute the problem with them but they require me to hire an inspector that is only recommended by them and I have to pay them from my own pocket . I decided to forget about the claim since I already know what will happen next. This people will not protect their costumers , instead they protect their suppliers. So before you buy flooring material from this store , make sure to ask them first about the warranty on what is the procedure if anything goes wrong because I'm pretty sure they gonna look at the box and say it's 30 yrs or 50 yrs warranty and they will not tell you exactly how can you claim or dispute if there is a problem with the material. read more

I will say they have a great selection of whatever you are looking for. However, when the name of your store is FLOOR & decor yet you make it absolutely impossible to purchase a small sample of a piece of flooring you may buy thousands of dollars worth of its a HARD PASS for me!!! Here are the 2 options I was given during my visit... 1. I could purchase a whole plank for $5 then return it. 2. There are samples for a cheaper amount BUT, they are NOWHERE near where the flooring is, then you have to rummage around for the sample you are looking for, which they may or may not have!!! You're better off heading to Home Depot or Lowe's. They have sample for you & are organized!!! read more

We had a great experience working with design consultant Maria. We are doing a whole house remodeling following a fire, so have a lot of tile to pick out. We had done a bit of homework before coming in and had a number of tiles selected. Maria really helped us narrow our choices, methodically work through each bathroom. She had a great eye and very straight forward design advice. She also helped us adapt our choices as we identified new options. Altogether, she spent almost 2 hours with us and we were able to select tile (walls, shower surround, shower floor and inserts) for all four bathrooms. The price point for the tile was also very cost competitive. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

Beware!!! We were looking to get tile for our kitchen at the Gaithersburg, MD store. We were told since the that store does not wish to carry the tile we picked out (from their website), we (as the customer) would have to pay $100+ to have another store ship it to the Gaithersburg store. Then on top of that we would still have to pick up the tile at the Gaithersburg store. Or the other option they gave us was to drive to another store so we didn't have to pay their shipping fee. Will NEVER shop here or recommend this "company" to anyone. What a disappointment. read more

My initial experience started out fine. The manager Ben wrote up a purchase for me of several matching tiles including a backorder of one item. He found them at another store and said it would take 3-5 days to get in. This was important because it was a discontinued item and i wasn't going to even use it unless i could get all the matching pieces. That was 10 days ago. What happened in the meanwhile was a trail of mixed messages and sloppiness with no end in sight. And again, it is a discontinued item so every day that passes increases the chance i'll never get the tile at all. And no one picks up the phone at the G'burg store and if they do, they put you on death hold. I even drove to the store and was given all the right answers. Just enough to satisfy me and get me out the door it seems. Still, no tile. No one can return my calls because no one will pick up the phone so i can leave a message. I also tried the 877 corporate number. Same issue. Put on hold so long i think i had a birthday come and go. But i also need to make one thing clear - I do not fault the employees that i have dealt with in any way. The manager who initially took my order was great and a total pro, and the girl who i met at the store the second time tried tirelessly to get some kind of resolution for me and was just as frustrated as i was. It appears to be a systemic problem with this chain based on other reviews. I think the training of these employees is lacking. There 2-3 very competent folks but the rest, although they try, just aren't well versed in tile or how the store works. Here is a tip - unless they have the product you want on the floor right in front of you...don't bother. Do not order anything for pick up later. Do not back order anything. Do not order anything 'sight unseen' or over the phone or internet. Be sure you can lay eyes on what you are purchasing. Maybe try The Tile Shop in Rockville. They are more expensive but the customer service is excellent. One last thing. Make note of some very odd reviews here. They are either 5 star or very negative. And the positive reviews read like store promotions for Great Product Selection ! and Fantastic Customer Service ! and All Your Tile and Flooring Needs ! Like i said, very odd. Ordered over $2k worth of water proof laminate, around a month ago 9/2/18. Was told at purchase that it would be 3 weeks for delivery. That's longer than most but ok, it is what it is. The agent said MOST times its faster. Called 3-4 times leading up to the date and the agent said it wasn't in yet.(When someone actually answers the phone) Finally, I called the day after it was supposed to be there and was told that it was back ordered until October 30th. Really?!?! Your telling me this now? The 3-4 times I called you couldn't have told me that? Very disappointed in the customer service and their inability to inform me that my delivery was going to be 30 days longer! read more

There were only two good things about this store and one of them is that there is a bakery right outside their door where we went to console ourselves after four employees refused to help us. The other good thing was we finally, on our own, with no help from staff, found a manager who is a little bit knowledgeable about what we needed. Unfortunately that manager was overwhelmed and referred us back to one of the floor staff who had absolutely no interest in helping us and no knowledge of the product. If you already know exactly what you need and have no question, then this looks like a reasonable place to go and pick up materials. If you'd like any guidance whatsoever to include who else can I talk to who might know the answer, I would leave this store off my list. As each employee said they did not know the answer to our questions, they would point in a direction and say ask that person when there was no person there. They'd even walk over with me and say, I don't know, he was here a few minutes ago. Very frustrating especially since we drove 40 minutes to get to the store when recommended by our installer. :-( read more

I was totally panicked, the floor that I had picked for my kitchen renovation looked great when I bought it from Home Depot but on the floor, not so much. Of course I only had a couple of days before scheduled installation so I was a little panicked. Walked into Floor and Decor and was greeted by friendly and attentive Kandiely who listened to my tale of woe and promptly ran around the store to find the designer on duty, Tara . Tara ,the design wunderkind also listened to my tale of woe and directly walked with me to the best flooring for my needs. First floor she showed me was perfect and I purchased it. BTW way less expensive than previous flooring. Greg was very helpful in the coordination of the pickup of flooring . It was a pleasure shopping in this store . We are in the process of remodeling our recently purchased home and found this place on a generic google search and I'm so glad we did. We had been looking at the two major chain home improvement stores and were frustrated at the limited selection and higher than average prices. Bottom line here is we were able to save over $400 just in our backsplash project. We will certainly return when we start our two bathroom projects. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered 20+ boxes of hardwood flooring, but they gave me one wrong box of wood. My contractor realized after he opened the box. In attempt to return what was a mistake that started on their end, the cashier said she could only issue store credit due to policy--because the box was opened. I understand they do not take back opened boxes of hardwood, and I would never return opened boxes of items I purchased, but this wasn't what I ordered. They gave me the wrong item, so is it not reasonable for me to ask for a refund? Thence, I asked to speak with a manager (I believe his name was Rudy). When he finally decided to show up, he proceeded to call me "rude and nasty" following up with a very sarcastic "I'm not issuing you a refund for your 'stunning' personality." All I did was explain the situation and politely ask if they could refund me. Is this how Floor and Decor treats their customers? I'm throughly disappointed. Had I known this was how they did business, I would've ordered my flooring elsewhere. read more

They say they beat Home Depot but that's a lie. They price match Home Depot on Tile and Flooring. Pricing is better at Home Depot if you buy in quantity or use Home depots bid room. Customer service is better at Home Depot. They do have a bigger selection here. read more

I'm a contractor, buy a lot stuff from them, they have all my info in their profile, the pro desk close at 5:00, when I try to buy something after this hour and try to use my account to do the payment, I can't because nobody can help me to do that. So I don't understand why they have a manager if he can't help you. You going to lost a lot of business because the people working in your stores. Don't go there unless you are a bottom feeder when it comes to your bathroom. We had an appointment on a Saturday morning. Upon meeting with the designer, I'm not naming her because I don't want her to get reprimanded by management. After 3 hours of exhausting picking through they stuff, we finally met up with the designer again. We showed her what we picked out, she said she will contact us in about an hour to give us a quote for the material. After 4 weeks of no response from her, I called and the operator told me that they don't give quotes. I m now so confused. WTF is that guy smoking??? read more

In my opinion there's no need to shop anywhere else for any floor or bath projects I found everything I had on my list and many things that weren't. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I am currently in the very beginning stages of remodeling my bathroom and only had a general idea of what I wanted in terms of design and high-level measurements. Maria Sanchez, the Designer at this store, was AMAZING. Not only did she go out of her way to help me with picking the right design, when I asked her for cheaper options to make sure things remained in my budget, but she was also more than happy to give me recommendations, watch-outs, and great alternatives. She also helped measure out what I needed, wrote me a quote, was patient as I looked up what I thought I needed, and explained things to me in a way where any beginner could feel comfortable asking newbie questions. Her customer service phenomenal, she's incredibly personable, kind, patient, and offers suggestions while really trying to understand where the customer is coming from. Thank you Maria for making this one of the best experiences I've had picking out and designing my bathroom. You just made this project more fun for me. read more

The personnel at the store appear to have very little interest in helping customers and the ones I have talked to appear to have little knowledge of the products. The laminate we have installed is showing scratches after being down 5 weeks. Online customer service suggested we try on of their products. The product is somewhat difficult to apply and does not help with the scratches. The laminate product is not fit for its intended use. read more

Also, it took way longer than needed to pick up our online order. She kept asking what we needed multiple times when my husband already gave her the print out of our order.
