We have previously been a customer of the store and had a better experience. This trip - a year…read moreand a half later or so -- we dealt with the same folks but didn't end up buying anything. Why? Because instead of making things easy the owners seemed disinterested in picking up the phone and finding out when delivery is possible. I'm not sure the company is really interested in the homeowner overseeing their own project. They seem interested in working with plumbers which is how we worked with them last time. By the way we went on line after we left the store and can get the same high end bathroom fixtures from Amazon in 3 to 5 days. We also went down the street on Gude across from the Habitat for Humanity Restore Store and found another store that gave us a very different experience. We were received warmly, provided a great deal of information and insights and will be seeking their assistance going forward with our bathroom renovation.

They were happy to let me take "loaner tiles" so that I could see them in the setting I was going to have them installed and match up cabinets and fabrics etc., for the final design. We wound up redoing our kitchen, master bathroom and dressing room with their product and I have to say that the whole experience was seamless. We had had an unexpected glitch in the design plan that wasn't evident until we started demo and realized that one of the tiles we picked for the bathroom would not work. We anticipated this being a real problem as we had already ordered all the tile. However, we spoke with the staff at Mosaic and they stated they could switch out the tile with "no problems" (as it turned out, we switched to a cheaper tile, but they never made a big deal out of this either). Caveat alert: they did tell us that the only reason they could do this was because all of the tile we had picked was "in stock", not special order, so it would be unreasonable to expect that they could do this in every instance. Our contractor actually picked up the tile, but I was impressed that all the tile was in good condition. We've done large projects before and have always had a bunch of broken/chipped tile that we then have to argue about getting returned, but this was one of the best tile experiences we have had. They are not the cheapest, but they were actually a lot cheaper than at another store we initially made our selection from. Our contractor suggested we check this place out because he was appalled at the price of the other tile we picked and promised us we would find something we liked just as much at Mosaic - he was right!

I was referred to this place by the son of a friend who had assistance from Daniel when he did a complete kitchen remodel. Unfortunately Daniel ran away from me as I entered the showroom (I knew who he was based on his photo on their website.) I wanted a place that wasn't as precious as some of the Bethesda showrooms are, but this place isn't it. Just go online instead of bothering to drive out to Rockville. You'll get much more information that way, that's for sure. Makes you wonder how they stay in business.

We had decided on some of the appliances we wanted to buy (Wolf induction range and steam oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator) and visited the ADA showplace in Gaithersburg on several occasions to decide on sizes and other appliances we needed. We ended up buying all of our kitchen appliances at ADU; this turned out to be efficient and a lifesaver when we had a size issue with the microwave drawer and needed to switch it out for a different model that fit better in the island cabinet. ADU carries a wide selection of quality appliance options and offers some discounting as well. I could not have imagined getting 7 appliances at 7 different places, managing those deliveries and schedules, and so on. We ended up working primarily with Kyle Gladden over the seven-month process from planning to complete installation. He showed us various appliance options, answered questions, and worked through many details over the months. Going with ADU was the best approach for us as Kyle knew the big picture of what we were trying to accomplish and when, and it simplified deliveries, asking questions, and making changes. Kyle is pleasant, professional, responsive and very easy to work and communicate with. When you are undertaking such a big project you need to work with pleasant people who can help you get the job done! It's a necessity! On occasions when Kyle was out, we could easily reach someone else who could help us in the office. Everyone we encountered in the office and the phone was pleasant, knowledgeable, not pushy, and responsive. We're happy to recommend ADU (and Kyle) for new appliances.

The first employee talked to me like I was an idiot when he directed me stating "go over there and stand and when he says "next" tell them you need help" So fine, I did as I was told and was met by the plumbing grinch #2 who simply STARED at me until I finally folded and told him I needed help. It was the most awkward, uncomfortable exchange ever. Once I explained what I needed he asked me for the brand which I didn't know off the top of my head. He clearly didn't like this because I told they sell no universal parts and I should go Somewhere else to find my part. I was able to contact a family member who looked and gave me what I needed and proceeded back in to face the horrible staff. Once again I was greeted with straight up animosity. I told him what I needed and was immediately told "we don't have it, there's another store nearby" Well I did go to that store nearby who greeted me, helped me find what I needed, and didn't make me feel like I was a horrible person for simply walking into the store. I appreciate their referral to a friendly, more customer service oriented environment. I will NEVER set foot into Ferguson again. What a dreadful experience.

My friend and camein here today because I had recently purchased a home in the are and the kitchen cabinets absolutely needed to be painted. I knew that Benjamin Moore paints are of superior quality, so this store was the first place that came to mind. The friendly employee was able to give me some guidance in terms of the types of materials that I would need for the job. In addition to the paint. I purchased some masking tape, plastic sheathing, a lambskin roller cover, and a new upgraded paint brush. In terms of the paint type, he recommended the Benjamin Moore Advance paint for the cabinets. He told me that most customers preferred the satin type of finish for cabinets, and the great part was that the paint could be tinted to the specific grey color that I like. Now that I have the paint and supplies that are needed, the fun part begins!

Eddie and his team at FloorMax have transformed our house!…read more We first used FloorMax back in 2019 to put some LVP in a room we remodeled and it has looked great ever since. Over the past month and a half, we replaced the majority of the floors in the rest of our house. Here's how they transformed the house: Upstairs they removed the old carpet, treated the squeaky floors and installed beautiful 3 ¼" hardwood floors in the hallway, master bedroom and 3 other bedrooms. On the first floor, they removed the old tile in our kitchen and powder room and installed 2 ¼" hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, dining room, entry, office and powder room. In the basement, they installed new carpet after a pipe leak caused some damage. With a project this large, In addition to the floors, Eddie was able to coordinate additional work. Since we were putting in a new floor in the powder room, Eddie was able to arrange for a plumber (Juan) to come in. He removed the old vanity and toilet, moved the pipes to fit the new vanity and toilet and then installed our new vanity, faucet and toilet. Water damage in the basement caused part of our drywall to be removed. So Eddie brought in Manny and his team to repair the walls and repaint the entire basement. We had an unattractive old metal railing running the length of our upstairs hallway. Since they had to remove it for the floor work, ,they installed a new wooden railing and it looks great. Last but not least, we also had a pretty tight deadline to get the work done by the end of August in preparation for a lot of family and friends coming in for a wedding. Eddie and the team were very focused on meeting our timeline and were able to deliver a beautiful result on time! I would highly recommend Eddie and his team for your next flooring project.
