After going to Floor & Decor many times for flooring and bathroom remodels I decided to use them to install granite for a fireplace. They said they had a company they work with and they would set everything up for me. Chivino Surfaces is who they contracted with and they came out and took measurements. When the install crew came to install they scrapped up 2 walls, bent back the trim of the fireplace opening and chipped out 4 tiles. When I called both Chivino and Floor and Decor I was told they weren't responsible and would do nothing to fix it. They said I had signed a report saying "Customer aware that some stone may need to be removed to complete installation. Chivino not responsible for replacing or reinstalling stone." What I signed didn't have that written on it and when they sent me the copy, which I was never given a copy of , my signature was above what was written as there disclaimer and was not on the paper when I signed it. I thought for sure Floor & Decor would stand behind there recommendation to me and make it right but they didn't. I had a 3rd party tile and stone contractor come look at it and he said that the damage done to the trim and tile didn't need to and should have never happened. I will now have to pay him to fix their sloppy work that they won't stand behind. I will never use Floor & Decor or Chivino Surfaces for any of my projects again. A waste of time and effort. If you choose to shop here, you need to do your homework first. I was searching for a very specific piece of tile transition. Another retailer didn't have it, suggested Floor & Decor, as they carry a larger selection of Schluter than other stores. Since I had the manufacturer item number, I called to check stock. The person who answered didn't know what I was looking for, and proceeded to transfer me to someone claiming to be a manager. He assured me that not only was my transition profile in stock, but that I'd have my choice of colors and finishes. I braved Friday afternoon traffic to head to the store. The one thing the dude got right was directions to the transition rack in the store. Problem was, my profile is not an in-stock profile. 14-day special order. What kind of craptacular service is it to "look up" a product number and outright lie about it being in stock? And they wonder why Amazon is stealing their business. read more

We had a great experience at Floor and Decor. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We had gone in to buy additional tile for our home, but the tile wasn't available anymore in Arizona. The closest location that had our particular tile was in Nashville, Tennessee. Cody, one of the associates at Floor and Decor, helped us order the tile. He found a carrier that charged a very reasonable price. It could have been very costly, but Cody researched different carriers until he found the lowest price available. This store was recommended to me by the installer who was going to put the tile down in my house due to their low prices. They do have competitive prices, as my installer said, and they have a wide selection of tiles to choose from. However, what they lack is knowledgeable and industrious sales people. I walked into the store knowing exactly which tile I wanted and how much I needed to buy and it still took me over two hours to make the purchase. It was painful watching my salesman struggle to figure out how many boxes/pallets I needed and to answer basic questions about calculating overages for various basic install patterns, how much grout to buy, shipping/delivery etc. At one point I was asked if I would be transporting the 6,000 lbs of tile in my truck. Getting through the checkout line was equally painful and slow. So, based on price and selection alone I recommend this store. But, I also recommend that you plan plenty of time for your purchase and get all of your questions answered by a qualified professional prior to your visit. read more

I just finished a whole house flooring project and have been to Floor and Décor in Glendale at least 10 times in the last two months. The costumer service is horrible and if they weren't the only ones with the flooring I wanted I would not have brought from them. Their prices are not any better then Lowes or Home Depot, but they do have some products the others do not. Make sure if your buying something you get all the same lot numbers because they vary greatly in size, color is fine. The grout we bought also was nowhere near the color on the chart they gave us, so beware and test it before you do half a room! read more

The worst ever customer service. To purchase they made me fill in a form and took a hard copy of the credit card. Well guess what when I called to re-order they couldn't find my details. It took me holding on for 1 hour for them to tell me this. They promised to call back within 15 min. 2 hours later I called and went through the same lame service. I would not buy anything ever again from them - the only problem they are the only ones with the specific tile I need . Floor and Decor are the worst ever. You wonder if their owners / managers ever read this stuff. read more

I love Floor and Decor I especially love the selection and quality of their products! I had an opportunity to work with one of the design specialist and she was fantastic! We were assisted to pick out a theme for our kitchen that married our taste with our budget, she spent time helping us to select materials and provided valuable insight (Camelback store location); however she is relocating to another State but I'm sure glad she was able to help us. On another note the customer service is mediocre at best since you practically have to hunt someone down; however, try phoning in to ask a question and the customer service goes from bad to "awful"! It is as if you are bothering them...twice I phoned the Camelback store to ask if they had a particular product in stock which they didn't; however, when I asked if they could check to see if any other stores carried that product I think they put me on hold and then came back and said "no"...because twice when I called the nearby stores to inquire...what do you know??? They had the product! The second time they had the nerve to tell me they didn't have it in the Camelback store but they could have it shipped from California or Oregon and I would have to pay the shipping charge and pay full price (earlier I was able to purchase at a discounted price because it was on clearance). However, when I hung up with Carolina at the Camelback store and called the Glendale store...yes, Glendale Arizona...they had exactly what I needed at "the clearance price"...imagine that! Great store but I would strongly encourage management to hire people who actually care to "assist" when they answer the phone and be ready to provide at least decent customer service. read more

Floor and Décor is one of the worst home improvement stores we have ever encountered. We spent quite a bit of time picking out lamenent flooring for our bedrooms. The sales person was helpful and gave us fairly good information on the process. We asked him about installation and they use a service that ties customers with contractors. The contractor came out measured the areas gave us a price along with how much materials we would need. We felt pretty much at ease with the process. We bought the materials from Floor and Décor, contractor picked it up we had it installed. Contractor did a great job. After a week my wife noticed a bubble on one of the flooring planks, so we called to complain. The person we spoke to gave us a huge run around and told us that it was the responsibility of the contractor, not the manufacturer, nor Floor and Decor. Initially they had no warranty or responsibilty regarding defects and the only fix was to cut out the board thus negatating the floating floor concept. An idiot named Mike finally called us after we went in an tried to resolve this with customer service. He was belligerent, anti-customer satisfaction and surely did not know what he was talking about. I spent a half hour on the phone listening to someone basically telling me he didn't care. If Mike was the best that Floor and Décor can offer as a mediator on problems,then they are used to selling crap and they don't care. By the way the contractor reimbursed us for our troubles. Kudos to them. As far as Floor and Décor is concerned I would rather put down card board on our floors than buy another thing from them. read more

I noticed several unhappy customer service reviews....and my first thought is a lot of customers may be drawn in by reasonable prices, huge selection, but the customer may not know what they want or need and therefore are expecting someone to do it for them. I have interactions with Ms Cassie twice, and both were courteous and prompt. I give a lot of plus marks for the young man (I'm 65) who helped me load ten boxes of tile into the back of my car. The "will call" pick up area was also prompt and helpful as they loaded the other 19 cases of tile into my trailer...even banded it together. I see a lot of interior designers and tile pros in their picking up product. This is my second major DIY job with them. Now in all fairness, I've done construction for more than 38 years. So, it may be that customers picking out tiles need to take someone along to help them that does this sort of work for a living. Oh, and my tiles say they are made in Texas. Tiles come from all over...a lot from Mexico, some from Italy....maybe the laminates are made cheaper in China. I still give them high points for being helpful. read more
