I just purchased a home and I came into this store to get some quotes on material needed for new flooring. The entire staff was extremely friendly and I was immediately approached and asked if I needed any help. This provided me the comfort of knowing I wasn't alone in this new shopping experience. When I came later to pick up the tile a young gentleman by the name of Jeffrey assisted me in loading the material on to the truck. He was very kind and helpful, he even asked me about what I was planning to do to the new house and gave great recommendations on the translation flooring which never crossed my mind. My husband and I just purchased a new house and had to replace the carpet. We walked into the Floor & Decor store on Westheimer and Hwy 6 and were immediately greeted and offered assistance. We kindly declined and proceeded to look around. Their pricing on the material was pretty affordable and their selection was vast!! If we were not on a mission, this would have taken days to narrow down what we wanted because we loved most everything they had! The sample displays were a huge help! Upon making our selection, we waved over at a sales rep and he immediately went into action... he pulled all of our material and walked us over to checkout. There was no waiting in line! My husband pulled our truck up as we were escorted out with our purchase... Shout out to Thomas, Bisi, Victor & David... our entourage that loaded us up and helped us with this awesome experience!! I'm surprised at the low rating but maybe I'm Lucky and had always received courteous service here. Cesar was the one that helped me and he was very nice and helpful in assisting me with my tile Selection. I would say that the 1800 customer service needs some improvements since I prepaid for tile over the phone for my contractor to pick up and 3 hours later, still no order on file at the store... Really frustrating but in the end, I was able to Cancel the order and my contractor had to pay for it at the location and picked up the tile. read more

When we went into the store the design consultant was actually really helpful. We were told that we could pay for our items and come back within two weeks to pick it up since we didn't have a way to take it home. When we returned over a week later they did not have our order complete. They told me to call back in 3 days and check on my order. When I called back today (3 days later) they put me on hold for almost 30 minutes and just passed me from person to person. NOT HELPFUL. When I finally did reach a manager I was on hold again for another 15 minutes. They are all lazy and just want to pass the buck to someone else so they don't have to deal with the customer. I would expect better customer service since we spent over $1200 with them. I will NOT be going back there. I would rather pay more at another store and have better customer service. My complaint is not with the store locations or product but customer service. I purchased tile in 4/5/23 but found something better at a different store. I cancelled the item in the morning of 4/6 in which I received an email cancellation confirmation with a receipt ensuring refund will be issued 3-10 business days. It has now been 18 days, 12 business days. I've sent several emails and made several phone calls to discover there was an issue because the original agent never aent the refund request to the sales/refund team. Then I was told that the refund was being sent via PayPal which I used my card. I advised that PayPal was not my method of payment and was told "you're correct, your payment was not PayPal and a request to refund your card has been sent". I called again only to hear that my request has already been sent and it takes 24 hours to get a response. I called again and was informed that the process is not an overnight one and to give it time. I called again and received an apology about the unresolved issue and the sales/refund team was closed and wouldn't reopen til M ...today and still no refund. Called today and was told that the email was sent to the team one hour ago and they should be reaching out soon. This is UNACCEPTABLE and poor customer service especially for a company of its caliber. read more

Jeffrey was a savior, letting us know what supplies we needed to get for the type of tile we were buying when we were thinking we needed something completely different. I went into this store and the employees all gave my mother and I a dirty look like if we didn't belong in this store. So just entering the store it was already starting off bad. As we walked around the store employees still looked at us not asking if we needed anything or any help (WE DID NEED HELP). And then when we did ask for help the employee acted like he didn't speak English and he was mumbling. We continued walking around the hot store and yes I say hot because it felt like there was no air conditioning. Been sitting in the warehouse for the last 20 minutes - trying to pick up an order that I paid for at another store. I was told someone would be with me in5 minutes, yet here I am - 20 minutes later and still no one! Employees keep passing me by and no one is trying to help me! It's as though no one wants to work. I went there with my husband on a Wednesday night , not busy at all . All the workers were conversing amongst themselves. We walked in not one single worker acknowledged us. We were completely ignored. We started walking the isles looking for floor samples and we couldn't find what we were looking for. We walk pass by 3 workers that were just chatting with each other and we asked them if they can help us find a floor color since we had the sample tile with us and without thinking twice he was like "oh we don't have it ". So I asked him do you have something similar and he just answered very rushed "if we do , they are in those 2 isles" . I was so annoyed at the lack of help and I just left and took my business to home de Update!!! The very next day I received a call from Mark one of the managers at eve store , he apologized on the customer service we received and ask us to please come back so they can make it right . Went back on a Sunday and met with mark he helped us choose the tile we needed and helped us pick the grout for it . He helped us load everything and explained what they are doing to help prevent bad customer service experience. He literally made me and my husband feel like royalty . He earned back our business and we are customers for life ! We are first time home owners and have a lot a projects coming up and because of Mark awesome job we will keep coming back ! read more

The selection is good, the prices are good, the staff friendly, but I am going to have to give this place 1 star. For two reasons: I bought a bunch of mosaic tile for a walk in shower renovation and the store employees who loaded it up, mixed in two boxes of lighter shade which was undetectable until after the install. And when I went back to tell the manager, he washed his hands of it by telling me it was an install error. Ok, lesson learned. But it would not have been an install error if not for the delivery error, which is squarely on the floor and decor employees. I was able to get that corrected but still, we should not have gotten the wrong tile in the first place. 2) This is the bigger problem: In our ignorance, and desire to save money, we were dumb enough to buy some bamboo flooring that was discounted because of a factory defect. But we were told repeatedly by Floor & Decor employees that "just glue it down and it will be no problem" So I believed them. And well 1 year later this floor is a problem, we're having buckling issues. And I have seen that exact same bamboo floor in another open house that was for sale, and it was buckling so bad it was terrible. And I hired a floor person to come out and see if they could correct it, and once they walked in he said "Oh this is the 4th house I have seen with these exact floors, and they all have problems." Obviously I wasn't the only fool to buy this defective bamboo flooring on discount. Now this was a bad expensive decision on my part. And there's no recourse because at time of purchase the Floor & Decor cashier had me sign a waiver. My problem is Floor & Decor should not be selling a defective product to the general public and having their employees mislead you to think, "all you got to do is glue it down and it will be fine." Because it's not fine. This is going to cost me thousands of dollars to correct. And that's bad business. And I will never shop there again. And my wife and I buy homes to renovate and rent out or flip. We would spend $5000 to $10,000 per home on flooring and tile, and we used to buy it all at Floor & Decor, but now there is no way in hell I will purchase from them again. Buyer Beware. read more

I'm trying to renovate my home in Houston while I'm living in a different state. My mother is helping with logistics in Houston but I'm making all the decisions and purchases. I found the flooring that I would like to use while at my local store in California. I tried to make the purchase online but I ran into a few issues through the web. I called both the store and the online help number but wasn't able to place my order that way because the online system didn't show the product I needed (matching quarter round) was in stock. I tried a few other products and I ran into the same issue. My mother went in to the store to see if she could find another flooring option that would work that also had all of the trim we needed in Houston. Here is where Cesar came to our rescue. Not only was he able to confirm the floors that I needed were available, he also pieced together enough of the trim pieces in the correct color from stores all over Houston. He gave my mother his full attention and dove head first into tackling our problem. It wasn't easy and it took him quite a while, but he was able to get everything into the computer system and give me a print out of exactly what I needed to order. At that point, I had to go to my local store, give the manager there the product SKUs and amounts and she was able to ring me up to place my purchase locally. (Cesar called her before I went to make sure she understood exactly what our purchase entailed.) Without Cesar's patience and going above the typical scope of his duties, I never would have been able to make my purchase. It is hard to find customer service like that very often anymore. Very upset about my first visit here. We arrived around 8:30 and we were pointed in a general direction of what we were looking for instead of being helped and when finally someone helped us we finally got everything we needed but unfortunately it was 9:30 when we got to the register and were told we'd have to wait another 20 minutes because all the registers were closed and they didn't know there were customers still in the store. What is worse is that there were 2 others at the registers that could have easily opened back up to check us out but instead walked off as soon as they saw us approach. Looking for a piece of granite for our bathroom. After using their virtual 360 we called floor decor. The customer service was unbelievable Kian was phenomenal and very helpful on the phone. He went out of his way to look for a color that I was looking for snd Offered a SKU number. This was certainly not the closest Floor Decor to my house but we went there because the service that Kian gave over the phone. When we got to Floor Decor he was even more helpful in person than he was on the phone. He gets an A-Plus in our book. Today I had a very good experience from Roger in the Stone Department. I was interested in buying some Saltillo tile and the stacks of tile came in various variations of shade. They were heavy. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been patient and understanding but this particular store is just ridiculous. I have been a content customer for years but lately the quality level has deceased to excessively LONG wait lines, and even if you have an order to pick up it is still somehow a hassle. When entering majority of the employees always seem too busy to assist you. When speaking to a manager the issue is still half resolved because I'm still left with a bad experience the next time I come in .Needs better managing and more staff. This is an absolute scam company. They never honor their advertised sale prices. When you go to the store to purchase an item that they have advertised online, they always say that they are out of that item because it was limited quantity, even on the first day of the sale advertisement. When you try to order the sale items online, they say those items are not available in the Houston area stores for store pick up and must be shipped directly to you with outragous shipping fees. Not only that, but they charge your credit card for the purchase first, then send you the E-mail that you have tp pay much more for shipping. My house was flooded as a result of the reservoir releases following Hurricane Harvey. I came to Floor and Décor to view tile for 2 bathrooms, a utility room and a front porch. I walked the store a couple of different days to become familiar with the products. I found of full range of helpfulness and expertise among the sales staff. Some were very helpful, a couple were useless. The amount of tile is enormous and prices are very reasonable. I then made an appointment with a design consultant... this is a free service offered by the store. I was setup with Izabela Winek. She was fantastic. She was most helpful in coordinating tile with the wall and trim paints and countertops. I walked out of the store with samples (purchased) to place in the house and view under different lighting. I feel very confident that I will be purchasing all the tile selected. read more
