I purchased my floor in June, 2021. Service was OK and pricing seemed good. I had no issues at first. I purchased Optimax Bowen Greige vinyl laminate flooring for my entire house. (1800 sq ft). It is a dull finish, with a slight groove in the flooring. It looks very "beachy/rustic" and I loved it. My problem started in May of 2023. I started noticing that the grooves in walkway areas and in front of the couch seemed to be getting smoother. Also a shininess was being noticed in the walkways of my home. I am the only resident of my home, no pets or kids. This was very distressing. I called Floor & Decor and was told I needed to hire an independent flooring inspector to come out and evaluate. I was given a list of possible choices. I was also told it would cost between $200 and $450 for them to come out. I called two inspectors and only heard back from one. Questinspect quoted me $450 (which I paid) and set a date for inspector to come out. He spent quite a bit of time checking and taking pictures and comparing these areas to excess flooring not used. After months of waiting for results, he called and had to come out again to do more testing. He took one area of the floor and seemed to scrub it with some solution and it looked like some color was in the solution as there were some drips off to the side after it all dried. The final result of this testing was that I put wax on these walkways and that the dull finish was achieved once it was cleaned. Actually the area he "cleaned" is different than the rest of my house! This is ubsurd and I told them that there was never any wax put on this floor. Why would I wax a dull floor (my preference in buying dull flooring) and why would anyone wax walkways!!! I was nelver believed and so without them saying it outload, I was called a liar. I feel this inspector has an understanding with Floor & Decor to ensure that no inspection ever goes against the flooring company and therefore no liability. I am 75 years old and I was willing to spend $450 to have this issue resolved. Do you really feel that I would spend that kind of money if I waxed the areas in question. Also, how does that explain the smoothing out of the grooves?? I do not feel this floor should have worn as quickly as it did. The shine is due to the top coat wearing away, as with the grooves. This was not the most expensive floor, but neither was it the cheapest. Buyer beware! read more

I spent 4 days trying to call the Murietta store to get an appointment with the designer. It would ring several times then hang up. Finally I got a recording to choose an option. I pressed 3 for designer. Guess what? It rang 5 times and hung up on me. 2 weeks later I went to the Moreno Valley store as I was driving through on my way home. I asked for the designer and was told "No appointment, ya gotta call first". I asked if a designer was available and I was told "I just told y, you don't have an appointment, you have to call first". It wasn't WHAT was said, it was HOW it was said. CLEARLY if Home & Decore can't answer their phones and staff is rude I'm not giving my business to them. I found a great local "mom and pop store". Should have gone there to begin with. They've been in business 35 years and I can understand why. read more

My wife and I are to doing a remodel. we have $20,000 tile budget and we walked around the store for 45 minutes and couldn't find anyone to help us. The employees would walk past and not say a word. So we found stuff we like but decided to go elsewhere because we had no idea if it was in stock or how how long it would take to get. I purchase thousands of dollars of items for my remodel project and needed to return some extra is I didn't want to make the long drive twice.. Purchased on my American Express card but they refused or said it was impossible to look it up and then suggested that maybe I bought it somewhere else even though it had their tags and their skews on it needless to say after terrific argument with the manager tukwila store they were looking they gave me a store credit.. in talking with others what I immediately Learned was many times when you get damaged goods in shipment they don't take responsibility but instead direct you back to the shipper crazy in this day and age I don't know how they stay in business read more

Very bad service,first of all untrained properly and careless. We are contractors and purchased large order and were promised as soon as we paid our boxes will be wrapped and reserved,lo and behold on our pick up they were loading it and my husband noticed it was small amount and asked loading person is there another pack and he said : o you are 17 boxes short ??? And my husband said - when were you gonna tell me that, reply was I can unload it if you don't like. ,very rude uneducated person ,to make long story short we had to drive to Ontario to pick up rest in order to finish job. Terrible customer service. I went in store to place and order and each item online was supposedly out of stock according to the employees. Walking around the store I see my items are right there. Ended up not being enough so we went with another option online. Place an order for flooring online and I'm trying to get a hold of the store to double check my items are actually there but the employees just put me on hold for an hour and just hang up all together. As an Interior Designer I run multiple jobs at a time and Dean is consistently there for me in getting my orders organized, placed, and shipped. He communicates with me and my clients regularly and goes over and above to ensure my jobs run smoothly. Dean is one of the main reasons I use Floor and Decor regularly. I know I will always be taken care of when he is involved. He manages 3, 4, 5 plus jobs for me at a time and it is no small feat to keep everything as organized as he does. We have been strung along for a couple months now trying to get tiles that we need for our bathroom remodel. Each time we went to the store, we were told a different date that they would be in. After being told three different dates, I called customer service and was on hold for 40 minutes. The representative said I just needed to go to the store to pre order the tiles. I went to the store and attempted to place the order. The sales rep said that I could not order it. When I asked to speak with a manager, they seemed hesitant to have one meet with me. Finally, when I was able to speak with one, he admitted that telephone customer service commonly gives out incorrect information. He gave me a specific date to call when the tiles would be available to pre order. On that date I tried to call the store. The first time, no one ever answered. It rang for a couple of minutes and disconnected. On a second attempt, I spoke to a sales rep who again told me the tiles were not available. When I asked to speak with the same manager from before, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes. After being on hold, the rep told me he was out for lunch and asked if I would like to leave a message. I provided my name and phone number but never received a call. I decided to go back into the store. I asked for the same manager again. Over the radio communication between the rep and the manager, I could hear that the manager did not want to come out to talk to me. He basically told the sales rep there was nothing he could do and wouldn't come out to meet with me. I understand the concept of supply chain issues but the complete lack of customer service is ridiculous. There are obviously flaws in this company's procedures, communication and training. It's not like I was an angry or impolite customer. I definitely did not feel like the customer was a priority for this business. Frankly, if it wasn't for the fact my wife wants a very specific tile, I probably would never go back again. read more

Really unprofessional for a virtual design consultant, named Carol Spears, to not inform you that they will be late for your scheduled appointment due to them still working with a prior client in addition to not sending you any meeting code information to sign on through their app (similar to Zoom). A second consultant tried to reschedule my appointment which is Carol's job to do, but wouldn't make me priority to other appointments and said that the next available appointment for Carol won't be till the next 3 days. So my appointment would be pushed. Another complaint is that the second design consultant knew of my frustration yet due to her inability to reschedule she became frustrated and hung up quickly. The only person nice and understanding was the on-floor employee I talked to. Thank you for trying to help. read more

Over the course of our remodel I literally went to this store 7 or 8 times, between preparation, selecting tiles, not getting enough material, getting the wrong material, too much material, you name it. I must say I am VERY impressed with the level of customer service and expertise that the staff has to offer! During the process I went to both Home depot/lowes and always left feeling frustrated, unassisted, and poorly treated. One cabinet guy in Lowes was so rude to me that I have vowed to never return, LOWES BLOWS. Let's get back to the good part of floor and decor, the selection and pricing is phenomenal! Steve, Joel, David, Ashley, and Ryan all assisted me on more than one occasion and their good service shined every time! I HIGHLY recommend this store for your projects! I went to this location a few times and the store was pretty much empty, yet trying to find an associate to assist me was like trying to talk to the pope. I made eye contact with and waved at a few associates from afar and they immediately looked away and walked off. I walked around for about half an hour and not one employee asked if I needed help. I finally asked a cashier to call someone and after waiting 20 minutes, the associate who met with me was visibly annoyed and was not helpful, telling me that one product was "basically the same thing" as another (they weren't even similar) just so she didn't have to help me any further. I understand that every job has its own set of challenges, but if customer service isn't your thing, do not work in retail. read more

We love shopping at this store. We've purchased from them all of our tiles, bricks, and hardwood floor for our home renovation. We are DIYers and appreciate the vast selection this store provides. I can also appreciate being able to just grab the product you want right away instead of putting in an order and waiting for the product to be available like a lot of other flooring stores do. They have better selection than any other flooring stores nearby. The store is neat and orderly. They have everything on display, making it easier for customers to choose. Friendly and helpful staff who come out of their way to help you with design or install questions. Price is cheaper than other stores. We wanted travertine tiles and another store was charging $8/ sqft. We're glad we visited floor and decor first before pulling the trigger and found the same travertine for half the price. Give this store one store ... and company as a whole. We have had the Luxury Vinyl Plank installed in our home and have had nothing but problems with it. We have tried to get a response for our problem and get not response. Largely are being ignored... very difficult to get hold of local store management or corporate management. Do not buy the Nucore product. It is lifting, denting and curling. Also finish has lost its luster. They will not have a rep come out unless we send pics first. Very aggravating situation. Save your yourself time , aggravation and dollar!!! read more
