I met my parents at this Dunwoody location to assist them with design choices for three bathrooms and their kitchen. The copper pipes recently burst in several places in their home causing enough damage to warrant the start of extensive renovations. Parking on a Saturday was easy and ample. The store is clean and has a huge selection of tiles and decor. The significant number of mockup bathrooms and kitchens provided great inspiration. The staff was masked and sanitizer was available. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. Our assigned designer Twila was great and explained the services and products available. Tiles and decor from inexpensive to high end expensive were available. We look forward to our renovations and recommend this location! read more

Customer service (heck, just acknowledging they even have customers) is nonexistent. I hate to leave this review because my experience with this location five years ago was five star. In 2019 I bought all of the tile for our kitchen remodel here. The designer was so helpful and she even followed up after the sale to say thank you. Fast forward to March 2024 and I find myself wandering the aisles with another woman looking to see if any employees are even there. When I reach the back of the store I find two employees who couldn't be bothered to greet me or ask if I or the other customer needed help. Two customers in the middle of a weekday afternoon ended up walking out. This one drove straight to Floor and Decor where I spent $600. It's a shame they've gone from being a five star store to where they are now. Will never go back and can no longer recommend. read more

I put in order for 6k worth of tile order the designer I worked with promise me to delivery today. He promise to call me and check on order 3 days prior to delivery . No call or message . He missed yo add part of order. I had to drive all the way long to add it. Three days . Later I tried to call and check on the order. They said there is a delay on part of the order by 2 weeks and now my pro has to wait for two weeks to just to put one part of tile. Insane!!. No communication on delays what so ever. First time shopping here and such a bad experience. Their staff doesn't seem to care at all. When you call them everyone gets you different response. Save your time and money . Love this place. I am thinking about replacing my tube with a tiled shower maybe even a entire bathroom remodel. I did not know anything about this business and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had over a dozen shower displays that had been built. I thought I knew what I wanted but found ideas I had not even thought of. The store will also help design your bath or whatever your doing and the have paired up deferent tiles together to show you what compliments each other. read more

These guys used to be great. I've bought tile from them in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and now in Georgia. Something has changed though, the staff used to be really helpful and the stores were nicely equipped with lots of samples. Now there are very few samples available unless you buy a box and wait for delivery, and the staff just don't seem to want to help. I've been doing some remodeling and normally shop at the Tile Shop in Buford but today I was closer to the Dunwoody store and decided I would drop in to see if they had anything different... As I was looking at the tile I was approached by Paul R. .... Paul is simply AMAZING!!!! His knowledge, design skills, energy, demeanor.... EVERYTHING!!! There's not a lot of options for high quality tile in the Atlanta area. I stopped into The Tile Shop in Dunwoody last week and was totally impressed! Not only was I greeted by the manager at the door, but was offered design service and given tons of information by two different associates. I saw the manager working with a new designer, and seeing the trainer she was getting, me and my husband knew that was the guy for us. We worked with him and the newbie for about 45 minutes, ending up building our new bathroom. In the end, we spent exactly what we'd planned. We used financing that was offered, and the manager offered us a price match on a similar product from a competitor. Our experience was truly special and I can't wait to get this bathroom finished so we can go back to work on the kitchen. I just don't see where these other reviews have come from. If it's not the new manager, it's a miracle! No matter what, I'd suggest going in just to see the selection, and ideas they have! You'll be glad you did! read more

A GREAT PLACE TO START! If you are looking to purchase tile for any room in your home, this is a great place to start because they have an extensive amount of products. I especially loved their showroom areas where they have their products functionally displayed so that you can get some great ideas. It wasn't just about the tiles, but we also saw some great fixtures and designs that we would like to incorporate into our own renovation. I was able to take copious amounts of photos which was nice because other, (typically independently owned), do not allow photos. Photos are nice because when you get home you can continue to the conversation, complete additional research and further narrow your preferences. We were able to look at materials for floors, counter-tops and backsplashes. They even have all of the tools and supplies you need if you are looking to complete a project yourself. Stephanie L. was our primary point of contact but we also had several staffers approach us offering assistance. Stephanie was very helpful with guiding us and answering our questions because we are just starting our search and we were truly overwhelmed. We were able to get some general ideas and narrow down the options. When it comes to flooring, there are a great number of items that are displayed on the floor so you will want to take note of these areas as you walk around. The products displayed on the shelves are coded with identifying information so don't forget to take a picture of items of interest. Our experience was fantastic. Paul Riner assisted us and helped us select floor, wall and accent tile for our main bathroom. I am so excited and can't wait to see our bathroom completed. My fiance and I came to this store on Saturday morning because we wanted to take advantage of their free DIY tile workshop. Their website advertises "[t]o help you tackle DIY tiling we offer FREE Do-It-Yourself classes at each of our locations EVERY Saturday at 9:30am. No need to register just stop in and attend the class." We found their store to be clean, orderly, and well-lit with a great selection of tiles and some fantastic displays; however their customer service leaves something to be desired. When we approached their service desk about attending the 9:30 DIY class, we were told that it wasn't going on that morning. We asked for someone to walk us through the process of tiling as we are currently working on one bathroom and have another bathroom and a kitchen to do, and after some hemming and hawing, one associate finally said that he would wait a few minutes to see if anyone else showed up for the DIY class and then give us a demo. We looked around the store for a few minutes, then went to the back Design Center to wait for the instructor as we were told, but no one ever showed up. After about 15 minutes of waiting, we left. We may return to The Tile Shop in the future to look at tile for our projects as they did have a great selection, but we may see if people are more helpful at the Marietta store first. read more

This store is expansive and nicely designed. That's where the good stuff ends. The products are overpriced in comparison to the competition, and the staff is rude. No one was manning the registers, and they did not acknowledge us when they finally got there. They even took phone calls over helping in-person customers or asking for help to cover the waiting people. The staff was generally rude and apathetic about being there. I love the Tile Shop. Mostly because of their tile, but their employees are great too. I am about to renovate my kitchen and bath - go me - so I was in need of some tiles for my kitchen back splash as well as my bathroom floor. While searching for skinny subway tile on-line I found the Tile Shop. They were one of the few places that I could find abnormally skinny subway tile. I'm going for a clean industrial look in the kitchen. At the time they were having a 20% off sale so I called the store and they said if I came in by such and such date they would gladly order it for me there. Too bad I didn't have time to go in. However I did purchase the tile on-line and it was shipped to me a couple of weeks later. The only shitty thing is you had to be home for them to deliver it. They called and scheduled an appointment time with me, a time span of four hours. They delivered it in that time and had me check everything out before I could sign off on the delivery. Only 4 cracked tiles- whew. The next time I needed tile, this time for the bathroom, I checked out the Tile Shop's offerings on-line and found some gorgeous penny tile. I knew that I didn't want to wait around for delivery so I decided to stop in to this location. The Perimeter location is where Home Depots design center used to be. I walked in and headed down the rows. Luckily each row has a heading by what type of tile material it is. Close to the back of the store I found the penny tile. I checked out the one I was leaning towards from on-line and it was perfect. A couple of minutes later a salesman approached me to see if I had been helped (*I think they might all work on commission because they seemed a bit predatory). I told him the size of my bathroom and which tile I wanted. He informed me that I should buy 20% more tile than the square footage so if something happens I won't be slowing down the tilers work. He reassured me that they take back unused sheets. As I was getting ready to check out he asked me a about grout choices. I told him that I had told the contractor, but then he told me that generally you have to buy the grout color since it is a choice like paint. Good call. I picked out a color for the bathroom tile and then picked another for the back splash. Since I was toddling around on a post-surgery foot he had me wait at the front and then toted all my goodies out to the car for me. All in all quick service, beautiful products, and I didn't have to wait around my house for a delivery. Oh and I had an online code for 10% (YHL10) that he allowed me to use on the purchase. Fiver! So basically what I'm saying is I dig the Tile Shop. At some point I'd love to learn how to tile and they supposedly offer free DIY classes, though from the sounds of another yelper you might need to call first. Also they have some gorgeous kitchen and bath setups lining the outer walls of the building all showcasing their various tile. You can get some good ideas from the various stagings. Great displays, horrible customer service, 3x higher prices than competition (for everything we compared), and they have to check you out twice because their systems are not linked. They ignore you until you stand in front of them, they answer the phone before talking to a customer waiting at the counter, and they generally give the impression that they would rather be anywhere else. read more

I just happened to pass by The Tile Shop by chance & I'm so glad I did! I was renovating my bathroom & had some idea of what I wanted to do. And then I met the store manager Gorn... What a find he was. Gorn helped me tremendously.. Even though I had an idea of what I wanted to do; Gorn's ideas and suggestions were so much better. He was very patient with me. Not only did he help me select tile, but he suggested light fixtures, plumbing fixtures...I didn't make a decision without him. My bathroom would not have looked as good as it does without him. Gorn is all about Customer Service. In fact, there was one small item that they forgot to give my contractor when he picked up the order. Gorn delivered it to my home himself! Amazing! I was making all the decisions about the tile in my bathroom myself -- and when I went to The Tile Shop (about a hundred times because I changed my mind a LOT), I was consistently met with great service, counsel, and good cheer. The selection is immense and that's why it's so great that people like Shakespeare and Daniel are there to guide you through your decision making & options! I was extremely grateful for the service excellence of Henry and Kevin as well -- they actually delivered the tile to my house and when I needed to order more tile in a hurry, they totally made that happen. I'm not sure why others didn't have a good experience, (sounds like they were fairly impatient) but I'm a huge fan -- and I think the prices are more than fair, too. HIGHLY recommended!!! read more

He spent time to discuss the pros and cons of the Tile and other features - was very knowledgeable. However, my decision came down to cost. Our experience with the store and it's entire team could not have been better. Cayla, Henry, Daniel were all very knowledgeable about the products, design and layout. From the beginning Cayla provided great recommendations and options for our project and offered suggestions to fit our budget. We had a number of issues with the contractor but the Shop was very accommodating at every turn and thru the multiple trips to return or purchase additional product. Henry provided great feedback and solutions when the contractor was unwilling to correct a number of the issues we have experienced. All in all a great experience. read more

Perimeter Location - They have a decent selection of tile but their customer service is the worst. I was there three times in the past week due to the fact that the tile currently in my home was from the Tile Shop and I needed to match it. The first customer service rep was brand new. He had no idea how to even help me and it didn't look like he was even trained. It took 2 hours for me to walk out with the samples I needed (I knew what I wanted and was quick to make a decision). My second visit, I knew exactly what I wanted and just needed to grab it and go. This time there was no service rep to help me at all. I went into their back cabinets and grabbed the bullnose I needed and all the other tiles myself. Finally I saw someone who could check me out and I thought I was in luck. It took him another 30 minutes to ring me up because he had no idea what he was doing and he had to keep running back to the tile aisle to get codes. Today, I ran back to grab a couple of additional tiles (I was a bit short). This should have been a 5 minute deal. I get there and the tile I need is sold out. I look for a service rep and there are none to be found. When I finally see one I notice he is busy talking to sales reps from some vendor and letting a line of three CUSTOMERS wait while he finishes the conversation. This place is unbelievably not customer focused. I wound up having to go to their Buckhead location where they had the tile I needed. Once at the Buckhead location, I quickly find the tile and there is a sales rep eager to ring me up (thankfully). All I needed was 7 4x4 travertine tiles. Should have been about $8. She tells me I owe her $75. This took another 10 minutes to figure out what she did wrong in her computer and to ring me up. Her ipad was not working and couldn't ring me up so she manually checked me out at the register. I swear this place does nothing but waste my time. I will never go back there again. Just the worst experience! I was buying two boxes of tiles, and a few bullnose tiles and it has taken me 5 days, three trips to the store and 6 phone calls to get answers and information. My tile was promised to me 4 days ago, when I left work to go pick it up, it wasnt there. Next time I learned my lesson and called first. Associate said our tile had come in again,. left work and went to get it,...what a shock it wasnt there. All this time my contractor is waiting at the house to finish the job which is now costing me money. Associate I spoke to yesterday promised to "make things right" and get me the tile vis UPS and that we should run by and get it this morning. Since we have learned our lesson, we called again first...and no surprise the tile STILL hasnt come in. This place is hands down the worst purchasing ecperinece I have ever had. I have purchased many times at floor and decor and never had a problem....I thought I would try a different place as this one is close to my home...BAD decision and never again. read more

"Over the past year and a half, I've shopped at the Dunwoody location of The Tile Shop for various home renovations. The store's selection of merchandise is excellent and the displays are extremely helpful in visualizing material combination options. When I needed my materials quickly, the staff went above-and-beyond to ensure that I received them in an expeditious manner. When my builder picked my order up from the store, he left some boxes behind. The store management made sure my product was stored safely until my builder could return to get it. When the same builder had over 30% wasted product from his installation methods, I needed more tile quickly to complete the job. Again, store management stepped up and made sure that I received tile from the same lot # / batch # so it would match the tile that had already been installed. The Dunwoody store had a more recent batch of product so they located the quantity I needed for my lot # and had it shipped from another store. I could go on and on but suffice it to say ... I am thrilled with the service I've received at this location and I will definitely be shopping here in the future!" read more
