We found this place with recommendations from my friend and coworker. My Dad and Mom came to help us put flooring into our basement last year, and this was a great place to go, with so many options and more affordable prices than some of the bigger stores. It's a good thing my Dad is handy (he helped construct our room above the garage, with help from his contractor friends, on our house in Virginia Beach years ago), and he already knew what to do. We went with waterproof, vinyl planks for the rooms, and wood-look tile for the laundry room. The staff here was super helpful and answered questions we had along the way, as well as recommendations for the flooring we needed. This place is the Costco of DIY Flooring and backsplash options. We came here to purchase tile for a bathroom project and didn't leave empty handed. Do your research before you come... you may get help if its not too busy. And get there early as they don't seem to have enough carts. read more

Purchased the floor and decor Nucore brand flooring for my house. It is less than two years old and is cracking and splitting. When I tried contacting them about the problem, they told me it was because i had the wrong underlayment. The underlayment I had purchased was from the at the suggestion of their employee.I had two full and completely closed boxes of flooring left over and out of a box of 8 planks, 6 of them broke off in the corner as I tried placing them. Their product is a joke and their warranty is a joke. I had several other tiles and things picked out for other home projects but I will now be searching elsewhere my tile and flooring needs read more

I don't love shopping for home improvement stuff . . . but my experience here was outstanding due to Marquee, the assistant manager. She was *super* helpful, and very patient with my questions. She recommended alternative tiles to look at and made sure I was able to get the right grout, mortar, and sealant for my marble tile. 10 out of 10, would shop here again . . . because Marquee is fantastic to work with!! read more

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. We loved the tile selection but we could not find one person to help us. We ask and asked. The one employee we found said they were busy. Finally we got in line for the cashier to ask her our questions. The cashier had no idea what she was doing. I understand new employees need to learn. This person literally had no idea what she was doing. We waiting in line for 38 minutes. We were in line behind 3 people. It took 38 minutes for her to ring up 3 people. A person who appeared to be a manager came up to talk to her twice while we were waiting. He was wearing his mask as a chin strap. He pulled it up over his mouth and nose when he was very close to us then he moved it into his chin as he walked away. He didn't answer our question and he didn't help the cashier. He must not understand how viruses spread. The sign at the entrance of the store says you must wear a mask. Maybe he doesn't have to because he is a manager? When we finally got up to her to ask a question she did not know how to answer our question but she did not call anyone for help. She just stared at the register like the answer would come to her somehow. With 2 dozen customers in the store they seemed to only have three employees. One of the employees was waiting at a return desk the whole time we were in the store. No one was making a return. We asked for a tile they did not have in stock. We asked is we could order it or if another store had it. She did not k is how long it would take to order it. She did not know how to call other stores. After a few minutes another cashier came to tell her how to call. She dialed the wrong store. She was in hold for a long time. After a few minutes she was told she called the wrong store. I'm not blaming the cashier. She obviously was not trained to do her job. Every customer took way too long! We finally decided to drive 54 minutes away to get the tile we need. It will be quicker than going back to FLOOR and DECOR. Safer too. read more

It's been 2 months & I STILL don't have my complete flooring order!!! I've called regularly, getting different answers and the run around from employees who can't tell me when my pieces will be ready, shipped, or even arrive. Rather than find a way to help me, the last employee I spoke with responded with sarcasm & complaints about how hard it was for HER. I even emailed the store manager, Bryan Bouskill, who did not reply. I've tried called customer service in Atlanta, GA & didn't get through to anyone. It's been the worst customer service!! Do not purchase here or you may end up like me living in perpetual construction mode, half-finished project, PAYING for the purchase, that has yet to arrive. read more

Salt Lake City Floor & Decor Store. Karla Is a Godsend! I have a pro account with Floor & Decor. In the midst of construction drama in Salt Lake City at this time, some tile was picked up that was not properly put under our account. This was our employee's error, not the store. It was a complicated return. Karla handled the issue perfectly. She is brilliant, pleasant, kind, calm.. she is everything a customer service pro should be. We have had a great experience up until now with our local store. First off we have been doing a whole house renovation which has been a challenge with the Covid 19 pandemic, supply and labor shortages and global supply chain issues. It's just taken much longer to get items that we needed and get labor to complete tasks. While working with Floor and Decor we worked with a designer (employee of Floor and Decor) which based all of our flooring and tile orders off of our actual plans. Our order was quite large at approximately 9k dollars. They told us that it's no big deal to order extra because if we had extra tile or flooring we could return it and as long as they still stocked the item it could be returned. Today we tried to return 7 boxes of flooring. About $500 worth of flooring and also had the intention of returning our unused tile at a later date. We were told on arrival after loading 350lbs of flooring into our truck and driving it over that they would not accept our return. One employee stated that they use to have a 120day return policy, then the manager said there was only a 90day return policy and that they had never had a 120day return policy. The employee that we worked with while purchasing the tile and flooring stated that as long as they stocked the items they could be returned. The manager today stated that Floor and Decor works with a 3rd party company to protect them from fraudulent returns. This company is called The Retail Equation. She said that unfortunately some times customers like us get caught up and denied a return. Basically they can deny your return if you have a bad record of returning items frequently or it's over a certain dollar value. The department manager at Floor and Decor then said that anything over a certain amount is automatically denied and sent to this 3rd party for their approval or denial. Thought I would also mention that this 3rd party company that Floor and Decor does business with has pending class action lawsuits against them because apparently they have just been denying valid returns. Anyways, we were told that we needed more flooring and tile than we actually needed and that as long as they still stocked it, it would be no problem to return the items. Then we found out that we are stuck with a bunch new boxed flooring and tile that we don't need. I do not recommended doing business with Floor and Decor or at very least don't let them calculate the square footage you need, don't plan on returning anything over $500 because it will be automatically denied and sent to review with the 3rd party company. I want the extra floor and tile out of my garage. 9k dollar order and no accountability by the people that planned the order for us, planned the square footage amounts based on our plans and told us some bogus lie about their return policy. Apparently they need to get all their employees on the same page about their policies. Not happy read more

I worked with Sami. She was great in helping me narrow down my choices. She had ideas for finishes that I was unaware of. Once the decisions were made, she grabbed a cart and loaded up all the supplies. She rang up my order and since no one else was available to help me load my car, she put everything in my car. I'm a senior citizen so lifting 50 lb bags and boxes is not something I am able to do. I couldn't have had a better experience. read more
