He was very thorough in taking our order, He made sure stock was in store and that the dye lots were the same. When we ordered the backsplash, he called over the the designer to help us pick the grout. She disagreed with our choice of color and took us over to the displays to show us why it wouldn't work. We're changing our countertops to butcher block and wanted to choose the actual pieces of Cherrywood to be used. F & D indicated we should come in earlier on a weekday morning to make sure someone would be available to assist us as it wouldn't be as busy. When we arrived yesterday we were immediately aided by Chuck. He and trainee Aileen escorted us back into the warehouse area where countertops are stored. Chuck was quite helpful and accommodating as we asked to see more that one piece of the sizes we needed. We found the pieces we wanted of the second ones we viewed. DIY Mosaic Project My parents are helping me do my backsplashes in my new house. They went to a class on last Saturday that Jeff was teaching. They were the only ones in the class, so Jeff suggested my Mom chose a similar Mosaic to use for the class. That was super helpful. He answered all of their questions, never made them feel like they were asking a "dumb" question. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. Today, my mother and I came to get the supplies for our project. We waited for someone to get freed up and then she sees the Mosaic Guru, Jeff. I got to meet him and he was so helpful. He helped me pick a grout to match my tile and also a nice trim/edge. He explained when to place our edging, so we didn't forget after it's too late. He also said to come back in if we had any questions. I have never received such helpful, knowledgeable and kind service at Home Depot or Lowe's. I'm so glad we decided to go with Floor and Decor, and were fortunate enough to work with Jeff. We went to the store and selected a tile. Told they didn't have enough in Tucson - fine...put the order in and rather than shipping from Mesa, it shipped from Texas - many more weeks and triple the shipping costs. We then reached out to ask about the tile at the Mesa store and rerouted the order to come from there...and got an email saying those tiles were not standard quality. It took us 2 weeks to get from the selection to just learning it wasn't going to work out. The refund for a significant outlay of money takes over a week...go to your local tile store! We are heading to AZ tile with high hopes. read more

I go here with my wife for every tile job we have with our family. They are so helpful to both of us, but especially her. Usually at flooring places they treat her like she doesn't know what she is doing because she is female. Not here, they always treat her with respect. Every time we go in someone is creating us and asking what do we need help with. Then there is the price. They always have tile accents on sale. I once picked up 12 by 12 medallions for under ten bucks. Overall this is where I go for tile! read more

I have purchased SO much material Here. Everything from Grout to tile to granite. I have not had trouble getting help and the quality depending on what it is will be commensurate with other tile Stores in town. You do have to watch it though. But, overall the employees are definitely not that knowledgeable. They think they are and claim to Be but their advice has several times proven to be wrong. The quality of some items is also very inconsistent and when you have the hassle of returning inferior product it's a hassle. Then lastly. If you have to order something in from another store beware! It can come broken and or not match and the employees trying to handle this is a comedy of errors of which they won't admit. I don't know who really is the general manager but that person needs to be more on top of the organizational information between employees. It's a cluster ! read more

I would like to share my Floor and Decor shopping experience feedback.  I stopped in on Feb. 24th with a mission of purchasing my previously selected backsplash and supplies, with a time constraint! I went up and down a few aisles trying to quickly find my choice (luckily I had taken a picture with the numbers). I'm standing at the end of an aisle with a lost look and guess who proactively asks me if I can use some help!! Marissa to my rescue, she NOT ONLY found the backsplash, she took me to the grout (helped me pick out the color), and the stuff that goes behind the tile and let's not forget the Slueter (sp) edging! She prescanned everything (as she loaded the cart for me), proceeded to guide me to the checkout and then she took everything to the car and loaded it in the back for me!! I am a 72 year old lady who was out of my element and Marissa was an absolute lifesaver for me. I am so appreciative you have employees that go the extra mile for customers! She is the best representative you could have for your store. So thanks to Marissa and I hope you will pass on to her what her extra effort made to me. read more

I went in to check on the status of an order after numerous attempts to contact the store over the phone. Fortunately, the order was in. However, I spoke to Toni to let her know that I had been unable to contact the store. She said it was a connectivity problem in the area and that there was nothing she could do about it. Another employee also said that she was unable to communicate through the phone. Toni said she checked and that I had received a phone call and most likely an email stating the order was ready. This simply was not true. No email, nothing in spam and no messages from the store. I was checking daily. This young lady was extremely rude and dismissive. My intention was only that she make management aware that customers cannot contact the store directly. She said if it was documented that this is what happened. (Not true). When I told her she was being rude, she said if I didn't like it, write a review. So disappointing. We have always had such nice people talk to us. I'm angry and upset. When I bought the tile to redo my entire house, Floor and Decor assured me they had sufficient inventory set aside for my house. Next thing I know, my contractor told me that it was on order and would be in soon. Now the shipment has arrived. It's not the same size or the same finish! I told the contractor to reject the load. He assures me that he'll make it look good. But he also ends with it's a different dye lot and "it is what it is". I'm livid! If Floor and Decor originally had enough to do my house, they didn't secure it properly. When they weren't able to fulfill the order, the should have said something so that I could have selected a different tile. They had no problem charging me more than $2000.00, but they didn't set aside what was purchased. This is no way to run a business that impacts the biggest investment a person makes! read more

I totally would've given this place 5 stars, for the sheer fact that they have variety and abundance galore. The choices are soooo much better than a lot of tile and home improvement places in tucson. Stop here before going anywhere else. The downside: the customer service representative's attentiveness, knowledge and enthusiasm to assist customers in their questions was really lacking. I'm more than sure management is not really into ensuring the best possible experience the customer could have here. Verdict::: Management: step up your game, please. UPDATE: I was able to speak to Stephen, which is the current store manager. Stephen promised me that all customers should be experiencing better service from this point forward. Just spent the day shopping at Floor &Door for tiles for two bathrooms. Didn't need a designer but were told one always available. Bring pics of your project to give designer an idea of what you are dealing with though . We teamed up with Manny who works the floor .He piled our selections onto a gurney then explained option .Take it now and he would load up our vehicle ,or take some and they would store rest of order up to two weeks or we could have our builder pick up the whole thing. So glad I found this store. They had great selection of tile. The prices were very competitive and the sub-contractor installation company was experienced and also price competitive. Much better than that company with the music jingle that advertises on TV so much. I got 3 estimates on material and installation. Two were competitive: the company with the jingle was almost twice as much for less quality. (Turned out, that company was trying to pawn off out-of-stock inventory on me to boot.) My buddy, who is a homebuilder of expensive homes, recommended Floor & Decor. He was right. read more

Can now add this to an establishment I will never return to. Saturday afternoon July 6, 2019 at 3 pm we were looking for some simple 12 X 12 ceramic tile for a home project. In about a 15 minute period of walking down aisles we counted 11 employees in the store. 1 was is the back actually assisting a customer. In a total time of about 25 minutes not a single one asked if we needed help, looking for anything in particular or anything else resembling customer service of any type. They did in fact go out of their way to ignore us. 6 of the employees were totally enamored with the cross dressed trans young man in leopard and pumps so we understand why we couldn't be helped. We couldn't tell if he was an employee or not. Its ok, went and found everything at better quality and price at a competitor. read more

I dealt with the worst customer experience ever in your Tucson store. Spent $2200 there and the manager (Jay) would not allow me to use the AZ resale certificate for tax purposes. He is a store manager, not a CPA and was giving tax advice. I had the form completely filled out with my tax identification # that I use on at least a dozen other business accounts. This cost me an additional $201.63 because he is not a CPA and has no idea what he is talking about. It is in your best interest as a company to encourage your staff to avoid giving tax advice. Many of the other employees followed suit in regards to just having a poor attitude all the way around. There was however one highlight employee named Kobi, who did an amazing job and salvaged the entire experience and the choice for me to spend $2200 in your store, otherwise I would have walked out and gone to one of the other 25 tile stores in this town. I'm sad to say the experience from the other 4 employees, including the manager completely destroyed what a great job he did. I honestly feel sorry for him that he has to work with miserable people. read more

This is our go-to store for tile! Even though we live on the NW side we drive over to Floor & Decor for the quality and low prices. Last night we spent a few hours there, looking at shower floor systems. One of the employees, Kobi, came over and started answering our many questions. He's very knowledgeable and offered suggestions which steered us in the right direction. We eventually talked to him about the tile we'd chosen for our shower and the accent tile (that we weren't crazy about..) and he started showing us many choices. He's got a knack for design! Great selection. Remarkably low prices. Some of the flooring products are on the lower end of the quality scale, but you cannot expect the same quality that you would find in a tile that is more than 5.00 a sq ft, when you are only paying 1.00 a square foot. You get what you pay for, right? Just be aware and be educated about your choices, so that you can make the most informed decision about what is right for your home and your budget. The selection of decorative inserts is fantastic. Way more choices than you would find at a Lowes or a Home Depot... Found exactly what I was looking for for two different projects, six months apart. When the quantity was low on two of the items I needed, they called another store and got them transferred in for me. They charged me just 5.00 for the transfer... Tracy, in particular, has been very helpful in getting my products in-store and in the hands of our installer. Give that young lady a raise! I have been very pleased with my experiences with Floor and Decor, and only wish that there was a store on the NW side (Oro Valley) of Tucson. We had a wonderful experience here. The manger was very helpful and insightful. He gave us a lot of information about the two tiles we were looking at...and the differences and commonalities. We were buying tile to re-do our whole house. We decided and the tile and bought it. Three weeks later we went back to buy grout, luckily he was working and remembered us. I will never purchase anything or recommend this place to anyone. I went looking for new floor and made it clear to them that I didn't want wood floors because the tend to scratch easily. They recommended tile floors. I purchased the tile and installed it myself. Two months later the tile is all scratched from us walking on it. More so than the wood floors I had before. I called to place a claim and they suggested I pay a flooring inspector to test the quality of the tile. The inspector is charging $3000 for the report. This is more than I paid for the tile. Floor and Decor does not care about the customer. If I could select zero stars I would. read more

We just tiled 1,000 square feet in our house and used this store to purchase everything. I love the variety of tile and other supplies. The employees are very knowledgeable and anytime I had a question they were able to answer it immediately. I was very pleased with Floor and Decor's whole package. Not only will you find higher quality materials for better prices than Home Depot or specialty flooring outlets, but also the service is quite good for the price. Others have commented that their service was slow or even non-existent. Sure, sometimes F&D could have been speedier, but these folks fail to realize that in order to get the best selection and price, some things are not going to be perfect. In my experience, I was always attended to promptly and given solid advice. In fact, Ada, at the design center was able to give expert insight into the benefits of different materials and recommend some great options for my project. One time, I even asked for advice by email and she was able to produce the perfect color scheme for my project. I'd recommend this store and team to anyone in Tucson. read more
