    Hallway, Flooring
    Dan S.

I purchased a condo a few months ago that had been used as an income property for several years. All original builder-grade carpet, cabinetry, counters, bathroom. Being 20+ years old, it needed lots of help. Given our current covid realities, finding a reliable and available contractor to take on my project was going to be tough. So I decided to start with the flooring and then go from there. I contacted Flooring n More through Yelp and they responded quickly. After some initial discussions, I advised Damir there were a few more renovation items on my list besides the floors and asked if he was interested in taking a look. After reviewing the list and doing an on-site visit, he agreed to take on my entire project. This included all new floors, some new Kitchen cabinets and modifications, new quartz counters, 2 bathroom renovations, fireplace refinishing and top to bottom painting. In the last 30 years, I have done more renovations than I care to admit. I have to say, this one was by far the smoothest, hassle free and "honest" project I've done. Damir put together a team that showed up every day and they put in full days. If some issue or delay arose, there was always a plan B to work on something else to keep things moving. They were accommodating with several changes and additions I asked for along the way. Sometimes these projects can leave a person feeling vulnerable or frustrated. Damir always stayed in contact with me and left me feeling assured. In 4 weeks, everything was done, no surprises. I love how everything turned out. While I'm hoping I don't have to do another renovation for a very long time, I'm so grateful I found and chose Damir for my project and that he agreed to take it on.

Truly an amazing experience! Damir & Petya worked with me to try and stay within my budget. They were so reasonable, responsive, and accommodating throughout the project. In addition to amazing work, they were extremely fast and done within a couple weeks! Lastly, their crew were very professional and nice anytime I stopped by. Highly recommend them!!!

Best customer service experience here with Petya & Damir. Nejra helped me design my layout and she did an amazing job! They are very well organized at managing all of the different jobs done within the project and did an impressive job with staying within the timeline.

We are extremely impressed by their service on our flooring install . They had the best pricing and were very professional. Their pricing and quality was much better than homedepot and another flooring company we had considered. We love how our downstairs turned out especially the stairs. They are very knowledgable. Would recommend to all our friends and will be considering them for our future home projects.

Ordered kitchen, bathroom cabinets and countertops through Damir. My contractor finished the job but had to wait two weeks for the correct bathroom cabinets. He ordered an extra cabinet for my kitchen, that he won't return. He's trying to charge me for additional kitchen countertop even though he was clear with my layout. I was present when countertop measurements were going on and nothing was mentioned about an extra 750.00 charge. He didn't deliver the correct cabinet for my farm house sink so I settled for an undermount sink. The additional upgrade for the farm house sink was 250.00 but he is keeping that amount. No refund! He also left out a large amount of crown molding above my kitchen cabinets....he said he would deliver but haven't heard anything for two weeks. He's definitely more interested in making money, not customer satisfaction!

We are extremely happy with our kitchen/ main floor renovation. Damir was easy to work with, he was always available to answer any questions. I was happy with all his suggestions when it came to designing the kitchen. They did our flooring cabinets and countertops. We did our research and we found that they were much more affordable than a lot of other places. I highly recommend them.

We just recently renovated our home and after visiting a few cabinet stores we finally decided on Flooring n More. We first worked with Petya on picking out cabinets, all I knew is that I wanted white. After asking a few questions about what I preferred over what I didn't like, She went through cabinet options with me. For someone that's renovating for the first time, she made this part of the reno a breeze! The cabinets were perfect, delivered on time and we had their crew install them as well. They were great to work with and always on time. Also very respectful of our home. They also gave us a few renovating tips.

Here are before and after pictures! White linen is an off white color which reflects really nice but also doesn't look like white so it doesn't get dirty. Check them out Flooring N More!

Although there were a few missing components when we opened all of the packaging containing the cabinetry, Brian made sure everything was as it should be in the end and got me everything I asked and paid for with no argument. He even made a few deliveries himself. Brian was professional, extremely knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions or concerns. He had me come up to his office / warehouse location to look at some examples of what United had to offer, which I would recommend others do as well. He "always" responded back to me when I sent an email or called even when he was ill or on vacation. He explained things when I didn't understand so I could contemplate what I wanted, and we could go forward from there. When the remodel was complete, Brian and his colleague, Jade Hemmings, came out with a professional photographer (at my convenience) and took photographs. Jade made sure I was given copies of the photos taken, which was sincerely appreciated. I would highly recommend United Wholesale Supply Inc and anyone lucky enough to have Brian as their sales associate, would be lucky to have him.

DON'T WALK RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM COSMOS SURFACES!!!…read moreCosmos has the absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered, and they do not back up their products. Unfortunately, Cosmos was recommended to me by our fabricator. A recommendation he now regrets and will never make again. I fell in love with the Phoenix Blue quartzite and purchased 2 slabs for over 5400.00. When the countertops were installed, I noticed immediately that the finish is not consistent and the stone chips incredibly easy. According to the fabricator the finish from the factory does not look like it was done correctly. It looks like parts are polished and others are leathered. Ashish from Cosmos agreed to come to our house to look at the stone with our fabricator. Upon inspecting the stone very closely Ashish said to both of us that he has never seen anything like this and will make this right. After weeks of contacting Ashish via phone and email we were finally told sorry Cosmos is not going to do anything. It's your fault for picking the stone and your fabricators fault for not catching the problems with the stone within 2 weeks of delivery. I then emailed Ashish directly and asked him to call me. He did not have the guts to call me and instead sicked his receptionist on me, Crissy or Chis was her name. She relayed the same message to me. Needless to say, I was not happy the receptionist calling me when I asked for the manager to call me and her lack of customer service. My husband and I made a trip to Cosmos that afternoon to talk to Ashish in person. Crissy or Chris greeted us at the door with ice cream stuffed in her mouth. She ran and got Ashish for us. We explained who and why we were there. Ashish flat our denied telling me and the fabricator that he would make this right. I pushed back and said I was right there and heard you say it. He then relented and admitted to both of us that he did indeed say it, but his corporate office will not honor what he promised. Then Crissy/Chris jumped in and said it's all on your fabricator, the stone's finish should have been caught within 2 weeks. I responded with I don't want to talk to you I want to talk to the manager. We then asked for another email to be sent to the corporate office and to copy us in. Ashish did do that but gave no real details, so I replied all with details. I got a call shortly after hitting send from an angry Ashish telling me not to contact him again and to deal with corporate. It's now been 2 months with no response from corporate or the warranty department. I've emailed the CEO with no response as well. A few weeks ago, Ashish had his bulldog Crissy/Chris call the fabricator to say they would give us a 1000.00 credit. When asked for something in writing it's been radio silence. We are now purchasing 2 new slabs from a reputable company, and the fabricator is removing the counters and will install new ones after they have been refabricated. So, we are out over 5400.00 and the fabricator is doing twice the work for no extra money. My next steps are to file complaints with the states of Utah and Washington. Run away from Cosmos!! Part 2 ... Two days after posting this review to the SLC office I received a call from Crissy/Chris yelling that she had just read my review. She continued on with "I was never mean to you and can't believe one woman would degrade another woman." She then hung up on me before I could say a word. Had this been any other company but Cosmos Surfaces I would have been shocked. Such wonderful customer service they have...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TASK: Remove existing backsplash and countertop and install a new backsplash and countertop…read more PROBLEM 1: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE COUNTERTOPS. Nothing was covered. All contents of the drawers were contaminated by demolition materials. In addition, during the demolition, the underlayment of the countertops was damaged. As stated in the contract, this was not to be addressed by Granite and Marble Specialists (GMS). Once the island countertop was removed, you could see that a heavy layer of glue remained on the underlay. The installers said that that was not their responsibility. They installed the countertop over the uneven underlayment of the residual glue. This meant that there were up to 1/2 inch gaps between the counter and the underlayment, stretching a span of 108.5 inches. Over time, this will lead to instability and breakage of the stone. The installers forged ahead and installed the new countertop independent of the gaps. The installers were adamant that they had installed the island countertop to level. RESULT: We had to remove the new countertop and have the surface sanded to level before having them reinstall the countertop. PROBLEM 2: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE BLACKSPLASH AFTER DEMOLITION. This meant that it was the homeowner's responsibility to install drywall and to make sure that the backsplash was level. The backsplash was 1.5 inches unlevel from one end of the backsplash to the other. Thus, in addition to the provision of drywall because the existing drywall was damaged during demolition, we had to shim the drywall to ensure the backsplash was level for the backsplash installation. RESULT: We had to go buy wood, cut it to the specific dimensions and install the new underlayment for the backsplash. IN SUM: GMS provided what the contract stated, an installed countertop and backsplash. It was not stated in the contract that it be level or that it be level to the degree that it was level prior to the new installation. The installers showed it to be level because the countertop was 108.5 inches long X 46 inches wide X 3cm deep. So, BEWARE. If this is the type of installation you are looking for, this is the organization for you.

She built everything out from there in a way that felt cohesive, elevated, and still deeply personal to us. Her communication, efficiency, sourcing, and design aesthetic are truly outstanding. She handled a large, complex project with impressive speed and attention to detail, and the end result exceeded our expectations. What stands out most is how livable and enjoyable the space is. We've hosted many gatherings since moving in, and both we and our guests consistently appreciate the design. We've received countless compliments from friends and family, and it's genuinely a pleasure to experience her work every day. We wouldn't hesitate to work with Gwen again and are already looking forward to the opportunity!

I found Gwenn on an internet search. I interviewed a few other designers but hired Gwen after her receiving her detailed follow-up email from the initial visit. In that email she clearly articulated a vision for how my house should be furnished and accessorized. I was sold: "Based on what I gathered from you and your home, I imagine the design of your space would fall somewhere in the realm of warm contemporary, comfy, understated but a touch swanky, masculine, PNW natural / rustic. Neutral and subdued colors, varied natural textures, layered and homey, soulful. Furnished with timeless and quality elements that could work in future homes too." Gwen has executed on the vision perfectly all the while taking my feedback and taste into consideration. Gwen selected furniture, carpets, lighting, art, plants, and décor for my office, living room, bonus room, master bedroom, kitchen, outdoor patio, and hallways. She helped me accessorize my kitchen with all new cookware, knives, silverware, gadgets, etc. Saying that Gwen selected all of these items does not do justice to her work. The pieces selected were of the highest quality. Quality observable to the eye and to the touch. Most the pieces selected are themselves a work of art that give me joy just to look at daily. Some of the pieces were custom made to be the perfect fit for the space. Gwen found the craftspeople and helped design these custom pieces. Gwen was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. She did all the coordination of ordering and deliveries. Gwen found electricians to install the lighting and spent all day here making sure that a custom light fixture was installed. Her punctuality is something that I must comment on because when she told me that she would be at my house at a certain time I could set my watch to her arrival. I sincerely appreciated this punctuality because I believe it speaks volumes to how she cares about her clients and her craft. All of this work and sourcing was during COVID shutdowns when lead times on furniture exploded which made the project more difficult. All of the accounting and billing was online and easily accessible. In summary, Gwen designed the spaces in my home in a way that bring a smile to my face ever day. She did all of the work and minimized the amount of effort needed by me. I couldn't be happier with the result.
