Moon's just finished redoing the floor in my Spirit Room (kept for spiritual matters). Years ago a…read morewater heater located within the wall of that room's closet had leaked and caused the floor to bow. Unfortunately two (or was it three?) rounds of handymen had failed to fix it. Two years ago I had the house renovated and had given specific instructions for the people to straighten and repair the floor in there before laying down the new stuff. They did not. I was surprised that Moon's said they'd have to take out a large strip of floor tiles or whatever they're called when they're vinyl, even though the dip was about six square feet, but okay. The strips have grooves in the sides that can't just be ripped out and replaced. Then it turned out they had to redo the entire room! But whew, that explained the estimate they'd given me. Instead of hair-raising, it now sounded quite fair. I found a box of leftover planks and prepared for them. They helped me move out the remaining large stuff that I hadn't counted on having to be removed. When they got through the usable planks, we discovered the box o' planks was for the attached studio and not the room and didn't match, so a second crew had to come back with a new supply of planks for the entire room, since they'd been unable to match or even come close to what I'd had. Same estimate; okay. Well, they didn't order QUITE enough, but the third crew and a new box were able to finish the job! The room is GORGEOUS. The planks they chose are alike enough to the rest of the house that if you aren't looking for it, you don't notice the difference. They replaced the quarter-round with matching oak quarter-round instead of the white stuff that had been there before. Classy! The floor is now SMOOOOOOTH, no dip. I am so satisfied! Would recommend them.

My daughter had the company install carpet it her house and reported a positive experience, so I called Boyd whom she dealt with. After been a week I didn't hear back from them, so my wife and I stopped by the showroom. Boyd was at his office and showed us several carpet samples. He sent us an estimate four or five days later. I called him to make the purchase. The next step involved rather "businesslike" employee who came out to measure the two rooms. Boyd told me he would let me know when the carpet arrived to their warehouse. After about a week and 1/2 of not hearing anything, I called Boyd. Lo and behold, the carpet was there and had been. This was the second example of the lack of communication from the company. My wife suggested that I call Boyd to confirm that the scheduled installation would indeed happen. It didn't occur to me to do that, because I guess I''m trusting. Boyd was was out of the office. The receptionist said that she would contact the warehouse manager, who was also away from the office, and that she would call me back with confirmation. She never called me back either! I called the company the second time that day and was able to reach, I believe, Tina who confirmed that the carpet would be installed on the scheduled day. No explanation as to why no one had called me back. A couple brought the carpet out on Thursday and spent much of the day installing it. They worked steadily. They were fine to deal with other than their lack of English which was a bit of a problem. It appeared that they did a good job installing the carpet and cleaning up. I wish I had checked more closely how they replaced the furniture once the new carpet was in. Three large pieces of furniture were not put back like they originally which makes it difficult or impossible for me to use a large drawer and watch television at the right angle. As you can gather, my main problem in dealing with the company was their lack of communication. No one from the company called me back on three occasions! Nor have I heard from them with any sort of follow-up. In addition to being frustrating, this obviously makes it difficult to do business with them.

You have to understand, that for a guy like me, it ain't easy finding a place you trust, then finding the right floors that match your house decor, then finding it at the right price. All of these things become obstacles that you need to overcome in order to find the perfect flooring. Luckily for me, I was fortunate to be recommended Brentwood flooring by my friend and contractor. I went in and spoke to Wes and he directed me to find a number of possible hardwood floor options that were beautiful, that fit my home decor and also fit my budget! So happy! And I was lucky to also find out that they currently are offering 18 months with zero percent financing which will allow me to pay off the floors monthly! I could not be happier! I am recommending to all of my 10,000 friends on yelp, Twitter, Facebook LinkedIn and Instagram to go here first if you need any help with your carpet or hardwood flooring needs!

I had an OUTSTANDING experience with Brentwood Carpets in Cary, NC. I worked with Wes Newsome…read more Wes was responsive by phone and email- always in a timely manner. It was great to have a reliable point person through the entire process. Brentwood called me the day before the installation to confirm, which I appreciated. Installation team showed up the following morning on time. The team consisted of three men- all courteous, experienced, and hard-working. 1650 sq ft of carpet including two staircases, old removed and new installed all in one day. They worked for nearly 12 hours! But I never saw them rush; they took great care in their work. They cleaned up (inside and outside) and vacuumed completely before leaving. I'm so glad we did not go the big box store route. For my wife and me, having Wes as our point person and knowing a high-quality install team would be doing the work were invaluable.

They just finished putting laminate in the downstairs and we couldn't be happier with it. it feels very solid, and every detail was attended to. Marcus Veasey was my project manager and after a slow start (unexpected labor shortage due to ICE) the entire downstairs was done in just a few days. His follow through was certainly helpful in that instance! We don't have any flooring left to do, but if we did I'd be headed right back to USA Flooring in Durham

To Whom it May Concern…read more I want to make the general public aware of USA Flooring (Durham NC) return and refund policy. As discussed with me on Tuesday July 1, 2025 when I tried to return an unused box of Shaw Flooring and two containers of transition pieces (unopen) they would not accept or refund the returned items. As explained to me, USA Flooring is a "middleman" between the consumer and the floor manufacturer (Mohawk, Shaw, etc.). They do not maintain on-site inventory, therefore they do not accept returns or provide refunds for material that has not been used. In our case, we were negotiating with our homeowner insurer about our damaged floor. The current floor is more than 13 years old and our concern with purchasing the same floor "to patch the damage" was that there would be mis-match in flooring. We purchased a box of the flooring and as it turns out, there was a mis-match of color and grain between the current and new floor. When we tried to return the box of flooring (none of pieces were used) and transition strips, the USA Flooring refused to provide a refund. They said they would look into quality assurance issues for a potential refund, but there were no QA issues and we sensed that was just an "off the cuff" comment with no value, so that we would leave the store. Keep in mind, when purchasing the material, no one stated that there was a no return policy, it is not on their printed receipts and there is no visible signage within the store about No Returns, No Refunds. Just wanted everyone to be aware for future reference.
