I can't give them less than one star, so here it goes. No bull, this is the truth, nary the good, and unfortunately plenty more of the bad and ugly to go around. The good : ?! They offer average customer service and knowledge in the store (working with the salesman), a respectable choice of various products/flooring needs - carpet, laminate, wood flooring and tiles,....and the pricing was decent - as they worked with us a little. The installation pricing was a little high, but when it came to the actual installation,.....that's where the story gets interesting. The bad and ugly: Sakes alive. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else to get carpet, or better yet, get it installed. As I mentioned before, we got a fairly decent deal on the price of the carpet, but after that, everything went downhill quickly. They even tried to sneak the cheaper and thinner grade of padding on our floors as well; after we paid for a better grade of padding. They unnecessarily pieced together many small portions of the padding in an area of one of the rooms as well. When they were done, we inspected the finished job and discovered the carpet was cut short and didn't meet the wall in all of the bedrooms. Now we know why. And get this : We were told that we were getting the best carpet installer they had. I shudder at the thought of getting their worst ! Because the installation was below par, we wanted someone from the store to look at it, but they kept avoiding us completely. We just continually got lip service over the phone. The owner is no where to be found. We tried talking to the guy when we went to the store, and the coward just went into his office and drew his blinds and ignored us. He was too busy to deal with his customers. He got our money I guess, why should the loser deal with us? The woman who heads up the customer service department had the nerve to yell on the phone asking us if we are experts on carpet installation. REALLY !? How are they still in business with this unbelievable behavior going on ? Maybe karma will have the last word when it comes to the future of this business. I am reminded of the life story : when you sow a bad seed, you reap a bad crop, or no crop at all. We will never EVER deal with them again. We found another place to get flooring; for a much better price, and the installers are more than capable,.... and also with a better labor price bonus as well. One thing that was a notable red flag to be wary of is that they require everything be paid up front before installation. Most businesses that are honorable would never demand that. We paid for half down initially to cover most of the price of the carpet. In hindsight, the whole deal was sketchy and suspect. Unfortunately we got burned as result of it. It's a good lesson and an even better thing that we paid with a credit card. I believe I smell a dispute in the near future. I can only hope we will receive some form of redemption. UPDATE: We finally got someone to come out and look at the poor installation. They sent out a guy who stretched the carpet to fit to the wall. Whatever. I am just glad to wash my hands clean of this frustrating experience. I hope the end has been realized. read more

Do not go to Floors to Go. I can't vouch for their work. But I can vouch for the way they tried to be slick about charging me more money for my carpet by over estimating square footage, charging me for every little thing (removal, hauling, moving furniture, special staircase) and refusing to itemize what I was paying for. May be its because I was a female. Did not feel comfortable with them at all. Go to Best Price Flooring. We are happy with our experience from the showroom to the installation. Everyone was so friendly and professional. We called on Monday and had our carpet installed Wednesday of the same week. The installers were incredible! They did a great job and were quick to finish all of it. They cleaned everything up and vacuumed the floor so it was move in ready. I would love to give negative stars but the system will not allow. We wanted a new kitchen floor. We called they came out and measured. We went with them at first. So we picked out our floor and scheduled the tear out and install, they came to drop the product off to start work in the next few days. When they dropped off the materials the installer looked and stated he would need more time. I work from home, I had made arrangements for the day of work the day they said they would need to COMPLETE the job. We never wavered on what we wanted. they knew from the start what we wanted. Now they said they need an additional day and they would leave our kitchen tore up over the weekend. We asked if they could bring in help to finish in the time they originally gave the sales person then started to giggle. GIGGLE at our request, we also asked if it was possible to complete the work on Saturday and that was met with similar response. They left and after speaking with each other my spouse and I decided that if they were not able to give us what was agreed upon and they wanted to laugh in our faces we would just take our materials and do it ourselves. We called and asked for a refund of the labor costs. Once the price was quoted for labor it did not match what we figured because of the materials delivered. They argued with us and I called and spoke with Chris Campbell the next day. We found the discrepancy they shorted us a box of flooring. We spoke with them again to have the money for the box refunded to us and WE measured our floor. The supplies that were sent was not enough to do the job. It would have never been enough to do the job. So regardless if the installer would have been able to do the job in one day he would not have been able to complete the process. So we said we would just like the box thinking it was just not loaded into the truck to be delivered to us. A big old fat no there, THEY HAD TO ORDER IT. ORDER IT, so they did not order enough in the first place. we paid for the correct amount but it was not ordered. So we have now had enough of the company, we ask for them to just refund all of the money and wave the 1/3 restock fee due to their incompetence and rude behavior and the fact that at this point I have a feeling that when the guy would have ran out we would have been charged for a 7th box of material when we did not receive the material that was ordered in the first place. When I brought this to the attention that would have been the natural progression of the situation I was given the riot act. We have been here since I don't care when and we have a blah blah blah with BBB. Sir that can be bought BBB is a joke and yes you are scamming us. I have undeniable proof. We were charged for a whole roll of under-laymen and only a fraction was delivered. If we did not have a problem that would have NEVER have been caught and that is money in YOUR pocket. It is only a est 30 cost but that adds up. Well that is my story, shop at your own risk with this company. I should have read the reviews before I gave them a dime. JUST DONT DO IT. There is a reason they can get you in quick where there is a big wait everywhere else. read more

I can only speak from my experience, but I had the new interlocking waterproof floor installed in my basement. Chris Campbell was the sales guy. He was very knowledgable and helped guide me through the process. The floor was measured exactly when the appointment was setup. The floor was installed exactly on the days we scheduled. The floor looks perfect. The installers were great people too. I will go to Floors To Go again when I need to replace other flooring. Note, that I did move all the furniture and I prepared the floor before installation. We scheduled over two days to allow me to move furniture back over one half of the basement. read more

First, let us say that we absolutely love the luxury vinyl plank flooring we got from Floors To Go for our entry and dining area. That said, the service has been terrible. After selecting and ordering my flooring, I waited a month for the call that the product was in so installation could be scheduled. After I called them, it was miraculously in the warehouse and they were ready to schedule installation for the following Tuesday. Tuesday came, no one showed up. I called, and was told "oh, you're not on the schedule for today, you're on the schedule for tomorrow". Annoying, but the flooring was finally installed that week -- sans transition strips. They didn't order any transition strips for the places where the vinyl meets carpet (t-mold) and ceramic tile (reducer). That order was placed after I called the store to demand it (installers didn't think to tell the store...), and another 2 weeks goes by with no communication. I called the store and again, magically, the strips have arrived and are ready to be installed next day. Awesome! Except, they bring 2 t-molds for even-to-even flooring installs, so it doesn't work for the transition to ceramic, where they'd ripped out the original reducer. They install it anyway, you can see the edge of the tile under it and it pops anytime my kids step on it. Not good. I get the store to place an order for the correct reducer strip... 3 weeks later, zero communication, and I call and email the store. Again. This time, they don't even bother to call me back. They call my husband instead. Apparently I'm scary to talk to (I've been nothing but polite and patient!). They schedule install of the reducer for TODAY 8a-8:30 estimated arrival. I organize my work schedule around this. At 9am, I call the store to find out if we're even still on the schedule. I'm told: "He has your paperwork, so he'll be there today. Probably mid-morning." To which I reply: "No, we were told 8-8:30am and I've organized my day around that." Without apologizing for the mixup or continued underwhelming customer service, she replies that she'll call the guy, then hangs up. So, I don't know what time he'll be here, and I don't have confidence he'll have the right reducer strip. I'm 100% sure though that if we decide to continue this flooring into the other living areas, we'll buy the product and have someone else install it. read more

This is a great place to go if you are looking to pick up your flooring and install yourself. I found a great deal on a really nice laminate that the big box stores didn't come close to. I installed one room myself and then had the store instal a second room. That's where the problems began. The floor wasn't installed correctly, no pattern was followed and a bunch of little boards ended up together. They also pounded the crap out of the boards to get them into place instead of locking them in which resulted in A LOT of chips. They did come out and reinstall the floor correcting the pattern but reusing the chipped boards. They blamed the quality of the laminate rather than the instal method (I did not have this issue with my room). It's been three months now and I'm still waiting on them to finish the installation. Every time I call they have another excuse as to why things haven't moved forward. But the fact remains that I paid a large sum of money for a room that still isn't finished. Never fixed and I had to tear out and replace floor on my own dime. Their floor lasted about 6 mos before large chips came up due to the edges of the boards being beaten so badly! read more

Reading the other reviews, I'm glad we had them do the install and not DIY. That said, our floors look so much better than they did, but the install was not without flaws. I expected them after noon, planning to move my appliances in the A.M.. The installer showed up at 8:20 A.M. (about the time I usually get up). When I moved the fridge, I couldn't get the ice-maker line to stop leaking, so I shut off the water to the whole house. No shower, no coffee. We paid to have a diagonal lay of our tile. When the installer laid the very first piece vertical, I asked him to show me the work order and I pointed out the word "Diagonal" and he said "Yes Diagonal". I took my dogs back upstairs and the installer continued to lay the floor wrong. Not wanting our kitchen in disarray longer, I decided to let them finish. I asked and they refunded me money, but I do not think it was the right amount and there is no way to tell, since the original work order does not break down price, just square feet. On top of that, our total install labor was over $1100, but they paid the installer only $370. Again, my floors look so much better, but I just can't help but think this was just a bit shady. Make sure your work order and invoice are fully itemized. I still have not received a final invoice. read more

This is really not a good place to get flooring in my opinion. I had laminate flooring put in my entire main floor of my home in October of 2013, and have had to have areas replaced due to the flooring pulling apart, and buckling twice in 2014, and it is now doing it again. We contacted them in November of 2014 they came out in December of 2014 and were going to get this problem fixed AGAIN, but have yet to have that happen. They have more excuses why they have not come out, but have had yet to have them come out and fix my flooring issues, just promises that they will be out next week over and over again. read more

In 2013 my wife and I bought laminate flooring from Floors To Go. Within 3 years we experienced warping of the ends and edges. The bill of sale did not show any warranty on the Shaw laminate that was laid. We had to go to the Shaw website online to discover that it came with a 20 year warranty. Floors To Go send out one of their staff for an inspection who verbally told me he felt it was a manufacturing problem. When I asked for a copy of his report, I was told that it was their property and I was denied a copy of this report. An independent inspector from the manufacturer (Shaw Manufacturing) was scheduled to inspect our floor on request by Floors To Go. We received a report from Floors to Go telling us that the independent inspector said we had "a very high moisture content in our laminate" and that our claim was "denied." However, when the Shaw inspector was in our house he measured with an instrument and said that our "floors were dry." What he apparently wrote in his report was completely opposite than what he verbally told us in our home. Since I was denied the report from Floors To Go"s own representative, I felt it would be to no avail to even ask for the Shaw representative's report from Floors To Go. I was told from the Customer Service representative, Beverly Honeyman, that since Shaw denied our claim "there was nothing else they could do." The point of this complaint is that Floors To Go failed to stand behind their product and be an advocate for us as their customer. We spent our hard earned retirement savings on this flooring, and felt abandoned and betrayed by them as their customer. read more
