This was one of the most concerning salon experiences I've had, and I would strongly advise others to AVOID this place. During my appointment, my nail tech noticed green discoloration under my gel nail and called it "mold." Instead of stopping the service, removing the product, or taking any sanitary precautions, she filed the nail and applied new hard gel directly over it. Covering a potentially infected nail is not only irresponsible, it reflects a serious lack of basic hygiene and safety standards. I went back to address the issue and asked for the product on that nail to be removed. They refused to offer a complimentary removal and told me they would "cover up anything," even if it were an infection. That statement alone should be alarming to anyone considering this salon. They also dismissed the possibility of infection entirely and showed no concern for my nail health. To make matters worse, this wasn't an isolated issue. On multiple previous visits, I told the techs that my nails were lifting. Instead of properly addressing the cause, they repeatedly just added glue over the lifted areas and continued with the service. That kind of shortcut traps moisture and bacteria, and it very likely contributed to the situation I'm now dealing with. A salon that ignores lifting, covers over potential infections, and refuses to take accountability is not maintaining safe or sanitary practices. This goes beyond poor customer service..... it's a health risk. I will not be returning, and I would strongly recommend going somewhere that actually follows proper hygiene standards and prioritizes nail health.

I found this spot on Yelp and I am so glad I decided to stop by. There is paid underground parking garage available, and I was able to walk in without an appointment, which was super convenient. The spa itself is beautifully decorated, very cute, and has a fun, girly vibe that makes the whole experience feel relaxing and special. They were also running a promotion, with a sign right at the entrance offering additional discounts, which we always appreciate. I got a gel manicure called "Delight" for $50 and a signature pedicure with regular polish for $55. Emily did my nails, and she was fantastic. It has been two weeks now, and I am still really happy with how everything has held up. There has been no lifting or cracking at all, and I still absolutely love the color.

The salon is gorgeous, and everyone was nice, but the quality of work wasn't worth the price. The environment and atmosphere was definitely upscale, but the actual service provided was not up to par. I got a gel pedicure, and the work seemed rushed, and my toes were filed uneven. I think I would try it again just because it's very pretty and I like the water and Madeleine cookie, but if the quality wasn't there again, i wouldn't come back. I

ZERO STARS!! Making an appointment with this salon was difficult enough, but the real frustration came afterward. I scheduled an appointment only to find out that they were running behind and could no longer accommodate me. No one proactively communicated the delay or cancellation, despite the fact that I had arranged my schedule around the appointment. Running behind can happen, but failing to notify customers and effectively canceling their appointment at the last minute is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for a client's time. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that others avoid this salon. If they cannot honor scheduled appointments or communicate when there is a problem, there is no guarantee that you will receive the service you booked. There are plenty of businesses that value their customers' time--unfortunately, this is not one of them.

Loved it here! First time coming and it is so pretty and clean here. It's tucked away behind the bier garden, but there's normally lots of parking. The ladies are super sweet and really helped me relax. I came to do my engagement photoshoot nails and she nailed it! Linh was great! Definitely will book again

Reservations are not honored. Got sat down at 3:45 for a 3:00 mani pedi. Didn't end up getting a manicure because it was 4:15 when they brought someone over. Ended up leaving close to 5 pm with just a pedicure. Left work early, super dissatisfied. Staff were nice and I feel bad leaving a review, but this was absurd. read more

While everyone was very nice and I appreciated the clean and tranquil atmosphere, the quality of the work is subpar. I was cut by the drill multiple times and had to ask the tech to clean under my nails. The pedicure immediately chipped and was messy. The manicure was also messy with sharp edges underneath the extension and the nails being mismatched lengths between my two hands. They also recommended an incorrect color. I went into the shop in advance to make sure they had a sheer cat eye that wasn't glittery, showed them my nails that currently had such a shade, and showed a picture. The desk person said they had that. When I got in they put something on my nails that was super glittery that I only noticed once I got outside in the light. I went back to give them the opportunity to remedy these mistakes and they refused. read more

I went once about a month ago for a gel pedicure and it was a good experience. I did the most expensive Creme de la Creme option. I came back last week and did that same service and was not happy with the experience. She didn't do the callous treatment at all, and massage was basically non existent. I asked her to cut my nails as short as possible, and she cut them so they were long. I asked her to please cut them shorter and she did, but still not short short. I paid $115 for this service, and the point of paying more is to get the extra experience. I will definitely not be going back, it's not worth the money. It's too bad too because it's a beautiful studio and it could be a really great experience, they would retain customers better (and make more money) if they ensured excellent service every time. read more

I've come to this salon a handful of times. I schedule my appointments 3-5 days in advance and every single time, someone is either calling me to push my appointment back or I'm waiting around the salon for 20-30 minutes before I'm actually seen. Or when I call to schedule an appointment, the receptionist doesn't put my appointment on the books and when I show up they have no record of me. They do a good job but it's not worth it if they're not on time with their appointments. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon and have had consistently great experiences here. The staff is talented, friendly, and my nails always turn out beautiful. This is definitely my go-to spot and I recommend it often. The only improvement I'd love to see is an option when booking online to have a manicure and pedicure done at the same time. I always set aside time in my day to come in, and sitting for 2+ hours to do the services back-to-back can be tough and takes up a big chunk of the day. Most other salons I've been to offer both services simultaneously, which makes a huge difference time-wise. I truly enjoy coming here and will continue to -- I just hope this is something that could be added in the future to make the experience even better! read more

I've been getting Gel X extensions for a while, and this is by far the best salon that I've ever tried. The staff are professional and accommodating, extremely creative, and the quality of the application lasts SO long (no lifting or chipping, I have to get them swapped out for length before the nails truly need to be replaced). They always have availability, are flexible when I need to reschedule, and keep the shop clean and super inviting (snacks and water are also offered for long sessions). My last set was done by Crystal (black marbled set), she's incredibly talented and gave me exactly what I was looking for. But I have had a different nail artist every time and they've all done amazing work, especially since I request custom art every time. Can't recommend the team at Flora Blanc enough. read more

I've been coming here every month for the past 8 months, and it started off great but unfortunately the experience has gotten worse each time. They're consistently running late and a manicure/pedicure combo ends up taking over 2 hours. The last two times, my gel nails chipped within the first 5 days. I got my nails done 12 days ago and 5 nails are already chipped. Last time I asked to have them fixed, I had to wait two extra days because they didn't have availability. For the time and price, the quality and service just haven't been consistent. read more

This place was great when it first opened. But it has quickly gone downhill. Last 2-3x have not been ideal service. Had an apt. Today started 20mins late and service was rushed with no care from the tech. No water offered as previously done. Gel is very faint and needed 2 more coats but no way she was going to put that effort in. No massage and was just trying to finish asap. Will not be back. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I came in with my daughter for manicures and pedicures on a Sunday--mine was a gel manicure, and hers was regular polish. Ironically, her nails lasted and looked great, while my gel manicure started chipping within just a few days. I called the salon the following weekend to have it fixed, and they scheduled me to come back. When I arrived, I had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment time before anyone even started. They removed the gel polish, applied only clear polish, and then charged me $40 for what they called a "manicure." Not only did they refuse to stand behind the original gel manicure that barely lasted, but they also charged me again to fix their poor work. I asked twice to speak with a supervisor and was told she wasn't available--even though it was obvious the front desk staff was communicating with her. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Poor quality, poor customer service, and no accountability. Do NOT recommend. read more

Checked out this new business over Labor Day weekend. It's a little tucked away, but we had no problem finding it. Omgg, the vibe is so elegant and chic. Took a photo of the cutest coffee bar! We book 2 appts and both of our technicians were cheerful and gentle. Started working on us right away. The hand and feet massage were soooo nice and relaxing. The new massage chairs were awesome too. Haha. We did not want to leave! I asked for simple French mani and pedi while my niece got fake nails. She showed the technician a photo from tik tok, and the technician replicated it beautifully. Overall, love the ambiance and vibe. Will definitely be back! read more

Went into Flora Blanc Nails yesterday and the staff is so sweet and very caring! It is such a great nail salon, very clean, and overall a beautiful spot...however the only thing I will have to say is never get a manicure! Always go for gel nails. My nails less than 3hrs of my appointment, looked trashed! I sat in the seat for over 20mins for them to dry and it did...but hours later they looked lumpy, dull, and it got destroyed because they put 4 layers of polish on it, with a not so great top coat! Along with this being said, my nail tech asked if I wanted a massage, when it's supposed to be included, I noticed she was trying to rush things because someone else was waiting(which totally botched my appointment and experiance). I declined since I noticed she was rushing, and then after that I realized before she was prepping my nails to be painted she did not clip my cuticles (although I didn't have much, but around my fingers their are some areas of skin that could have been cleaned up). Aside from that this is a nice spot to go to, just get the Gel Nails...never a regular manicure! read more

I hate writing this because I really wanted this salon to meet and exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, it did neither, even after giving it three chances. Aesthetically, the salon is super cute and has a relaxing atmosphere, this was the main reason I was willing to give it another shot after my initial disappointment. However, today's experience confirmed I won't be returning. Long story short, I had an appointment scheduled for me and my daughter at 3:30 PM. At 2 PM, the salon called to inform me they were behind and asked if we could reschedule for 4:30 PM. While not ideal, I agreed. We arrived at 4:20, and at 4:30, the receptionist told us they were running another 20 minutes behind. Frustrated but still patient, we waited. When 20 minutes came and went, and over 30 minutes had passed, I finally asked for an update. The receptionist hesitantly asked a nail technician, who casually replied "soon," with no sense of urgency. I asked if there would even be two technicians available for both my daughter and me, and the receptionist was visibly uncomfortable asking her co workers and just said she didn't know. It became clear that one of us might get started in another 10-15 minutes (45 minutes past our appointment time), but the other likely wouldn't. This lack of coordination mirrors my previous visit, where I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment to be seen. The women doing nails showed no sense of care or obligation, this was disappointing. I would have appreciated and even accepted a glance and gesture of apology, which I did not get. They moved without urgency and seemed unconcerned about keeping us waiting. Sadly, it appears they don't value their customers' time or their business. As a fairly new salon, you would expect them to prioritize running efficiently and courteously. Even my 13-year-old daughter noticed their lack of care, remarking on how indifferent they seemed despite us being polite and patient. The final straw was realizing no genuine effort was being made to uphold the appointment time they agreed to, leaving us disappointed and unwilling to return. read more

My first impression of Flora Blanc Nail Salon was that it had a stunning and beautiful aesthetic, which created high expectations for my visit. However, my experience was unfortunately not as positive as I had hoped due to some issues with customer service from the nail technicians. While the receptionist was delightful and welcoming, my technician and my sister's technician did not seem to engage with us as we anticipated. For instance, my sister's technician unintentionally scraped her skin, and there was no follow-up or acknowledgment of that incident, which would have helped us feel more cared for. In my case, my technician appeared hesitant to perform my pedicure and even suggested switching with my sister's technician, which felt quite unprofessional. The results of my pedicure left me feeling uneven and dissatisfied. I wanted to share my concerns with the receptionist, but I hesitated since the technicians were so close by. I genuinely wish to give this salon another opportunity in the future because I believe it has potential. However, the experience did not justify the drive from South Bay. I hope that this feedback can be taken constructively and lead to improvements in customer service. Good service deserves recognition through tips, and unfortunately, we didn't feel it was warranted this time. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if my technician had ensured I was comfortable. (Unfortunately, I have to put on my own flip-flops because my technician just left them on the chair while she went on her break and didn't return. She was not very pleasant in her messages and provided rough service overall. It was clear that both she and my sister's technician didn't want to be there.) I believe that all staff members should strive to create a positive and welcoming environment, as it makes a significant difference in the customer experience. What happened to Tracy? The conversation among the techs is unprofessional. That technician should have more courtesy and class. Sorry, Flora Blanc Nail. I hope you find better technicians. read more

Flora Blanc is truly exceptional and easily my favorite nail salon in Encinitas. I'm more than willing to travel to come here because the experience is consistently excellent from start to finish. The salon itself feels calm and welcoming, and it actually smells clean and pleasant -- a detail that makes a big difference. What stands out most is the reliability of the quality. Every visit is unhurried and attentive, and my nails always look beautiful and last. There's a level of care and consistency here that's hard to find. I made an appointment for the next day. You will want to do this as they take care of each client to the fullest and an appointment is the best way to get in.
