Beautiful vibe and selection! Clint was super helpful in providing plant options and I couldn't be happier with my results.

Just to prove how plant illiterate I am. I have a confession to make - I've never heard of this place before, and I've lived in the Bay Area most of my life. And as we all know, that's a really long time. However, let me bask in my ignorance and delight in finding an unexpected bucolic space. I wasn't even looking for it as I just had lunch for the first time at All Good Pizza (review: https://bit.ly/36gtohl) and strolled down a very industrial-looking block. The nursery is pretty well enclosed from the street, so it was a complete surprise to see 8,000 square feet that almost felt like a park. Naturally they specialize in plants that thrive in the Bay Area, which means there are quite a few palm trees, cacti, and succulents laid out in organized groupings. Some of the plants look downright sculptural like contemporary art pieces. Even the rainbow of patio chairs are decoratively presented on a wall (photo: https://bit.ly/3rNbdbs). A huge galvanized steel structure houses the indoor plants and garden furnishings. I heard there used to be a Ritual Coffee Roasters kiosk, but it has since closed unfortunately. No matter as I'll be back when I get motivated enough to develop a true green thumb. Hell won't be frozen yet. RELATED - Exploring Bayview/Hunters Point? A great place to stop by and enjoy plants and some coffee. Has a good selection of different unique items and though pots are on the more expensive side, still reasonable. Employees weee helpful and answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations. There were little wagons near the front to help wheel out your haul. Fun stop if you're in the area or looking to add some green into your home!

This is the coolest plant store I've ever been to. I came on a Saturday morning and there was a cute coffee cart selling coffee. They have a huge selection of plants and I felt the prices were reasonable. My favorite part of this plant shop was the outdoor piano. I played the only song I know how to play on the piano and it was really fun. I ended up getting a succulent for my apartment!

    $40!! Sunburst.

It's out of my way which is great for the wallet because they have GORGEOUS selections and very reasonable prices (for the most part, some of the more popular items are naturally pricier). I have no idea why someone would say they're overpriced when they have 1-2 gallon size stag for $25. $25!! The service is great, save the one cashier that checked me out that did the bare minimum (but even then I wouldn't say the service sucks), and when he was typing away on his cell in front of me, the other girl nicely asked if I needed help boxing up or anything. So really, 99% of the folks here are nice. The 1% is just a given. No one and nothing is perfect. Anyone giving this place less than 5 is tripping.

    Cool car display

Such a great place to grab a coffee, sit in the garden and pet all the cute dogs that come by. Although they didn't have the succulent I was looking for, the person that helped me was very friendly and knew what they had available. Some of their items were a little pricey but overall a great place to check out.

Relaxing in one of these amazing ceramic/tub chairs.

I had heard it was an experience to visit here, and it sure was. There are so many beautiful things to look at in peaceful spaces. I even heard myself say, "Wow. Look at this bathroom!"

My favorite nursery in the bay, Take my money any day. Words can't describe how much I love this place. Grab a cup of coffee (which they sell) and just take a stroll. Large collection of indoor, outdoor, direct light, indirect light plants. The space is laid out well and as far as nursery's go, fairly priced (this ain't Home Depot). The staff is always available and happy to help, educate, make suggestions. Parking is easy too.

This plant was way bigger. I did propagate a few stems for my family :))

The cool thing about Flora Grubb besides the good selection is the unhelpful clerks and high prices.

Ask the Community - Flora Grubb Gardens

Is the succulent potting station back? They had it before the pandemic and I saw on TikTok it was back since last Nov? True?

Yes, we're so happy to report that the potting station is back! Can't wait to see you.

Do they offer repotting services? If so, what is the cost?

Yes! The service just returned recently. They'll do it for you or let you do it yourself at the potting bench. Prices vary from a couple of dollars on up, depending on the size and who's doing it.

    Are they reopen now?

Closed Monday and Tuesday but yea they are open.

Hi there, do you carry empty, plastic nursery pots? I'm looking for one 6" diameter, 4-5" high...like a plastic azalea pot.

Yes! All sizes from 4" to 15 gallon

Does Flora Grubb Gardens provide a delivery service? If yes, to where?

They suggest you contract with Lugg.

Do you have ming aralia in store?

Hi Prateek, We don't have a Ming Aralia in the store right now, but we have a beautiful Polyscias filicifolia in stock. If you want to learn more, please email us at…

    Is Flora Grubb dog friendly?

    Yes, they are dog friendly.

Do they have a bougainvillea tree?

I didn't see any for sale when I was there.

He took the time to turn different ones on for us so we could really picture them in our space, and he also showed us the color options, which made it much easier to decide. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .
