We celebrated a birthday here and overall it's pretty solid for Marin mall food. The service, however, was disappointing--our server seemed constantly busy and like she could have used more support, which made the experience feel a bit off. We also had an issue with timing--our entrées didn't come out together, even though it was still early and not very busy, which was frustrating for a group meal. I ordered a hazy IPA, which came in a can with a glass of ice and a lime--an unusual presentation. Drinks were good but it was interesting that they don't have beer on tap especially since they have a large bar! Food-wise, we ordered the ceviche along with salsa and chips, and both were really tasty. The tacos are especially yummy and definitely a highlight. They have mole and solid enchiladas. While the food and drinks delivered, the service and a few inconsistencies kept it from being a great experience.

You simply cannot replicate these dishes. (I've tried and I'm not even close.) Everything coming out of that kitchen is on point, consistent and just hella fresh. Hats off to you guys, Bràvo! The staff is real and present and it's just a pleasure to be here. We do happy hour usually and just love the options. My favorite is definitely the Mezcal selection which rotates often and offers flights, etc. Easy... Pick Flores, it won't disappoint.

One mistake I always make, is forgetting about Flores. Throughout the years I randomly pop in, the service is friendly and quick, flavor is consistent and authentic, and the fun times are had. Great esthetically pleasing decor-upscale Mexican. Need to know: HH 3-close Monday AND Tuesday, then 3-6 Wed-Friday (at bar or lounge area which there is plenty of space). They have an extensive HH and range of options + other deals throughout the week, like $2 off Tacos on a Tuesday. Stop by, you won't be disappointed.

Perfect for a relaxed brunch with friends, sharing plates, grabbing guacamole and salsa, and celebrating book launches (Book Passage is somewhat around the corner). I usually skip ordering typical taco and opt for 3 fish seviche (so fresh!), sopas (yummy!) or huevo rancheros if I am especially hungry. This is a fun place to go with a group so you can try a little of everything. Also very dog-friendly, which adds to the vibe. Great stuff and service.

Amazing service thanks to Álvaro! Álvaro, our bartender/server at Flores Restaurant, was absolutely outstanding for our date night He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive throughout our visit. He took the time to explain the menu and made excellent recommendations that were spot on--we loved everything he suggested. His professionalism and warm attitude really elevated the entire experience. Service like his is hard to find, and he truly made our night special. We'll definitely be back and hope to be served by Álvaro again!

We visited around 5pm and the bar was quite lively with many patrons. We selected a booth in the back so we could chat more easily. The menu is not your typical Mexican restaurant in America menu; it has very inspired dishes. For starters, we had the huge serving of guacamole and 3 salsas. We later chose the ceviche and mole poblano. They also have a short menu with just vegan choices including churros.

I suggested Flores for a work lunch today. The burrito was tasty and I think everyone enjoyed their lunch but I was disappointed with presentation. The burrito's arrived double wrapped in foil as if they were to go. That seemed a little odd and not appropriate for a sit down lunch. I also looked forward to a basket of chips and their delicious red salsa, which was not offered. They did have the little wagon wheels on the table and brought extra salsa upon request. The service was a bit reserved, not as outgoing as I recall. I feel complacent now especially since I suggested we dine here. 4 stars would have been too generous of me based on today's experience I'm sorry to report.

I am always impressed with the vegan and vegetarian dishes here! Tonight we had the vegan 3 Tacos Plate (beyond sausage-potato, mushroom and nopales al pastor, avocado and slaw) and the Enchiladas Vegetarianas (mushrooms al pastor and nopales). In the past, we have also loved the Ceviche de Hongos (king oyster mushrooms, avocado, cherry tomato, burnt tomato agua de chile, crispy corn) and Chile Relleno (poblano pepper stuffed with queso oaxaca, mushrooms & kale, topped with spicy salsa ranchera, avocado, crema, rice). Thanks for making eating vegetables and plant-based food so flavorful and elegant, Flores team!

Updating my original review as we had a most redeeming and amazing dining experience at Flores! My husband and I had dinner here last night, and it was the dining experience we needed. We ordered off of their Vegano Menu, which has some seriously impressive culinary delights! Everything was superb. The service was fast and impeccable. The ambiance was great. The quality and taste of the food were beyond drool worthy. The drinks were beautiful, and just strong enough. Big thanks to the manager Jordan, for his warm and personable attention. We will definitely be dining here on many more date nights!

Best plantains ever! This was our fourth visit to Flores and we were sad we never ordered their plaintains until now. They were perfectly carmelized and delicious. We also ordered the parrillas mixta for 2 which was a generous portion for 2. Everything was cooked well, but the steak was a little gamey and perhaps not very fresh. We ended the meal with delicious tres leches which was also a generous portion to share. Finally, service was prompt and tables were cleared in a timely manner.

We came in around 6pm and sat at the bar. Our server came over right away, was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. The aesthetic inside reminds me of beachside Tulum. We ordered the chicken tacos plate with beans, salsa and spicy veggies, the flautas de chorizo, and sopes de frijoles with avocado and lettuce. We paired it with the habiscus agua fresca. Delicious all around. Great spot.

Flores Corte Madera Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Flores Corte Madera

Is happy hour in the bar only or can you get the specials when dining as well?

    Are reservations needed?

No, they aren't "needed." I've gone before as a walk-in- But always better to have reservations ! You can make them on the Open Table app.

    Are they pet friendly here?

Yes but for outdoor dining only.

    Is the to-go packaging sustainable?

Yes, the majority of our to go containers, including utensils and bags, are certified compostable. We only use plastic containers on certain items, such as for very hot items or soup.

    Is there Mariachi during dinner?

    No unfortunately...

Where is the outdoor seating and can I bring my dog there?

There is a small outdoor patio and while we were dining inside we watched several people carry small dogs in or out of the patio. Don't know the policy regarding larger dogs as the patio entrance is through the dining area.

Do they have food to go?

Yes! And it's awesome to go as well.

She was super accommodating and attentive without being overbearing. Once we told her what we liked, she immediately knew what to recommend and guided us through the menu perfectly. You can tell she knows her stuff. We came specifically for happy hour (we're definitely HH aficionados) and made it our mission to try everything on the menu. While the chips & dip were good, they're something you can find elsewhere, so not necessarily a standout. Everything else, though? OUTSTANDING! The hummus, whipped feta, and muhamarra were next-level--easily some of the best we've had. The CN burger sliders were also a hit--we had one each and they were so yummy that next time my husband is already planning on getting two. The drinks were on point. The espresso martinis absolutely fueled our afternoon in the best way, and we also tried the creamsicle cocktail and the shrimp Za'atar from the regular menu--both were super delicious in their own way. The ambiance was great, and the bartender was clearly on top of things, which always adds to the overall vibe. One thing worth noting: happy hour is now only offered Monday-Thursday, but Sydney was kind enough to honor it for us on Saturday since the website hadn't been updated yet. That level of service really sealed the deal for us. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish--great food, great drinks, and even better service. Easy five stars.

I honestly didn't realize how much I'd enjoy playing pinball until coming here--there aren't many spots that have that kind of unique feature anymore, and it really added to the experience. I went for a Yelp Elite event, and it was great. The owner was there and super welcoming, and his staff were genuinely nice and attentive. We were given bracelets that gave us access to two drinks, which was a fun self-pour experience. That said, it would've been helpful to get a quick tip on pouring (like tilting your glass) beforehand--foam can sneak up on you fast , especially with so many people around. Because it was busy, we were also given a card that allowed unlimited access to the games, which was awesome and made the night even better. I definitely enjoyed my time here. The owner also mentioned that you can rent individual tables or even the whole venue for events, which is something I'd absolutely consider in the future. I'll definitely be back.

They had huge tvs playing sports which entertained the kiddo quite a bit. Breakfast Bravas ($19): The crispy potato coins + pork + runny egg + avocado + chipotle cream = elite combo!!! Stateroom Burger ($20): Cheese is not included and is an extra $2 (???). It was stacked though and hubby could only eat half before he was stuffed! I will absolutely be back for the bottomless mimosas ($25) and I'm curious about the dirty iced chi tea ($14). My daughter also loved all the magnets on the fence in their mini play area :)

This place my third space. My second home. Great exceptional staff and management. Annika, Anthony,…read moreMoe, the list goes on. Especially Darian who is literally an OG at this point. Shout out to the back of the house for always delivering exceptional food. Highly recommend any of the west coast IPAs and Northeast specially King CItra and Tigger Uppercut. All their beer is exceptional. They also have wine. And seltzers, refreshing tonics, and non alcoholic beers all stellar. Something for everyone. I've been visiting for maybe 6 years now. I forget when they opened. If it was pre-Covid but it's been such a dream. Their kitchen is very good.

Fieldstone Brewery got off to a rough start, but I'm glad I stuck it out…read more I stopped in for a late lunch, and the first problem was just finding the place. It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.
