WOW! So my wife and I tried Flori Brunch in South Gate this morning! Highly Recommend! Prime Tasajo with Eggs = Chilaquiles Verdes with Prim Tasajo and Eggs = Mexican Mocha Latte = Banana Bread Latte = Ambience was perfect for a Brunch spot! Excellent music! Thank you Yusvel for the great and friendly Service! *This is not a paid Review or Promotion! These are my personal thoughts based on my own experience! Flori Brunch was such a pleasant surprise for South LA. I stopped by while running errands nearby and ended up really enjoying the experience. The space is small but very cozy and well done, with indoor seating, a nice bar-style counter area to sit and eat, plus outdoor patio seating facing the street if you want some fresh air. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were surprisingly generous. I had the crème brûlée French toast and another dish that was like an omelette with a chile relleno inside, both were absolutely delicious. Their coffee selection was also really good. It's nice to see more brunch/café spots like this in the area. Definitely worth checking out if you're nearby

Flori Brunch just opened up in South Gate and we were there for soft opening. As you walk in, they got beautiful floral decor (make it great for pictures), good amount of sitting, and looks pretty trendy. Service is great. We were seated right away, order was taken in right amount of time and food and drinks came out in timely manner. Menu is super appealing, and we ended up ordering bunch of different food to try. We tried: Banana Bread Latte and Flori Dirty Matcha: Both were made at perfect temperature. Very flavorful and they were able to make it less sweet. Pop tarts: One with birria and other with chilli relleno. Both were delicious. The pop tart concept was pretty cool. Poached eggs and sauce on top of it made it taste delicious. Chicken and Waffles: Super tender and crispy from the outside! They got it right. Omelette: Their omelette was delicious. Super fluffy from the inside. Their potatoes and salsa are to the point. Everything was paired perfectly. For dessert we tried French toast: This was absolutely amazing. Their bread was to die for. And that mountain full of whipped cream - super tasty. Highly recommend (but you will need few people to finish it) We met the chef and they had off the menu caviar and truffle avocado toast - they absolutely delivered on this one. They went above and beyond on this dish with all extra goodies on it. Overall, we had great time trying food on their menu and I can tell this place is going to be popping over the weekend. We will be coming back to try other dishes on their menu. Highly recommended this place.

This place is a hidden gem in South Gate! Traveled here to have a brunch date with girlfriends and other than the wait time due to its popularity - once we sat down- the customer service , food and ambiance were top notch! The food came out fast , portions were nice and drinks were so pretty! Will be back soon!

Pros and cons to everything and in this case I will be sharing that .. parking is pretty good bcs they have a public parking lot right behind the restaurant. This restaurant is small so if you drive fast you might miss it. Eventhough they don't take reservations, I still went ahead and suggested to my group of girlfriends. A week before going I did email and ask if we were a group of 6 how many would have to be present in order for us to get sat(someone is always late) and yet I haven't received a response. The place is really cute and when the food came out, it looked amazing like in the TT videos. And honestly, I will be back bcs of the cafe de olla French toast. I ordered it for all of us to try at the end of our mean and wow wow that was a hit! I usually don't order that bcs it's usually too sweet so it's a waste, not this time, it is perfectly made, not too sweet, I kept nibbling on it. Our server was great! What I don't understand is how all of our coffees weren't hot, they looked like they were piping hot and then luke warm, odd. She fixed it though. Over all our dishes were ok to good. Food wasn't hot it was just warm...Eggs can be better cooked, several of us asked for egg whites to be cooked with a soft yolk and they came out hard. My tasajo dish was great, again eggs could have been cooked as ordered. Someone got the banana bread drink, and they liked, they said you can taste the coffee and it wasnt too sweet. A few girls got the chilaquiles and they all said the same thing, although they were good, they did get soggy at the bottom. I love me some beans, I'm glad they weren't spicy or had meat in them but they were bland. Our server Yusvel was great. And last but not least, everyone felt it was overpriced.

Had to check out the place did notice the chilaquiles menu was interesting from previous people reviews I did not try them yet Have to say the presentation is phenomenal and very tasty. I honestly thought it would be a 1 in done spot but I'll have to take that back.

Totally recommend this place. The food and the service was really good. Our server Elizabeth was very attentive and sat us in the bar while we wait for a table and brought us water while we looked at the menu, she would always come to check if we were ready to order and kept checking if we were ok. We ordered the chilaquiles verdes the rajas omelette the pork belly the Capirotada French toast, Fresas con crema soufflé pancakes really good perfect not super sweet at all the ambiance was really good nice and cute place to go with the girls or with Family

Okay so this place is new to South Gate and I think they've done a great job at advertising themselves. They've been all over my fyp and the food looks incredible so I had to give it a try. Coffee 6.5/10 We ordered the cafe de olla, banana bread latte, and the Mexican mocha latte. The cafe de olla was delicious...a little sweeter than I've had but still, very very tasty. The other two iced coffees, were unfortunately not my favorite. The banana bread latte had a very subtle banana taste but was very sweet. I didn't really taste the coffee at all. The Mexican mocha was very sweet as well but the coffee did come through a bit more. I'd definitely stick to their cafe de olla or a simpler coffee if you don't want just milk and sugar. Food 8.5/10 So the selling point is their Soufflé pancakes..that's what I've been seeing all over my social media and we tried them. We ordered the fresas con crema pancakes and we were very disappointed. These are not at all soufflé pancakes. They're not light or airy. These have more of a cake consistency. The toppings and whipped cream was good and overall, it's tasty, but they're not exactly what they're being marketed as. We also ordered the Flori Breakfast Plate that had 2 eggs, maple bacon, house potatoes and side of fruit. This was good! The bacon is thick! Potatoes are very well seasoned. The last item we ordered was the steak and eggs burrito. This came with Eggs, Pico De Gallo, Rice, Beans, Steak, Roasted Green Salsa, Guacamole, Crema, and Monterey Jack. Very good and a pretty decent size! We were def full from this. I think the food items are good and tasty. The table next to us ordered the chilaquiles and they looked stacked! I definitely would come back to try other items but wouldn't order the soufflé pancakes again. Those, I think are hyped and not at all good. I do think it's a good place to eat BUT def. not worth the hours wait I've been reading some people have waited. Maybe I'd wait 30ish minutes but definitely not 1-4 hours. Vibes/Ambiance : 8.5/10 We came on a Saturday morning right when they opened at 8am and we waited maybe 5 min to be seated. There were already 2 parties ahead of us. The space itself is very cutesy. Decorated just as you'd imagine a brunch spot to be. I do wish there was music? Some type of hype vibe...but that's definitely a personal preference. They do have a "bar" area outside but you're exposed to everyone waiting in line. The service was good. Our server was friendly. By the time we left, there were a lot of people outside waiting. I overheard someone say the wait time was already an hour and it was barely 9:10am. Definitely get here early if you don't want to wait..and if you get there and the wait time is already over an hour...save your time and come early some other day lol Oh and there's plenty of parking! That's a huge plus! Overall it's a tasty restaurant and I'm happy to see new options open up in SELA! We've always had to drive to other cities for things such as brunch so I definitely see potential here.

Blueberry Crème brûlée, no need for that warm syrup, unless you want it sweet! It was a perfect balance & not overly sweet.

Ambiance was amazing! The set up is ready to go for all the IG pics! Service was amazing, the seating host was friendly, welcoming & gave us options as to where to sit. Now for the food, my eggs were cooked perfectly, seasoned well & that sweet twang on that thick cut bacon was amazing! They give you a small personal size salsa bowl with the tiny spoon The toast & sweetened melted butter was delicious as well. Now for the main event, the blueberry crème brulee!!! OMG, that thing left me speechless! I had to ask my friend for a moment of silence so I could really enjoy that 2nd bite! That thing is a meal in itself. A thick slice, perfectly cooked, sweetened & not dry at all. We will definitely be back to try other dishes! Thanks for the amazing service & food suggestion! Well see you soon!

I love supporting new local businesses and when Flori Brunch popped up on my Instagram reels, I knew I had to visit soon. We visited on a Sunday morning around 8:30am and there was a few people waiting outside to be seated. We were seated about 25 mins later. We ordered the Chilaquiles with tasajo, lemon marshmallow soufflé pancakes and the tasajo with eggs. Everything was delicious. The only thing we were not fans of was the cafe de olla, it had too much piloncillo for our preference. We can't wait to go back and try other menu items.

The panini was my favorite, i was so crunchy on the outside but the inner bread was somewhat soft and the inner chicken was amazing. I got their hazelnut coffee latte with oatmilk and out of several coffee shops ive had, I have not tasted anything like this. The flavor was a good blend of sweet and coffee bean savory. It was really great, I was surprised. Service was outstanding, the owner was super welcoming and sweet. It felt like a cozy little nook at home. They advertise chisme in form of little post it notes but you can't actually write any chisme in yourself. They might have run out of post it notes but who knows. I will say, the cafe de olla is very spice forward. I taste a lot of cloves and star anise. A bit different than others I've had but I really liked it. The mex mocha was smooth and rich. I did see that their slushies are highly rated and now that it's getting hot, we'll def be back to try them! Food 10/10 They don't have food items on their menu but there are baked goods! We ordered a cream croissant looking muffin and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were warmed up and were absolutely delicious. Vibes/Ambiance : 10/10 We came on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. There were people working there as they have free wifi and outlets. The decor and vibe is cute! They have art on the walls, pictures, plants, community flyers/events, and statements that make you feel safe and at home. The staff is so friendly and welcoming too! There is a little parking lot right next to the shop and we didn't find it hard to find a spot. There is a park next door so I can imagine on the weekends, parking might be a bit tricker. Menu is simple with the classics (espresso, americanos, cappuccinos, and lattes) and some speciality coffees like the Ibarra Mex Mocha. Prices are pretty reasonable - especially for the quality. That was a little pricey but the taste was good too. A little heavy on the spices, but I prefer it.
