Chilaquiles verdes /rojos ... rib eye

First time visiting this place with 2 other friends! We came for brunch !! I search for breakfast/ brunch place and after all recommendations from yelp we decided to try this place . Oh my goodness I was amazed how cozy and beautiful this place is . Starting from decorations , different flavors of mimosas and the food , very delicious !! As soon they sat us - we requested mimosas, we started with mimosas then food - chilaquiles divorciados and the rib eye!! Full of flavor and the plate is pretty big. I will say this place is 10000 out of 10. Please try them!!!! You will love it !!

Loved their coffee, waffles and chilaquiles Verdes. Good vibes and excellent photo opportunities for all ages. Service was good, can get a bit busy on weekends but overall worth it. My kids loved it.

we loved the aesthetics. We went on Friday afternoon and it was empty. The food was amazing We were big party and our waiters were patience and friendly!

Excellent food, drinks and service. Our server was a male that was super kind, we came on a Tuesday morning and there was no wait and the food was fairly speedy. Lots of pictures opportunities, especially near the bathroom. Nice spot to take the girlies to brunch. Most spots that are decorated like this usually have poor food, but their food has large portions and good quality. The red chilaquiles were spicy, and the steak was zesty. I loved my side of potatoes, and my pancakes were delicious. So were the eggs and bacon. I think people expect an extreme Latino vibe, which isn't necessarily far from what this place offers but it's also French themed, so keep that in mind. The bathroom was decorated as well, very cute.

The food was great! Great taste and presentation! The service was excellent. Waitress did multiple check ins to see if anything was needed and to see how the food was to our liking. The ambiance was amazing as well. Beatiful decorations and music playing in the background. Not too over stimulating. Definitely recommend the chilaquiles and the coffee flight! Overall an amazing experience and would definitely return!

Very cutesy place inside! Perfect girlie vibes. I got the chilaquiles verdes with steak. The meat had a good flavor & green sauce was good. Friendly staff.

Came on a Sunday so it was a little busy, yet Daniel was able to take care of us. Cute place, perfect for pink lovers! Small location. Coffee was quite good and very cute logo powdered on. As for the food, we had two breakfast omelets I got mine with ham, cheese and spinach and my little sister got the garden omelet with all the veggies side of toast. Parking might be difficult on busy days.

Rating this restaurant was very difficult to do because the spite of their outstanding ambience, so cute and girly perfect for a girls brunch, lunch or even just to get together . I had my tea party here and let's just say it did not disappoint. The service was amazing. The people/staff were very friendly and helpful now the food I'm giving a 6/10 I don't know if it's because of what I ordered, but I was not happy with the food. The enchiladas was very bland. No seasoning at all the ceviche came out sweet which I'm not used to that I'm more used to a spicy type of ceviche. The drinks are also very pretty but not that tasty. I got the mimosa flight which was $35 pretty pricey And of course you can't go wrong with the mimosas so I'll give that a 9/10 but the margaritas a 6/10 it could be the tequila they're using, but it just wasn't my favorite. I've been here twice once when they first open, but I just came for their designer coffee. I would probably come back to try out their breakfast before I completely just say they need a new Chef Lol but overall the tea party was a success. The venue was perfect. I even got other fellow people that were visiting the restaurant to participate in the festivities so let's say it's a nice environment ,Beautiful aesthetic, ambience and great customer service food could be better but it's always room for improvement.

Do they serve halal or kosher meat?

Are there vegan and vegetarian options on the menu?

Hello, I am not sure if they have any vegetarian options. Check out the menu online.

Can you accommodate a party of 10?

Yes, they can but it will be tight.

    Are babies allowed?

There's no specification that states they aren't, but space is limited/tight so I can see it being pretty tight for stroller or carrier.

    Do you take reservations?

No, they don't. I've tried on several occasions. Best you can do is go early and add your name to the list before the rest of your party gets there.

Do they have vegan ice. cream or vegan dessert options?

    None

Rami was super helpful and friendly, going over some of the popular dessert and drink options. Since I came in the evening, a few of the desserts were already gone. The earlier you come, the more dessert options you'll have. They also have all day breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu which I did not try, but everything looked super tasty. I got a few desserts and a matcha strawberry foam latte (they use ceremonial grade matcha) and the biscoff latte. Loved that both weren't overly sweet and the biscoff latte had a rich coffee taste. My favorite dessert by far was the banana mousse. By the time we left, the line was out the door. Even though it was packed, the servers are super friendly and take the time to make sure you're enjoying yourself. Definitely a must try place if you're in Downey. No need to go to LA to try those over hyped dessert places. One Twelve Cafe does it just as good, if not better and they have many more tasty options to choose from.

Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.

The moment I took my first bite, I immediately noticed that the ricotta tasted sour and spoiled. I drove back to the restaurant to request a refund. Unfortunately, my refund was not honored because the manager, Aimee, was not present. Karely, the lead on duty, seemed unsure of how to handle the situation and attempted to explain that the sour taste was simply the lemon in the ricotta. That explanation was disappointing because there is a clear difference between the intended lemon flavor and the taste of spoiled dairy. What upset me most was the lack of concern, apology, or effort to make the situation right. As a customer, I expected the issue to be taken seriously, especially when food safety is involved. If a manager is unavailable, staff should be properly trained and empowered to handle customer concerns appropriately. I am currently four months pregnant, which made this experience even more concerning. I wasted my time, gas, and energy driving back to the restaurant, only to leave without a refund or any resolution. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in Downey, and unfortunately, I will not be returning.

The decor and ambiance make it a great place for celebrating a special occasion. I made reservations for my birthday dinner with a party of eight. I brought my own cake, and the staff was kind enough to store it in their refrigerator until we were ready for dessert, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the service was where the experience fell apart. Since gratuity is automatically added for larger parties, it felt like there was very little sense of urgency or attentiveness throughout the evening. It took quite a while for our drink orders to be taken and served. Our food also came out at different times, with some side dishes arriving well after the entrées had already been served. The only explanation we received came later when a supervisor personally brought out the missing sides and apologized, explaining there had been a delay because they had to prepare a fresh batch of rice. While I appreciated the communication, it would have been helpful if someone had updated us sooner. During the meal, our server was changed, and we hoped the service would improve, but unfortunately, the experience remained the same. The food and drinks were beautifully presented, but the flavors didn't quite live up to how impressive everything looked. My rating is based primarily on the food, but if I were rating the service alone, it would be one star. Considering it was a Sunday and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, the slow service was especially disappointing. Sadly, this wasn't the birthday dinner experience I was hoping for, and I don't plan on returning.
