They advertise chisme in form of little post it notes but you can't actually write any chisme in yourself. They might have run out of post it notes but who knows. The coffee shop was pretty and low lit which I appreciate but it was very small and felt kind of cluttered. They have outdoor seating tho. Paid $18.58 just to toss my coffee in the trash.... Im a bit of a coffee snob so please take this review with a grain of salt.

After walking in I was welcomed and greeted with positive energy from 2 young ladies who I forgot their names but we'll just call them "A" and "C" lol. A guy to my right was sitting next to the window working on his laptop. And two others against the wall sipping their coffees and doing whatever on their phones. A customer was at the register ordering while another customer walked in to stand in line behind me. I let her go in front of me while I took pics and recorded footage. I like the atmosphere and space a lot. It has a very nice decor. Artwork, pictures and murals with history displayed along the walls. Grab and cold drinks available for purchase. Nice music playing that wasn't too loud but just right to complement a chill coffee shop vibe. "A" was friendly and patient as shared with her this was my first visit. As I browsed thru the coffee menu before making my selection I noticed more costumes coming in. I ordered a medium sized Americano which is $3.75 but I requested to add some hazelnut creamer as well as some almond milk which totaled out to $4.75 which was quite exceptional to me. Giving the location, the quality of service and the quality of the coffee. Not to mention to overall experience. I even thru in a $1 tip. I support the business and love the space. It feels welcoming and safe. The restroom was clean. They also have many different events held there. If you're ever in the area definitely pull up and check em' out. It's black owned as well. I actually ended up sitting there in the lot sipping my coffee while working on my video to post on social media. The coffee was good and tasteful. Didn't need any sugar. Great vibes and great coffee. You can even go the park right next door and get your steps in or just chill. I definitely recommend coming here. If you're passing thru the area or coming to the city, do yourself a favor and pull up. Check em' out. Grab you a coffee or something. Prices are reasonable and the community is welcoming to all individuals.

My wife and I made the 15-minute drive from Downey to South Gate on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, to try Flori Brunch, and we're glad we did. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our server, Karla, who quickly seated us at a cozy table in the center of the restaurant. Her friendly personality and excellent customer service set the tone for a wonderful breakfast. We started with drinks, each ordering a Café de Olla. At first, we found it much sweeter than we prefer. Karla immediately offered a great solution by mixing it with regular black coffee, and it was the perfect fix. The result was a rich, flavorful cup of coffee that we both thoroughly enjoyed. Her attentiveness made all the difference. For breakfast, my wife ordered the Flori Green Goddess Toast, while I chose the Rajas con Queso Omelette, served with the house potatoes. The omelette was outstanding, made with fresh ingredients that blended together beautifully. The house potatoes were crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked, and honestly some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had--and that's saying something because I absolutely love potatoes. My wife enjoyed her Green Goddess Toast as well. She thought it was delicious, although a little spicier than expected. Karla suggested ordering the salsa on the side next time, which was an excellent recommendation. The salsa itself was delicious, and having it on the side would allow the flavors to shine without adding too much heat. My wife also complimented the salad, noting how fresh, crisp, and flavorful it was. To finish our meal, we shared the Café de Olla Tiramisu French Toast. It was delicious and a unique dessert-style breakfast item. The only downside was the price, which seemed a bit high compared to the rest of the menu. Fortunately, the rest of the menu was very fairly priced considering the quality and freshness of the food. Overall, Flori Brunch delivered an excellent dining experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service from Karla was exceptional, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Great food. Great service. Fair prices. We'll definitely be back--and next time, we'll remember to ask for the salsa on the side! read more

I hate leaving negative reviews but our experience with our server Karla really took away from our experience. I even drove about an hour from Pasadena to come here so I was really looking forward to it. From the start her tone was rude and dismissive, she barely acknowledged us and made us feel like an inconvenience. Overall we felt rushed the entire time like she was trying to get us out as quickly as possible. On top of that, she forgot to bring us utensils, so our food was just sitting there getting cold while we waited about five minutes until another server kindly stepped in to help. The food itself was actually good, which makes it even more disappointing that the service didn't match unfortunately because of how we were treated it affected the overall experience. If I were to return, I would definitely ask for a different server. read more

We understand they're a new restaurant getting into their rhythm so we went with no expectations and we're actually blown away by the food. My nine-year-old ordered the steak and eggs and loved it. She specifically said it was well seasoned (which says a lot because kids will tell you the truth real quick ). I ordered the same matcha soufflé pancake mentioned in the 1-star review and it was actually my favorite thing we tried ....light, fluffy, and definitely a must-have in my opinion. Me and my family go out for breakfast every Sunday, and I was hesitant to recommend this place, because I'm afraid of change, but once I had that first bite, was super glad we came! The interior is soft and curated. think warm wood tables, floral walls, and those little white tulips they style every plate around. Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the casual, relaxed atmosphere.
