The entire vibe of the place was great! There was a lot of parking around the lot where the plaza is located. In terms of the sunshine mango mousse, I would rate it a 7/10. Tasted like mango, but felt like it was missing something. Still enjoyable regardless, and was very pretty to look at! The Matcha Blue Latte is made of spirulina, so no actual matcha taste there, but still earthy due to the spirulina. The vanilla foam added some sweetness which was nice. The Strawberry Matcha was recommended to us since it is their best seller, and that tasted decent. Compared to other places like in Ktown in LA or Garden Grove in OC, I feel the matcha taste isn't as strong or vibrant green in color, but it still tasted like a nice sweet treat after a long day! read more

So I had to come see what all the commotion was about I came on a Friday morning and it was actually pretty packed -- I guess a lot of people called out that day I ended up trying their banana matcha and I absolutely loved it! Came to One Twelve Caffe for the first time after I found the location on Yelp. The caffe is a cute meet up spot for brunch. They have a good pastry selection along with food and drinks. The service was excellent and young lady at the register provided recommendations. I ordered the breakfast burrito that comes with chipotle sauce and jalapeños inside but ordered them on the side. TikTok videos failed me once again on another viral "must try". We were in Downey and decided to try this for some coffee and dessert. I had the best seller biscoff Cookie iced coffee. It was okay. Thank you Bryan for being so helpful and answering all of my group's questions. I was able to try a lot of different menu items and I couldn't tell you one I didn't like. I thought the panini was delicious as well as their pesto pasta. The pesto sauce was soo good. I would come back just for the pasta. Plus those drinks are super cute and you can choose the milk of your choice. I like all the different options they have. I love this place have gone many times! The food and drinks are great but my friends and I keep going back because it's baby and dog friendly. They have high chairs for the babes and an open outside area for the doggos. Tables are hard to get on weekends since they are first come first serve but we usually get one. VIBES!!!! I learned of this place while I was dining next door. Decided to visit and boy was I was impressed. Walking in it Deor is super sexy. The color scheme gives Tiffany's vibes. Tried the new breakfast spot at Downey Landing. The place looks great and is very Instagram-able, but the food didn't quite deliver. I ordered the chicken bowl and it had a lot going on but surprisingly very little flavor. Needed Tabasco just to wake it up. We also tried a few pastries: Mango - 10/10 (best thing we had) Banana - 5/10 Lemon - 2/10 Biscoff cheesecake - 10/10 Total came out to $105 for 2 plates, 4 pastries, and 1 coffee. Not shocking for LA, but still steep for what we got. Honestly, I probably would've been happier with a breakfast burrito from a local mom-and-pop spot. It literally looks like a mango and the inside mimicked like the mango itself. There is an actual mango in there covered in the mouse and it was absolutely delectable. Banana Mousse - 4.5/5 this was one of the cutest desserts I've had!!! Shaped like a tiny banana and the inside definitely tasted like banana flavored pudding but not too artificial. Strawberry matcha - 5/5 I will say the option of macadamia milk elevates this so much better. Typically at other cafe or tea shops I would choose almond, but this takes it to another level. I ordered the Cinnamon Oat Latte with oat milk and the Breakfast Crepe with no tomatoes. So let's start with the decor: amazing and welcoming, worth a selfie photo (Aesthetics). The music was 5/5, hands down such a good mix. The water station, with a mix of fruits, gives a refreshing taste. The Breakfast Crepe, however, gets 1/5; it had no flavor (it tasted like a plain scrambled egg). I had to ask for salt and pepper, and there was not enough béchamel sauce, or it had none at all. Upon walking in there is a lot of outdoor seating with limited indoor seating. They have a wide selection of food, drinks and pastures which all looked so good! The cashier was very friendly. But it's walking up to the counter to his big smile and super helpful explanation that really makes your day. I used to work in hospitality and some big restaurants or hoteliers don't hold a candle to how friendly this place is. Got the biscoff mousse at a buy-1-get-1 and it's so delicious. Biscoff lovers will love this one. There are tons of other pastries to choose from, many of them mousse or cake-based, so I can't imagine how long it takes to make all these not to mention the amount of different ingredients needed for sourcing AND managing the hot kitchen orders in the same place. They're very busy on a random Thursday at lunch hour and that tells you everything you need to know. It took three minutes and 30 seconds to reach the counter. Staff is welcoming, charming, and helpful. Staff eagerly shared detailed recommendations when prompted. My order took five minutes. Fair time. As mentioned, I appreciated the Cinnamon Oat Latte ($6 - Hot). This coffee arrived thin and foamy. It's not too sweet nor too bitter. Rather, the brew felt good quality. Its roasted sweetness reminded me of dark chocolate. However, this liquid is slightly coarse, as it brushed against the throat. Thankfully, the aroma and flavor is fairly pleasant. Regarding ambiance, One Twelve Caffe's (Downey) audio felt like a Brunch Nightclub hybrid. It's very loud and crowded. However, there's also utility. There's customer internet with password; its details hang on the plastic frame near the counter. There's also about five electrical outlets under the plush seating. If you are going to see a movie at Cinemark Downey or plan on shopping at the Promenade at Downey, then this is a very cute and delicious place to have brunch. - Dubai Chocolate Latte $8.5 +tax (I asked for 50% sweetness and it was the right amount for me) - Mangoberry Refresher $5.5 +tax - Short Rib Benedict - $26 +tax Tender braised short rib, poached egg, spinach, hollandaise, with extra crispy breakfast potatoes, cherry tomatoes, red onion. Very tender and the poached eggs were perfection. Balanced flavors. (FYI, they stop serving the breakfast benedicts after 2pm.) - Chicken Pesto Pasta - $28 +tax Sauteed chicken, pesto sauce, creamy alfredo sauce, penne pasta, parmesan crostini. My son really enjoyed his pasta and felt sauce was creamy and tasty. - Biscoff Cookie Butter & Bananas Crepe - $17 +tax This was our favorite way to finish the meal. We chose the sweet crepe as our dessert. The biscoff cookie crumble gave it the right amount of crunch and buttery sweetness and the freshly sliced bananas gave it both sweet but slightly sour undertones. Both drinks can come with custom latte art. I got mine with Mickey Mouse and my son got his refresher with the face if LeBron James. We chose from their iPad, but you can also send them your own pic you want. Ambience - vaulted ceilings with bright modern decor. They have an outdoor patio that they share with the Mediterranean restaurant next door. They were really busy on the Friday we went (black Friday, 11/27/25 around 1:30pm) so food took a while but it was hot and delicious when it came out. You can order at the counter or take a menu to your table and flag down a server to take your order (which might take longer in weekends when they are the busiest). We loved our server, Jasmine, who was very knowledgeable and very helpful with suggestions when we had trouble deciding. She was patient, polite, and had delightful energy. She even gave me a demo of "Tom", the robotic arm barista, who made me a strong shot of expresso. (He works! He's just slower than the real baristas so they don't use him during busy hours, like the weekends.) I recommend trying this place out if you are in Downey. Items are on par with other brunch places with similar ingredients, and the portion sizes are full and filling and hit the spot for brunch. read more
