I have purchased many, many plants, veggies, herbs, annuals, shrubs and several trees from Tropic Decor over the years. Their market selection is seasonal to our growing climate, offering healthy and popular plants, annuals, herbs, veggies and shrubs from week to week. If you are looking for something in particular, just ask. When I was searching, I was directed to the office number who advised if the plants I wanted would be available at the next market. Happily, they were. When we purchased 2 large magnolias, their staff delivered and installed the large and cumbersome trees for a very reasonable fee. The work was done quickly and the trees looks great years later. Whenever I purchase something I'd like a few tips on, most recently the Red Robin tomatoes, I seek out the advise of one of the 2 older gentleman. They always have a smile and some great growing advice from their years of farming and growing in the Central FL climate. In this case, I'll happily keep those Red Robins in a pot and very well watered. At the market they take cash, or a check for large (tree) purchases.

Initially I contacted SHINEDECK for a quote on pavers installation for a small patio outside my sliding glass doors. Prior to the appointment, I revisited the website and noticed that they also do all kinds of other things, and all of the projects I wanted to do were included in their scope of services. Long story short, I had them install the pavers patio, seal all my new and existing pavers, lay down artificial grass for the side yard, put up a 6ft. solid vinyl fence around the artificial grass, put up a retaining wall, put up a white picket fence for the front yard, and install gutters! I was a little disappointed when I was told that they wouldn't get to my projects for at least 2-3 months, but I was elated when I was notified that they would be starting after only 4 weeks. They got everything done in a week and did an amazing job. They helped my vision for the outdoor space of my new townhouse come to life. Salvador (Sal) did a great job as a sales representative and project manager, providing wonderful solicited advice and keeping me informed along the way all throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend SHINEDECK to anybody with outdoor project needs.

When you pay for a new paver installation, you expect the pavers to be properly installed, level, stable, and built to last. Unfortunately, the problems with the installation make me question the quality of the preparation and installation work. Pavers should not be shifting and lifting like this, especially after paying for professional installation. Overall, I expected much better workmanship, communication, and customer service. Based on the condition of the pavers and my experience dealing with the salesperson, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for quality paver installation. Do your research, get multiple estimates, and make sure you understand exactly how the installation will be done before committing. From 10 different estimates from different companies in the area, this company was the most expensive one. I have no idea why. There is no quality. Shifted pavers and weeds everywhere after sealant was applied from the same company. Now I need to look for another company to fix their shitty job!

We first worked with them in early 2021, when we had our entire driveway replaced. They did an…read moreexcellent job. Unfortunately, earlier this year, we determined we needed an entire septic system replaced, which necessitated the removal of a slit of driveway to connect the transmission line to the new tank. We were pretty frustrated having to damage the brand-new driveway. Luckily, we were able to use Accu-Krete again, who worked hard to get the driveway back to normal. They replaced the slit of driveway that was removed, and also fixed some cracks that were a result of the heavy machinery used to install the septic system. The driveway looks good-as-new. We will absolutely use them for any future concrete needs and have already recommended them to family and friends. Family-owned and operated, they were super-responsive and on top of everything. I highly recommend Accu-Krete.

We hired this company to build a patio, front entrance walkway and redo all my plant beds. The…read moretotal amount was over $20K. We hired them because of all the reviews and, after comparing with other companies we thought it was the contractor to hire. Well, I got to say, they did a good job with the brick patio and walkway. Although less than a year with our having some issues with the slope coming into the house instead of against it. I was extremely clear about that. They also created a fireplace with a semi-circular wall with lights. Well, as for the firepit, they failed to leave areas for the air to come in (which is needed to feed the fire), no protection to the brink inside, really hard to create a nice fire anyway. In the design, we have a sitting wall next to the firepit that we opted to include lights. The transformer and installation cost us an additional $1k. The staff didn't bury the cables properly with protective tubing and just barely buried them about 1 in if not underground - just covered with a lot of mulch. At the moment, we are in the process of hiring another professional to redo this was good but all the cables were not properly buried, didn't use protective tubing - we are now in the process to hire another contractor to redo poorly installed lights which we are expecting to pay around $1K more. So, for the bed plants - they brought soil from (who knows where) and introduced torpedo grass. After bringing this to his attention, he said I already had the problem, not true, because never had this issue for 4 years, it just started to happen after work was done. I asked why he didn't put the industrial-grade landscaping plastic and he felt insulted. I was livid. Because once his staff left the job, it was not completed so it took me quite a few phone calls to reach him. He designed and we trusted his advice on this one - he planted a whole bunch of Sago palms (were about $25+ a piece) - we lost over 10 of those within the first 6 months. They were way too young. He also recommended some ornamental grasses for the front and back of the house, they look absolutely awful once they started to grow and take over everything. Three other landscapers told me afterwards, these type of grasses are great to plant around lakes or ponds and not were they were planted. To fix the problem A&R created, we had to spend another $1500.00 a year later to install - industrial grade plastic, replace over 20 plants (the new landscaper charge me a fraction of the cost for the plants - he even said I was over charge for the type of plants), and re-mulch. 3 months later after work was redone, the bed areas look fabulous and no issues with the torpedo grass taken over the areas. Overall - I will not recommend this company - they maybe good doing brick work, but stay away from his landscaping designs. If he really knew the areas, he would not had recommended all the plants not suited for my gardens. BTW - he promised he was going to be onsite for a specific front design, he never showed up, but, be aware, they are great asking you for the installments during the work.

Received the estimate after a day and based on that and some other concerns we had aesthetics wise, we modified our plans and he came out a second time to recalculate. Received that new estimate the next day and we okayed it. He scheduled the delivery date for the day before the work was to begin. He had a discussion with the delivery company and they felt uncomfortable driving the forklift and pallets over our septic system, so they delivered at the street. The workers showed up the next day and finished under five hours. So happy we had it done!
