Frankly, I was appalled at the event I attended for my daughters sorority. Everyone bought a $25 bottle of sweet or semi-sweet wine (that's this wineries specialty), dropped in a straw, and suckled their sippy cups. Their sweet wines are like wine coolers - and what college student doesn't like those? That should give context to the quality of wine and positioning of this space). Their traditional varietals all have sweet or fruit forward notes - Cabs are more like Pinots but lacking the depth and notes of a true spicy, bold cab. Past this, parking is like a festival, down a dirt road about a quarter mile walk from the front door. While I wouldn't return, it's a great place for an event and provides something unique to the area. And obviously the Greek system utilizes as a more sophisticated approach to the bars in Columbia.

One take, after visiting my gma, we drove over to Macon to check out this winery. It was beautiful inside! The women who provided our wine tasting was very knowledgeable and could tell us about each wine as well as the history of the winery. I am a sweet wine person, so I enjoyed (and bought!) Guests cannot be at reception area until 630, so by time everyone is shuttled up there, do dinner, cake, toasts etc, you will be lucky to get 2 hours of music and dance. It has to end at 10pm in spite of the contract stating you get venue to 11pm, that last hours is so YOU can clean it for them since they do NOTHING!!! Bride and Groom suite are on a hill that you get at 3pm, so have hair and make up done before you get there a you get time to change and then go do photos before the ceremony. Not sure why she wont let them have these sooner, no one is using them. Bride will walk down hill that has a gravel path to wedding sight, I just see issues with that, falling down, twisting an ankle, dress being filthy. We tried to work with her, she was very difficult.
