Also, they make their wines very affordable! From $11-$40, everything is in reach! (They do have a $75 reserve Norton on the list as of May 2026.) You can enjoy the restaurant on site, shop alllll the wine accessories, relax on their patio above the hills of vines, play a game of corn hole, and pose for a few photos. Several other couples who arrived around the same time were welcomed immediately, but we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. It was uncomfortable and made us feel overlooked in a way no quest should experience. I can't say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was hard to ignore. Because of the lack of attention, we ended up buying only a few bottles- even though we originally planned to purchase two full cases. We also chose not to buy anything from the stores afterward, which is unusual for us, but the experience at the beginning made it difficult to fully appreciate the visit. For a winery with such a strong reputation, I expected a much more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This was a one- star experience for us, and we won't be returning.

We also participated in 15 through a pay dirt bag. This space is grade for all ages, and they have ample souvenirs. In the gift shop. We even visited the winery across the street. From the moment we stepped inside, our guide Ella was gneiss as can be, sharing tons of history without taking it for granite. The winding passages are truly stalagmite-ic (okay, maybe just stunning!), and exploring the very place that inspired Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn totally rocked our world. It's a cave-in-your-plans kind of attraction--don't skip the gift shop either, it's a gem. We had a sedimentary sort of day just soaking it all in, but honestly, it was ore-inspiring from start to finish. Five out of five stars, we will never chalk this up to a bad experience! I do recommend pants and closed toe shoes if you are on the colder side.

It makes the whole process come together. They also have live music on some weekends and are available as a rental space. My mother is from Marceline, MO (another small town on Hwy 36). One take, after visiting my gma, we drove over to Macon to check out this winery. It was beautiful inside! The women who provided our wine tasting was very knowledgeable and could tell us about each wine as well as the history of the winery. I am a sweet wine person, so I enjoyed (and bought!)
