It puddles for days. That makes me nervous, to say the least, and when the roof started to leak a little over the garage, I looked into building in a little slope, using a foam block process to do same (pricey!), redoing the roof conventionally, doing a rubber membrane roof as if it were a commercial property, or sealing it with a product like silicone, or foam, to make it a monolithic structure. After a lot of research on the net, and calling a couple of manufacturers, I went with silicone: this way, I don't have to worry about the roof for another 10-20 years. Sky Light Roofing is the company in our area that has done the additional training to apply this product- and I went with them. (Although he does conventional roofs too). It's a pressure washing/cleaning, priming, and applying process that takes care do make sure it's done exactly right. When the process was done, Juan had kept my renter totally satisfied, cleaned up every day, was knowledgeable, polite, and honored the date he said he'd show up(rain prevents them from applying this, so we had only one delay). His company is simply top notch. I give out few five stars, but, honestly, unless he did this roof for free, I can't think of any way he could improve!

Investing so much money was anxiety inducing, particularly after reading horror stories about botched jobs and unscrupulous roofers, but I was determined to make a well-informed decision. I spent two months studying roofs, learning about types of materials and construction, reading articles and blogs, and making phone calls--lots of phone calls. I called an engineer. I called the county building department. I called friends. And I called about a dozen roofing companies in the Orlando area (I could probably write an essay about the nonsense I heard from some of these companies). I listened carefully and researched their responses. I read reviews and I read every line in the contracts sent to me by about half of them. I was relentless because this was my kid I was protecting. Happily, my diligence paid off and my daughter now has a quality roof and sparkling new gutters. Robert Bonesteel at Sheegog Contracting was the project manager I worked with. He spent MONTHS speaking with me. I can honestly say that no one has ever worked harder for my business. Through it all, Robert was extremely kind and never once made me feel that my questions were stupid. He explained things clearly and sometimes took over an hour to clarify something. He never pressured me and encouraged me to read and investigate other companies, which I absolutely did.  Sheegog didn't just slap on a roof. They used GAF Timberline HDZ premium shingles. They repaired decking under the leak and addressed other minor issues. The work site was spotless when they left, but Robert wasn't satisfied. He came out with a magnetic detector and scoured the area for stray nails. He answered my questions and pointed out repairs. He sent a wind mitigation expert. I'm immensely grateful for Robert's kindness and his company's excellent work. I noticed an issue with the roof and contacted them on September 1st to get it looked at. It has been two weeks now, and no one has showed up or followed through to check on the problem. The roof work itself was fine, but do not expect reliable customer service if an issue pops up later. I contacted Sheegog September 1st and several calls to them sense and have only had good service from Kathy in their office. Ray a project manager (i believe was his title) contacted me last week and promptly informed me that it is a issue.

Update: Five stars for a company that stands by their work! I called Hinest Abe after the…read morehurricane Debby passed us leaving water in my electric box. I contacted Kyle to ask if there was any possibility the water could have come In Through the roof. He said he would get back to me. Later that morning I contacted the power company to request inspection of the electric meter. Before I heard a response from the power company, Mark from Honest Abe texted me to tell me he was 90 minutes away and was coming to inspect the roof. I told him we could wait until I found out if the meter had a gap that could've let the water in from the side of the house, but he said he wanted to come and check it out and make sure everything was in order. He didn't have to do this, but he came and inspected the roof which was as expected fine. He did find, a nearly half-inch gap around the electric meter, which is where the water came in during the storms. Mark went to the local hardware store bought a sealant, came back and sealed the area around the meter and checked the inside circuit box to make sure that the water was minimal and it was safe. None of this had anything to do with the roof and yet he insisted that it was an easy fix And resolved the problem. This is a quality company who provide a quality service more importantly, if there's even a question about whether there might've been a problem with the roof stand installed, they sent their technician out immediately, and the gentleman solved an unrelated problem. Vee and Kyle performed a 16 point inspection and confirmed a roof replacement was best. Roof replacement happened October 2022. The same month we advised our roof was leaking in the same areas prior to roof replacement. Honest Abe came out to "repair" issue. They came out over 10-13 times to fix this issue since October 2022 - UNRESOLVED!!! Let's fast forward to May 2023 "We Are Still Experiencing SAME Leaks" after a whole roof replacement. Are we as home owners upset, ABSOLUTELY!!! We paid $50,000 / Honest Abe received their money - WHY CANT WE GET A NON LEAKING ROOF???? And they let me out of my contract that isn't the problem they break in the contract by not honoring it and then if I wouldn't sign the new contract at 17,000 and wanted to get another quote, they would not honor that one either it would be 19,000 of course I could go with an attorney and sue them for not honoring the first contract would that be the type of company you want up on your roof by then you are enemies I am trying to help people avoid this happening to you after I signed the contract. I tried to give their card to someone else and they told me they had the same problem. That's when I got back with them and was so Upset look it's a scam but legally it's a contract.

What a nightmare!…read more Century roofing replaced our roof after hurricane Milton, and destroyed our home due to their poor workmanship and complete lack of accountability to repair properly. Our roof was "completed" on January 4, 2025 and immediately started collecting pools of water under the roofing material. We contracted for a modified bitumen flat roof replacement with a hard 3/8" silicone protective coating. That style roof is tightly bonded to the underlying hard material. What they installed, without our knowledge nor consent, was a loose plastic sheeting that was poorly attached at the edges with a thin 3/4" flashing and sealed with acrylic caulking. none of that would have passed a building inspection. Did I mention that they never pulled a permit, as required by law? Well the acrylic caulking melted away on the first warm day (which is almost any day in Florida). Water constantly built up under the cheap plastic roofing material and we could feel waves whenever we walked on it. The expensive silicone coating that was to harden more than concrete within six months, never bonded and crumbled like sand to the touch. Our home interior became unusable for months due to ceiling collapse, water damage and mold. it smelled horrible for months. We reported the problem immediately, and often until October, when we realized that they would never repair it. They had sent people to randomly caulk areas to "fix" the leak, even though it was apparent that the entire seal was faulty and that the materials under the cheap plastic were full of water and mold. One time, the home office sent a crew to replace one piece of underpayment, which they did while completely ignoring that all of the surrounding wood and materials b egg low the plastic were very wet and moldy. The owner himself even came out and declared the roof to be dry and properly installed. we have videos from before and after his visit showing puddles of water below the cheap plastic material. We never once went onto our roof from January until October without feeling those puddles under our feet. Iur flat roof is actually our terrace that we use regular. it was clear that their repairs were never going to fix the problem and our home would remain unusable until we hired someone to replace their work in the flat roof. Both areas of flat roof needed to be completely removed and started from scratch. So we had to pay another roofer to do that. A few days after the owner of Century declared the roof good, the new roofer pulled it up and found 80% of the wood was rotten due to water damage and mold. None of the industry standard methods of sealing the roof had been performed. Just short cut after short cut. We also had to pay another contractor to remediate the water damage and mold throughout the interior of the house that all came from the century roofing installation. We had just redone the interior earlier in the year after hurricane Milton, so everything was good before the horrible roof from century destroyed it. I wish that I could say something positive about Century Roofing, but I had to pay to replace my roof twice plus several thousand dollars more to remediate the damage caused by their poor workmanship and defective construction.

Job took over 4 months to complete, my gutters were less than 2 years old and could not be reset. I will admit that Tadlock finally installed new gutters at their expense but it took weeks! Numerous false promises and all management completely throwing each other under the bus! They were not the cheapest quote I had and would not use them again.
