The woman I spoke to was friendly, informative, & got us scheduled right away. The technician called when he was on his way as promised. The job ended up being more than estimated bc he found a second septic tank that none of us knew about, so I was ok with the increase. I can't expect them to know about something that I was unaware of. After he completed the job, I got a phone call explaining everything that was done as well as the findings & later received a report. The customer service & attention to detail was excellent. I'll definitely use them in the future.

I contracted with…read moreBrownie's Septic & Plumbing (a subsidiary of Wind River Environmental) for a new septic system installation in Orlando, and the entire process was plagued by poor communication and back-office administrative failures. Customer Service & Communication: Trying to reach anyone locally is nearly impossible. Every phone number provided, including local ones, routes back to a centralized main call center. When I requested to speak with the local office directly, I was informed that local office numbers are not provided to customers. Furthermore, scheduling was highly unreliable. My installation was delayed multiple times due to jobs running long and equipment failure. I was never proactively notified about these delays; I had to call them each time to find out why crew members hadn't shown up. Installation Quality: The physical installation required a nitrogen-reducing tank with an electric pump. The initial placement left exposed PVC pipe and plastic tubing completely vulnerable to lawn equipment. To their credit, they did correct this once I pointed it out, but it required my oversight to ensure it was done safely. Billing and Grant Management Issues: This project qualified for an Orange County grant to offset the cost of the advanced system. From day one, I provided the necessary paperwork for them to file directly with the county. Despite this, I began receiving automated bills for the full amount before the job was even completed (while there was still a hole in my yard and before the final county inspection). After paying my agreed-upon portion, I continued to receive invoices for the balance that was supposed to be covered by the grant. I was repeatedly told by customer service that this was just an "automated process" and to ignore it. However, months later, the company has still not completed the administrative requirements to secure the funds from the county, and they have now initiated collections actions against me for the remaining balance. I have provided this company with every single document requested of me. Even their own collections team admitted that the grant payment process does not normally take this long. Save yourself the immense aggravation and find a company with a more reliable, organized back office.

He properly took care of an outside faucet issue that was "repaired" previously 24 months before. I noticed my outside faucet was slightly spraying water from the "repair part" recommended two years prior. In April 2024, I called Harvey Baker Plumbing to fix this faucet as it was leaking from the knob at the time. A young gentleman came and said he did not have the part on his vehicle to replace it (something to do with the pipe size), but he could "repair" it. However, I would not be able to turn the water on and off from the faucet knob. He said the nozzle at the end of the hose would serve as the on/off mechanism. When I discovered the current leak, I called and the receptionist said she could get someone out between 12-2 the next day. I explained the previous situation above and said I definitely want the faucet "replaced" this time. She looked up my previous invoice and said she would note on the ticket the faucet should be replaced rather than repaired. Next day, she called again and said she could have the technician come out earlier if I was available. I said I was and Juan came 15 minutes later, a little after 10am. He was a joy to work with, smiling and providing great conversation and expertise! I explained everything and he said he had the necessary part to rectify the leak. He did a great job. When I got the invoice, I noticed the parts only cost $33 compared to the "repair" part of $10. I was surprised the previous gentleman couldn't drive 4 miles to the office to get the necessary part and recommended the "repair" instead. I estimated I could have saved approximately $200 of labor charges had the work been properly completed the first time. I would have requested the previous technician get the necessary part had I known the difference in part costs was minimal. At least the "repair" lasted 2 years. I will probably continue to use Harvey Baker Plumbing in the future, but I'll make sure I request a more seasoned technician like Juan next time. Final note - Harvey Baker Plumbing now charges a 3% credit card fee on the invoice, which was not their practice previously. It was not a big deal to me ($7.75), and I understand a family business would prefer cash or a check. If I have a major plumbing issue in the future, at least now I am aware of the added fee.

First thing Monday, got a call back, had a plumber out to the house before 9:00 am. Caesar found the leak amazingly fast, and had it repaired in no time. We have now received a call from the owner & even he admits there are communication & training issues that he is working on. We appreciate the extra effort he is now giving the situation. So glad great customer service is shining through. ************* Mother-in-law contracted with Advanced Septic for a full septic service mid-Feb. Paid $275. Last night, toilets wouldn't flush and sewage began backing up into bathtub. Yuck! So, a little more than 6 weeks after an "alleged" full service, we had to request an emergency service call. Contacted Advanced Septic and was told we would be their first service this morning after they started business at 7:30. Approx 8:45, a technician shows up. Finds OLD blockage & behind that a 90% FULL tank!! Ok... here's why I'm upset & I believe this business to be unfair, bordering on fraud, possibly preying on senior citizens.... They want to charge another $275!! What?!?! 6 weeks after a full service, one tank is found to be 90% & they want to charge for THEIR IMPROPER & INCOMPLETE INITIAL SERVICE?! We contacted the company & was basically told that the original technicians reported a complete service. OBVIOUSLY, 6 weeks after the initial service, no tank should be at 90%!! Advanced Septic insisted on payment but reduced service fee to $150. If we had known that a COMPLETE service would cost $425, we would have gone elsewhere! Suffice to say, we will NOT be using this company again & they were told that negative reviews would be posted.
