Time for an update! I love going local! You have to support the HOME TEAM! Their wings are great! The boneless wings are far more tender and have become a go to for my family! Plus they send specials to their customers. Prices a little pricey but you get more than you pay for, way more! Service started out great. Dining are is small and music was very loud. Heater was on and it got quite warm. But then it was turned off and became comfortable. Order was placed. One person's order was delivered along with news that our server was having to clock out and leave so she brought the check along with the other food. Husband tipped her in cash and then tipped on check as well. She advised someone else would be taking care of us but that wasn't the case. Ended up having to walk up to the bar every time we needed refills or silverware (we didn't get any with our food). But bar tender was quick to bring the check for a beer that was ordered after food was paid for. Bar tender did not come back to the table to retrieve check Payment. Had to bring it to the bar to cash out. With as much as we tipped, it should not have been a self service transaction at that point. Food was good. Wings were dry and not saucy. Cheese sticks arrived with no cheese in them but served did have them replaced. Nothing to write home about on this visit. Ordered mimosa and it came in a dirty/not cleaned glass. So, I think I found my new favorite wing spot. Their honey BBQ wings are among the tastiest I've had in Tally. Lauren took our order and was very patient as this was our first time trying it. She also allowed us try the Bourbon Bacon sauce, which sounded intriguing, but I was not a fan of the flavor. She said guys prefer it, which was an interesting factoid. I had the Carolina gold boneless with a side of potato fries. They were really tasty. My gf had the buffalo garlic parmesan, while she enjoyed the flavor, she ordered all flats and found them "too fatty." At first, she thought they weren't fried hard enough, but after several minutes in our air fryer, she was still not satisfied. We did enjoy her side of mac n cheese bites. We ordered 1- 10 piece traditional wing combo, 1- 6 piece traditional, and 1 6-piece boneless, they all come with a side and a drink. The total was $55. The only con really was it took about a half-hour to get our order on a Thursday night when the place was relatively empty. We had good company while we waited, that helped. It's a really sad day for me! My favorite menu item is no longer being served!! This place made the best grilled chicken tenders anywhere and they no longer offer them. I was so disappointed to hear that because I have recommended FWF so many times for my favorite Keto Friendly lunch! They do not serve any grilled options so I went ahead and orders the strips that had the breading. The truth is the service is great and those wings were on point. My partner ordered regular wings. They were pretty small but I think that's a result of the market more than anything. I had to move my rating to a 4 because I can't get Diet Coke and I can no longer enjoy a keto meal here unless I eat a salad. Really wanted to enjoy my first visit here. Had bookmarked this restaurant for some time and finally took my son out for wings and (root)beer. We arrived and were invited to sit anywhere we wanted. The onion rings were very good, with a soft beer battered coating. The dipping sauce was really good, but not enough for the order of onion rings you get. Asking for more sauce will incur a charge, but it was worth it as the sauce was really good. For dinner I ordered another appetizer, the duck wings with the asian sauce. My son ordered their signature item, stuffed wings. He elected for the jambalaya and sausage stuffing...it sounded interesting. Food took a little time to arrive and we were hungry to dig in. The duck wings were okay. I've had them many other places before, and was excited to try them here, but they were a bit of a let down. My son's wings were not okay. They were raw inside. Totally understandable as stuffed proteins can be a bit tricky, so we asked for them to be sent back and to get a new order. Almost 30 minutes later, and 3 updates from the server apologizing that they were taking so long in order to make sure they come out fully cooked, we received a basket of pulverized wings along with our check. As my son waited for the wings to cool down, I went to pay the check. They hadn't removed the wings from the check, which is okay, I guess as I asked for a corrected order, but I did see they gave me a "first responder/military" discount of 10%. Seeing as how I am none of these, I can assume this was a discount for the error. They should have mentioned it, as it was a gesture on their part to make things right. When my son finally tried and wing, and while I was still waiting for the bill to be picked up, he reported that the wings were very overcooked and dry. Trying one, I was shocked as to how overcooked they were. I get that they were trying to make sure we didn't get raw wings, but these were on the severe side of being over corrected. When our sever came back to our table, I thanked her for her help as we worked to get properly cooked wings to our table, but told her the issue. She took a look at the wings and apologized for how overcooked they were. I asked if they could just be taken off the bill, which they were. At this point, I really expected a visit from someone in a leadership role to visit my table. I didn't get a visit or an itemized check with the finally tally. I paid the amount they stated I owed, tipped the server a full 20% (she really did a great job and suffered along side us) and we left. It was quite a drive for us to come from the NE to try the food here. I like you can get all flats even if there is an upcharge. The okra was good. So these wings...... ‍ they had NO crisp. None. NADA. I only had to drive across the street, so I refuse to accept it was the steam. You may also think they were soggy because there was too much sauce. NOPE! Never seen anything like it before! You won't ever get them confused with Hobbit Hoagie's or Island Wing Company when it comes to capacity. But where Florida Wing outperforms the aforementioned two businesses is in straight wing titillation. The "chicken arms" are plump, juicy and mouth-watering like a mofo! Did I mention they had stuffed wings? What tha heck??!!! I know, right??!!! Never even knew this existed but I'm ecstatic I do now and am a much better person because of it. lol I'm also an adherent of their cold beer, jalapeño poppers and multiple TVs that provide a cornucopia of sports viewing options. I often forget to mention how great the service is in some of my reviews. If I do, just take it as that place's customer service is as it should be because if it sucked, I'd make sure to warn all of you but I'd be remiss to not praise FWF for theirs. The waitresses have always been kind, swift and attentive on each one of my visits. I am a huge wings fan and have actually never tried the bone-in here because the boneless are so great! The boneless wings are so huge that I can barely finish 5 of them. My favorite sauce is the Nashville Heat but recommend trying some of the atypical flavors. Peanut butter was tasty but I needed extra jelly to go with it. We've tried the Mac and cheese bites which are okay. The order is small and to me the wings are the important part. Five stars in class (wing-joint, "sports bar-esque"). Really, the five stars here focus on the prime deliverables - those being wings. Tallahassee has a solid cadre of Wing Joints so newcomers ought to be thick-skinned and prepared to defend their winged honor. Florida Wing Factory won't have a problem. First off, they have ample flavorful options for the wings (wet AND dry, no spice to "devil's breath") and they are clearly focused on Wings. There is a challenge available (10 flats coated in "Devil's Breath" in 10 minutes) that seems interesting. If the "Double Dare" is the runner-up sauce in intensity, then I'd submit that this would be a very probable victory. What's more, there are A LOT of victors on the wall of fame - over double than those on the wall of shame - so my sense is that they need to ratchet up the Scovilles involved here. But - back to the wings and the service. Our server was great! She suggested the "secret sauce" to round off my "double dare" and "Jamaican jerk" order. I highly recommend "The secret sauce". Intensely flavorful. My dad had the Blue Buffalo which was his speed. Nice, but no trace of heat. "thermally vacuous" as it were. The footprint of Angelette's is easy to see - as much as I miss Angelette's, this is certainly a worthy replacement. So... I've tried a lot of their wing sauces and have settled on lemon pepper seasoning as my favorite... but buffalo garlic Parmesan is also bomb, and I even tried the pb&j recently and was pleased!
