Eaten here so many times through college. Korean cauliflower and BLT dip with fries is go to for starters. The steak board is always delicious but definitely something to share. I would always choose regular potato over sweet. But when it comes to their fries the sweet potato fries are hard to pass up on. Especially the sweet sauce they come with. Gets busy on game days for sure, and the menu is slightly different on game weekend so keep that in mind too! Drinks are always pretty good. Monthly challenge drinks can be hit or miss, but there's a good variety and always something for everyone. read more

I stopped by for a quick bite and ordered the Thai chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The chicken was good especially the flavor but the bread wasn't the best and the slaw was good but the sauce however made the bread soggy which wasn't great. The sweet potato fries were a miss, they were salty and didn't seem fresh. My server was great and that's the reason why I gave a 3 start versus less. My dining companion and I made a return visit to Madison Social. We found street parking a block from the restaurant. There is a parking meter. Make note of your license plate number! We were greeted at the door and given wristbands. We hadn't ordered anything from the bar, but its necessary in a restaurant/bar like this. We were seated pretty quickly. The service is good, but we waited for each part of the dining experience. The order, the drinks, the meal, the check, etc. It just felt like a lot of waiting. I ordered the Fat Fingers, which is an order of 4 generously sized house battered buttermilk fried chicken tenders. The menu says the order is served with MadSo Peruvian green sauce. I don't think I knew there was a default sauce. I just requested bbq sauce when asked by the server. I would recommend this menu item and have ordered it every time I visit this restaurant. The fried coating stays with the chicken and it doesn't fall apart. It's a favorite. My dining companion ordered the Thai Fried Chicken Sandwich, which is served as a ginger garlic honey tossed fried chicken, with red cabbage carrot slaw, herb aioli, on a brioche bun. The sandwich came accompanied by a generous serving of seasoned french fries. This meal was filling. Overall, Madison Social is a good restaurant and the food remains of high quality. This place has a fun, sports-bar vibe--big screens showing games, neon signs on the walls, and plenty of booths for groups. The staff are friendly and attentive, and it's a nice spot to hang out. That said, it's really frustrating that so much of the menu is often unavailable. Multiple times I've come in, and not just one item but a large portion of what's listed is missing. It's disappointing to plan for a burger, wings, or other favorites only to find they don't have them. No matter how lively the atmosphere is, the repeated lack of options makes dining here unpredictable. read more

I really want to like this place. The MadSo burger was awesome until I found a menthol nicotine chew (yes a used chew that I unfortunately chewed NOT on purpose) in my burger . Women's restroom was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING with mold and who knows coating the rim of ALL 4 toilets. I shared this with the MOD and he gave me a gift card (didn't need or want but was appreciated). Came back 2 weeks later... Bartender was different and VERY 'put out ' to serve anyone. Her replacement for the shift came in and LITERALLY picked her butt because her shorts were up her...RIGHT in front of us several times. She then used her bar rag to wipe her shoes and THEN tucked it in to the back of her shorts to start her shift. THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING and the health department should be notified. Had very mixed experiences here. First we tried to grab dinner on a Friday evening. Was met by a 'doorman' who told me that they were in fact serving dinner. I could not, unfortunately, bring my backpack inside for safety reasons. Despite being the only one at the door at that time, I was told that it was "unreasonable" for me to expect him to inspect the contents so I could bring it inside with me. I had to leave my bag at the stand with him. Fair enough. My wife and I were given 21+ wristbands. My kids were marked with "X's" on both hands for security. Once we got inside, only then were we able to find out from the host-stand that it would be an hour plus for a table. This really could have been communicated outside to save us the hassle of going through all of that. Big turn-off. Ok so Friday dinner didn't work out. We opted to return on Sunday for "the best brunch in Tallahassee." Sunday was National Waffle Day. Needless to say, my son and I ordered their signature Chicken n' Waffles. We were there a shade after opening, but our server informed us that the very item we'd come for was unavailable. However, she went to check with the kitchen and returned to tell us that we were in luck. Unfortunately, I'm guessing that the chicken tenders were cooked the day before and reheated, as they were VERY tough. Not inedible, but not good. In all honesty, I make better waffles at home. My wife really enjoyed her Glow Up Bowl Our server was very friendly and efficient. The establishment was clean early in the day. Plenty of seating both indoor and out. It's really a (sports) bar that serves food. Robust bar area, plenty of TVs airing sports, etc. Definitely a place for the college crowd to have some drinks and watch the games. Great vibe. I'd be way more receptive to it as a tipsy college kid, vs an experienced parent. read more

I love Madison Social! Service is always pretty good. It's a mix of kind of folks that show up there. Atmosphere is comfortable indoor and outdoor options. Clean spaces with a nice view of FSU soccer field. I haven't hated anything I ate there yet! Will visit again. read more

The food here is delicious! Freshly made and rich in flavor. The customer service is exceptional. Even on a very busy Sunday, we were provided lots of wrap around attention and service. At one point, the bartender got our order wrong. The manager came out and asked us to keep the wrong order (a treat from him) as it was one of their most popular dishes, while they prepared the correct order. The venue is simple; however, unfortunately, it smelled a bit like an old mop other than that, everything was perfect! We had the chicken tenders, burger, and BLT sandwich, and BLT dip. This place is too expensive for what should be affordable for college kids given it's in college town WARNING the cheesesteak has great flavor but is extremely spicy! My lips were literally on fire and my acid reflux was not happy at all. Not off to a great start for my first time here!!! So, we finally got our drinks and menus. But I can tell you that this bartender is not observant at all!! People without drinks, we are waiting to order and she is just aimlessly walking around. Finally one of the other bartenders has taken our food order. Food was ok. Not the best wings I have had. Probably mid to bottom 5. Since we will be here again, I will have to try the rest of the menu. The service at the bar got better as there was a bartender change. Had lunch brunch at Madison Social. Madison was our server. Friendly welcoming and gave us the menu rundown. We ordered biscuits and wings for an appetizer. We had to wait for the waitress to come back around to ask for what we needed. Before we were finished, the waitress brought us the check and didn't even ask if we wanted anything else (another beer or dessert). Again, just plopped it on the table and walked away (noticing a theme here?). Had to wait, again, for her to come back to ask for another beer! She never even introduced herself. Poor customer service all around. Food: My husband and I got the Turkey BLT. It was good and the fries were seasoned well. My daughter got the brisket bowl which she enjoyed too. No complaints about the food and the ONLY good thing about this place. Overall: I don't think I would come here again. It was recommended to me (not sure why) so we gave it a try for out college tour trip. Very disappointed. Staff should learn to be more friendly, welcoming and thorough in their service. First visit to this restaurant which is view of Doak Campbell Stadium. I sat outside which has a view of the stadium. I got service right away and ordered a beer only to have the server return and say they were out of that beer. I ordered another beer and he returned again saying they were also out of that beer. So I asked what he had and I ordered one of those drafts. About five minutes later he dropped off the draft beer and quickly scurried away. I did not see the server again for nearly 30 minutes! Once he returned I quickly ordered the Comeback Catch sandwich and upgraded the fries with sweet potato tots. Not sure why the sweet potato tots were an extra three dollars, but that is what they charge here. Nearly another half an hour goes by and I received the food. Keep in mind, this was a Tuesday night and they weren't overly busy. The sandwich was good and the sweet potato tots were extremely good considering they had a creamy cinnamon dipping sauce which was outstanding. Overall, the food was good, but not spectacular. however, the cruddy service really gave this visit and experience a black eye for me. read more

When your in a college town you get such an upbeat atmosphere that the great feelings are contagious. This spot was close to our hotel for a bite to eat , the electric atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was great . We had a burger with avocado and grilled onions, cooked medium well and it was seasoned perfectly, the fries were a little lacking in crispness but I did eat them all , my wife had the same burger and tater tots that were super crispy and when we go back that will be my choice also . The music was great and even though we didn't have any cocktails the bar was huge with seating for at least 40 people . This was a great spot to take in the local scene and everyone was having a good time . Favorite spot when visiting our son at FSU. Had an issue with a pompous bartender this week and mentioned it to the manager, Brendon. Brendon was so understanding and accommodating. We won't let the actions of one greedy bartender taint our opinions of this place. It's a fun, upbeat and cool environment with a beautiful view of the FSU campus in the heart of College Town. Food is great and I love their Key Largo cocktail. We have always enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend. read more

Excellent location they did a really great job with the interior design. The lunch menu was perfect. A little bit of something for everyone, I had the Mediterranean chicken. My husband had the BLT. MadSo has an aged rustic decor, but still keeps a clean look. The bar is big for plenty of social drinking and Brad can make any drink you can imagine especially a mojito. The MadSo burger is my go to a savory sweet burger with great fries, they take an American classic and turn it in to a cosmetic ride for your tastebuds. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Came here with my girl friends after recommending the Korean bbq cauliflower and I'm so glad we came. This night there was a garden party but the wait wasn't long and it was well ventilated. Our server Jada was nice and attentive and everyone there was literally there for good time. It was all good vibes. I had the Korean bbq cauliflower and a veggie burger with water.
