Sarah B...first and foremost, I need to correct the long and misleading LIES you wrote concerning my experience with FloristOne.
On June 12, 2020...my Uncle passed and was funeralized in Dawson, Ga. I live in Alpharetta, Ga (3 1/2 hours away) and due to health issues...I could not attend his funeral service.
On the Funeral Home's website, I learned about FloristOne. Since they recommended your company, I thought maybe it would be the best place to order some plants. And, boy do I ever REGRET my decision.
On June 17, 2020...I placed my online order with FloristOne for two plants: 1) The Peace Lily {$79.95} and 2) The Enduring Spirit Pothos Basket {$59.95}. Both pictures of the plants on your website were beautiful and a very nice touch for my Uncle. In addition, I requested for the delivery to be made on June 18, 2020 because my Uncle's Wake was to be held that same Evening.
The next day (June 18th) after lunch, I decided to call FloristOne and inquiry about the delivery because my cousin (my Uncle's Daughter) stated that she hasn't seen anything.
When I called FloristOne, I spoke with a representative by the name of Tyler. I asked about the status of my order and was told that he did not know if my plants were delivered yet. Tyler went on to say that there was a substitution made for The Enduring Spirit Pothos Basket because the local Florist did not have that plant available. When I asked what was the replacement, once again Tyler stated that he did not know. At that Point, TYLER (not me) suggested that I should call the local Florist (The Flower Basket) and ask what was the substitution. So right there...anyone can plainly see the POOR Customer Service that I was getting from your representative who didn't know MUCH OF ANYTHING.
So as INSTRUCTED BY TYLER, I called The Flower Basket and inquired about my order. From the start....I was RUDELY told by whoever the woman that answered the phone (she never bothered to introduce herself) "no the plants were not delivered yet because they were very busy". WOW!!!!!
Then, she continued on and stated that the substitution was a smaller version of The Peace Lily. When I asked if there were some other plants I could choose from (because I did not want to send two versions of the same plant), the woman stated no because that was the only plant in the $50 price range. Therefore...your statement that "they offered another plant and even showed me that option on their website" is a COMPLETE and UTTER LIE. That NEVER happened. In fact, she stated that it was FloristOne who advised her to "Just Send Any Ole Green Plant". REALLY???? Who would say something like that to a person already in mourning over the death of a loved one.
As for you mentioning my language and behavior with that florist....since she acted like a RABID DOG, I treated her like a RABID DOG. And furthermore.....if YOU want respect for your staff and florists, then YOU should advise them to show that same respect to your PAYING CUSTOMERS as well. Since Flower Companies like yours are a dime a dozen, please remember that customers DON'T NEED FloristOne to send flowers, but FloristOne DO NEED customers to keep your company's doors opened. Especially during this COVID-19 Pandemic (as you pointed out in your post).
As for the cancellation of my order, I didn't have much of a choice in that either. After I hung up from your local Florist, I re-called FloristOne and spoke with another representative by the name of Meagan. When I explained to her what just happened with your local Florist, she placed me on hold and contact the Flower Basket herself. When Meagan came back from the hold, per the Flower Basket Florist..."either I accept the smaller version Peace Lily and have both plants delivered or no plants will be delivered at all.....PERIOD". Again....WOW!!!!
As for your statement "that the delivery distance justified the need for two plants"....the distance from the Flower Basket in Albany, Ga to the Funeral Home in Dawson, Ga is a grand total of 22 mins. I was born and raised in this area and I'm familiar with the locations. So, don't try YOUR LIES on me.
With no RESPECT being shown to me by neither The Flower Basket nor FloristOne as a CUSTOMER.....you bet I cancelled my order with a quickness.
After I explained all of this to my cousin, she provided me with a number to ANOTHER FLORIST SHOP and I ORDERED the plants of MY CHOICE and had them delivered to my Uncle's Wake and Funeral ON TIME.
The only good thing that came out of ALL OF THIS MESS is that I got my money back.
Whether anyone heed my warning or not, that's on them. But, please trust and believe that I will NEVERRRRR EVERRRRR use your company again.
In fact, I'm going to reach out to the Funeral Home (since they are friends of my family) and tell them all about my experience with FloristOne and your Florist (The Flower Basket). I'm pretty sure they would love to know how FloristOne REALLY treats customers. read more
