Thanks to Cearra (pronounced "Sierra"), Florist One's amazing customer service rep, my dying mother was able to enjoy the beauty and sweet bouquet of lavender and white roses moments before she passed away at Hartford Hospital on the last Saturday of August. My mom had been suffering from ovarian cancer for the past two years, and had spent the entire summer in and out of hospitals and nursing homes. She had lost her hair, her appetite, much of her voice, and much of her spirit during these last terrible months. The night before she died, her doctor told us that Mom's vital signs were failing and she had less than 24 hours to live. All I could think of was that I wanted a chance to give her one final gift before she left me - one final chance to say, "I really love you Mom." Remembering how much she loved the flowers around her home, I immediately contacted FloristOne.com (they had the highest ratings for floral delivery services during my Google search). I went on their website, found a beautiful arrangement of lavender and white roses, and scheduled a large bouquet to be sent directly to my mom at Hartford Hospital the very next morning. While you always hope things will go smoothly, they rarely ever do. When the florist came to deliver the flowers to my mom, he was told by the hospital staff that her wing did not allow flowers. Shortly thereafter, Florist One sent me a text alert informing me that my flowers were unable to be delivered that day, and that redelivery would be attempted on Monday. In a panic, I called the hospital who said that there had been a mistake, and that the flowers were indeed deliverable. I then called Florist One, and Cearra answered the phone. I explained to her that I really needed the flowers to be delivered that day as my mom had only a few hours left to live. Cearra spent the next hour trying to contact the florist. When she finally got ahold of him, she explained both the hospital's mix up and the urgency of the situation. He promised to go back to the store, grab the bouquet and attempt a redelivery which - thanks to Cearra's dedication - he did! The moment the bouquet arrived, my Mom lit up the room with her smile, she was so very happy to see the beautiful lavender and white roses. Thanks to Cearra, my Mom was able to enjoy one final bit of wild beauty moments before she left this earth. While I can never repay Cearra for the gift she gave to my family and me during my mom's final moments, I can let other people know just how amazing and dedicated Cearra is to the people who order flowers from her company. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I placed an online order on Monday for a Friday spray delivery to the mortuary and today Friday, we are sitting at the services and realize the flowers are not there!! Very embarrassed, I go home and contacted this Florist and they just said they couldn't do the order. So instead of contacting me to let me know, they waited until I realized it??!!! They had no excuse when I called them back, I guess they couldn't find a local florist that could do the order! And were they not going to let me know??!! Ordered a plant arrangement for a funeral online and am always skeptical since I have had bad experiences with other florists in the past where the flowers hardly looked like the picture both in size and quality. Florist One however exceeded my expectations! Not only did the flowers/plant look like the picture, it looked even better! Fresh and beautiful! The flower arrangement I ordered for a funeral was wonderful. I made a slight request, after I had already ordered the flowers, which was to switch out the lilies for something comparable, due to an allergy I was not aware of. I received an email right back and said they would submit my request to the florist. When I received a photo of the bouquet from a family member I was beyond happy with flowers, and yes they switched out the lilies without any extra cost or hassle, and I appreciate that so much. Florist One was very professional and went out of their way to make sure the Sympathy Plant I ordered was delivered in a timely manner. Originally, my order was scheduled for next-day delivery. I was told this would not be possible. I contacted customer service and told them this was for a dear friend who lost her husband suddenly. Ordered flowers to the Brigham hospital because during covid we cannot be there ourselves. They followed up numerous times because they were waiting for her to be moved from the part of the hospital that didn't allow flower deliveries. These people not only missed the funeral, but lied about delivering to the widow. They notified me the delivery was made, asked me for a review, then noticed me it was too late to deliver my order. The customer service person via text gave me a disconnected number when I wanted to talk to a person about getting my confirmed order corrected. They followed up by notification of a successful, timely delivery, and sent an image/picture of the flower arrangement that I ordered and that was delivered.
