Fall drinks are in. The Gilmore Girl was the one that stuck out to me. I'm not a huge pumpkin fan or peanut butter - I've heard great things about the Black Cat though (peanut butter). If you haven't already head in before the season is over and they are gone. As always, super friendly service at the cafe from the owners.

Came by a couple times and happened to have bad luck, once where I misread the dates they were open, and once when the owners had a family emergency. Third time's the charm! Loved the variety of specialty lattes on the menu and had trouble choosing just one to try, but I settled on the Bee Sting Latte, which had burnt honey syrup. Was hoping for bit more of the burnt flavor, but it was still pretty delicious. I know that this is a small business, but paying a dollar extra for an alternative milk still hurt my wallet a bit. Overall, a very cute and trendy cafe and a great addition to Camarillo!

We returned just in time to try Flour Power's new Fall menu, and we were impressed, to say the least! My husband and I shared the Black Cat Latte (one of their Fall specials) as well as their Banana & Coconut Matcha. The café was quite busy but our drinks didn't take too long. Aroosa (our server and I believe a co-owner) came out with our drinks and suggested that we try the Black Cat's cold foam separately before mixing it together. The peanut butter cream cold foam was soooooooooo good. The peanut flavor was comforting and not too strong, and there were peanut chunks inside which added a nice crunchy texture. It was super delicious mixed in with the latte -- tasted like a Reese's coffee (but not too sweet)! The banana coconut matcha was good as well. I wish it had a stronger matcha flavor as the banana/coconut was overpowering, but the fruit puree tasted GREAT: authentic, not too syrupy or sweet, and perfectly creamy. I wanted to note that my husband and I usually prefer our coffee/matcha with oat milk. We forgot to ask for oat this time, but both drinks were still delicious with whole milk! Updating my rating to 5 stars for the most delicious peanut cream cold foam and for exceptional service. Thank you, Mike and Aroosa, for being so intentional and kind in coordinating a day and time for us to visit!

Love the coffee here! They mean it when they say "just the right amount of sweetness"! So far I've tried the tiramisu, pistachio, and horchata matcha and loved each of them. You truly get the perfect hint of flavor that doesn't overpower the espresso. The employees are friendly too! I've perfected my own at-home vanilla latte, so it's important to me that a trip to a coffee shop offers me something better than what I can make myself - Flour Power delivers!

Located inside the Village Cafe is a nice and new coffee shop. Flour Power Coffee has lots to offer. I ordered the Strawberry Hibiscus Matcha and The Bee Sting. Both were delicious and we plan to return and try the other flavors amongst all the food and treat options they offer. The service is excellent and they are ready to take your order and give recommendations if needed. Drop by and get a taste and maybe this will become your new habit lol :)

Consensus: Flour Power Coffee is a solid coffee shop and a nice addition to the area for some cool specialty beverages! ______________________________________ Food: We tried the beignets which have a caramel sauce on top and a chocolate filling and they were solid! I'm a fan of the chocolate filling, but personally would prefer just a powdered sugar topping to help keep the outside a bit crispier and give a nicer bite to them. We also tried the Blueberry Hill Latte (not pictured), Banana Coconut Matcha, Salty Pistachio Pop, and Trippy Tiramisu. Blueberry Hill: Wasn't overly sweet which was perfect for me, but didn't have as much blueberry flavor as I expected. Banana Coconut Matcha: Surprisingly tasted like blueberry to me haha, but had a nice coconut aftertaste with subtle hints of banana, also on the sweeter side. Salty Pistachio Pop: Tasted just like pistachios! Expect a savory drink on this one, with some caramel to give a sweetness for balance! Trippy Tiramisu: Tasted like tiramisu in a cup! Was a good balanced drink overall and would recommend! ______________________________________ Service: Very nice staff, they were helpful with explaining the drinks and selling their strengths to us! ______________________________________ Ambience: A bit on the smaller side with a few tables for at most three people each. Would mainly recommend for take out or small parties who are staying for a short while. ______________________________________ Notable Experiences:

So sad they're closing. Best coffee I've had since moving to Camarillo a few months ago. I hope bigger and better things are ahead for them!

Delicious drinks, friendly and helpful people behind the counter and while it is small inside, on a nice day you can walk around or sit on the benches outside! It's not its own place, it's inside Village Cafe with these menus.

Tried this spot on a whim and did not disappoint! I ordered the Halloweentown latte for myself and the Trippy tiramisu for my husband both were delicious and not overly sweet. People kept walking in and it clear this place is popular...can't wait to try another coffee and their food.

Tiramisu latte & ube everything bagel.

I recently visited this cafe and was pleasantly surprised. I tried the tiramisu latte and the everything ube bagel, and both were good. The tiramisu latte had a great depth of flavor--smooth espresso with hints of cocoa and a super delicious cold foam. The ube bagel was a fun and unique option. I would have liked a bit more ube as it was not very prominent but overall worth a try. Will definitely be back to try some of the other drinks and other food items!

This matcha literally tasted like banana bread, it was so delicious! I love that it was not too sweet but the perfect amount of flavor. Every person that worked there was so friendly, hand delivering our drinks with such care.

So so good! I ordered the trippy tiramisu iced latte and it looked just like the product photo listed! It was the perfect blend of sweet, creamy, and bold. I was a bit lost at first trying to locate it, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it is sold inside of village cafe. Such a cute place! I could definitely see myself coming back in to pair this with some of the food sold at village cafe. Staff were also very friendly as well and they whipped out this drink in no time! Although it was on the pricey side, coming out to a little over $9 without the tip, I would definitely come back to treat myself!

    Ruben C.

Not too big on coffee but these guys nailed it with their Blueberry Hill Latte. Great mix between blueberry and coffee, the cold foam completes it. Staff was nice as they were able to make me a Strawberry Matcha without hibiscus (Strawberry Hibiscus Matcha is their original menu item) and it was delicious. Village Cafe also has some bomb chicken nuggets dont sleep on that. All in all great spot for coffee and food very chill vibes.

The coffee is the star of the show but the food here is just as good. The specialty drinks are not overly sweet, which I personally enjoy.

Back then I was younger and on a budget, so I mostly stuck to a few lunch specials and never really explored the rest of the menu. That location has been gone for years, but recently I started going to the Old New York Deli in Camarillo. And now I'm realizing what I've been missing all these years. This is a real, old-school New York Jewish deli and bakery, and I've barely scratched the surface. Let's start with the everything bagels. They're in another class. You really can't compare a good New York-style bagel to something from the grocery store or even most of the bagel shops around here. The chew is different. They're moist, flavorful, and absolutely loaded with everything seasoning. I've been back several times now just to pick up a dozen. I used to think grabbing the double pack of bagels at Costco for six bucks was good enough. Nope. I'm ruined now. These are too good. I'll gladly pay more and actually enjoy the bagel. Then there are the apple turnovers. Astonishing. And the dessert counter is ridiculous. It's overflowing with pastries and desserts, and everything looks like something you want to take home. The staff has also been amazing every time I've been in. And I'm really just getting started. There are blintzes, all the deli classics, and a whole menu I somehow ignored when I was younger. Corned beef and pastrami are very high on my list for the next visit. My only disappointment is realizing I could have been enjoying this place for the last 25 years. I'll be back many, many, times.

Since we were already starving, we pivoted and just ordered drinks and baked goods. The drinks: I got the White Chocolate Mocha and it was delicious, perfectly sweet and smooth. My husband tried the Blended Mocha and said it was just okay (nothing special). The baked goods: The banana slice was really good, moist and flavorful. My husband grabbed the M&M cookie, but it definitely wasn't freshly made. It was still decent, just not amazing. On the plus side, we had no idea this bakery was so close to where we live! We'll definitely be back to give their breakfast and sandwiches a try, just next time we'll come with more patience and more time. Bottom line: Great drinks, good pastries, but factor in a long wait if you're ordering hot food. Worth a second chance for the full menu!

I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.
