Beacon coffee was amazing! Loved the service, very friendly! It's a small place and a lot of people go there to work or study. Everything is made in house. Small menu which I prefer. We had a cold brew with vanilla syrup and a latte with an extra shot of espresso. everything was delicious!
First impression- This coffee shop is a bit off the beat road. It's in the middle of a bunch of warehouses! Parking- plenty of parking due to the warehouses around Service- The baristas are exceptionally well educated about the coffee they serve. They're super sweet and add to the warm environment there. Drinks - Cappuccino with whole milk- No notes. Absolutely stellar. The coffee was so smooth I could have had 3 back to back. I literally dream about this. Overall- I officially compare all coffee spots to this one. Spoiler alert- No one compares! Family friendly spot and the owner has barista classes in the back.
Beacon Coffee has been on my radar for years, mainly thanks to my local yelp elites. Finally stumbled in earlier in the week for a little pick me up and baked goodies. Beacon is located in Ventura nearby Posidon Brewing. Beacon is so cute inside. It's cozy, quiet, and a great spot to sip your bev and to get some work done. Service was super friendly and the vibes were very welcoming and warm. I'd definitely come back here. 5/5 Here's what I got: Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte - A classic matcha that was the perfect start to my day. It's no frills but hit the spot. The addition of a little vanilla for sweetness was key. A matcha done well is a matcha I'd come back for every-time. Cheddar & Chive Biscuit - GET THIS! One of the best biscuits I've had in a while. My pro tip is to just make sure you get it warmed up. I took mine back to the office, gave it a quick microwave and it was on point. The biscuit was super flaky and buttery. The cheese and chive combo made this biscuit super flavorful and nostalgic. Who doesn't love a freshly baked biscuit? Im already eager to come back for another one and I have no doubt that the rest of their baked goods are probably equally as phenomenal. The biscuit is made by big cheeks bakery, a fan favorite. I've slept on this spot for far too long but when I'm on this side of town I'll definitely be grabbing my drinks and breakfast snacks here.

Found this place on Yelp while driving to Santa Ynez valley last weekend. The location surprised me a little and I thought we took a wrong turn but no... it's located in an industrial area near some offices and businesses. We got here around 7:30 am and there were quite a few people here already. That tells you something. And yes the coffee was really good. I got an iced matcha drink and loved it very much. The customer service was friendly and welcoming. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. They do sell freshly baked pastries/croissants. Overall a great place to stop by for coffee while in Ventura county.
What a find. On our way to Los Olivos for a day of wine-tasting, we stopped by for coffee and a bite to eat. I had the ginger snap latte which was creamy, foamy with the right amount of spice and sweetness, the hubby had a drip which was balanced and smooth. We split the caramelized onion and cheese danish and date scone. The danish was buttery, flakey and delicious, and the date scone was the sweet and creamy. The server was friendly and prompt, and the dinning are was small and intimate that felt like community. I look forward to returning another time we drive through Ventura.
Absolutely love this coffee shop! It's located in an industrial area, so its not somewhere you'd just stumble upon by accident. Let me tell you though, it's worth going out of your way. The shop itself is small and cozy with super-friendly staff making stellar coffees! Right now I'm obsessed with the pixie mocha, it has the perfect combination of orange & chocolate flavor. I usually end up grabbing myself a pastry too because every one that I've had is fresh and tasty as heck. Price-wise, everything is reasonable which I appreciate. Next time you're looking for your coffee fix, I highly recommend Beacon Coffee Company. :)

Great cold brew and a tasty matcha latte. They offer different brew classes that look like so much fun if you're looking to learn more about brewing coffee. This has gone on our to-do list in Ventura county. As I said, it's a smaller shop so less seating options. It wasn't full while we were there, but I could easily see it getting full. All the staff here are so kind and friendly! Recommend stopping by for some great coffee.
It is my absolute joy to write a review for this place. I'm nit much of a coffee drinker, but their espresso cold brew has converted me. The people here are friendly. Everything I've visited I'm constantly greeted, immediately helped, and have greet conversation with the staff. The inside of the place is tiny, but it's always clean. There pastries are also delicious. I'm not sure who makes their parties, but going in to grab some cold brew and walking out with some random pastry is always fun and exciting. If you haven't been here, and you like coffee, you need to try it.

I had heard great things about this coffee shop, and I finally gave it a try. I ordered a warm vanilla latte and it was very delicious. Truly one of the best I've had. The only downside is that the space is a bit small and crowded with limited seating. Aside from that, everything about the coffee experience was great.

This coffee shop is over and over visiting place! I can not express how impressed we were after we tried the Citrus Mocha yesterday. I do not think I have ever tasted any coffee that tasted this good !!! The service is amazing, people who work there are wonderful ladies with professional customers service. I can not wait to visit again and looking forward to the other seasonal drinks .
Good coffee shop to stop by and grab coffee on your way up to Santa Barbara from LA. A small hidden gem that has a few seats inside to work from and about two tables outside in case you want to bring your pup. I ordered my basic half-sweet vanilla latte and it was perfect. Not too sweet nor too much milk. The espresso had a nice, strong flavor as well. Will be back again next time we're driving through. read more

Havent been here in years. Located in an industrial area. Limited space to order. While you're standing in line People are opening the door into you. There is imited seating inside and outside. They pour your drinks and to go cups, even if you're eating there. They don't warm up any pastries. Or at least they didn't ask. Had the lavender latte could definitely taste the lavender in it. And a cold brew. read more

A very cool coffee shop although kind of small it gets busy and the coffee tastes very good! My favorite coffee shop in town! Everyone here is so friendly, and my drink is always consistently amazing. I used to try lots of different coffee shops, but there's something special about the small, welcoming feel of Beacon. The quality is top-notch, and the prices are still great , which I really appreciate. Thank you for being such a cozy, reliable spot that always starts my day right! This location is very unassuming. I had never even heard of it despite having visited Poseidon right next door! I went for a visit and a latte to get a gift card for my kids teacher since this is her favorite spot. When I walked up, the line was out the door so you know the locals are big fans. The baristas were super friendly and helpful with their guidance on recommendations. There were little tables located both inside and out, if you chose to stick around. I could see myself working remotely from here since it's nice and quiet despite the busy atmosphere as I do enjoy people watching. read more

We took the Chemex class o we the weekend and we absolutely loved it! This class is so informative and shows you the taste difference with the filters and grounds of coffee. Not only was the class great but all the staff are very nice and attentive to all that walk in. Such a great opportunity for coffee drinkers to learn more about coffee with the classes they offer. Such a great gift option for the holidays or birthdays. Coffee was great and the staff made the visit even better. We definitely will be back! I recommend not only the coffee her but taking a class. read more

I've been here about five times now. In the early morning, I usually drop my car off at the dealership for service and walk over here. Although it's located in an industrial area, it seems to have a loyal customer base. The service is always friendly, and while the coffee menu isn't extensive, it covers all the essentials, including various teas, hot coffee, iced coffee, and more. Today, I ordered a mocha coffee, an iced matcha, and an almond croissant. The coffee has always been great, and the croissant was absolutely delicious. One standout feature of their coffee is that it's not overly sweet compared to other places. This spot has become part of my routine, and it never disappoints. I'd give it 4 stars. The lack of a signature coffee is the only downside for me. read more
We like to support a local coffee place when traveling. This place looked fun and promising. We waited quite a while for our black coffees. I'm sure their brewing method is great, it looked very fancy, but something to consider if you're in a rush and just popping in. I also found almost $5 to be pretty pricey for a 12 oz cup of black coffee. One other thing to consider is that although there are pictures and reviews that mention vegan items, they did not have any. I specifically made the trek here for that so was a little disappointed. I know that many places don't have vegan options but I feel it's important to mention since other reviews and photos make it seem like they do have some pastries. Overall it was a cute, small coffee shop in a warehouse. Friendly staff, pricey coffee and not many food options. read more

I stopped here on a long drive home and from the second I walked in, I felt welcomed in! I loved that the baristas knew their espresso and recommended an Americano with splash of milk. It was lovely, nice sweet, fruitier roast :) loved how you can actually see the roasting process behind the shop too! read more

Found this place on a whim as I was heading to work and craving coffee . The service / cashier was supper polite, patient, and helpful as this was my first time and I randomly had to step out for a coughing spell that came over me. They suggested a Pixie Vanilla Latte (which tasted like an Orange Creamsicle!) and a Pixie Chocolate Latte (which I feel would taste like the chocolate orange Milano cookies!). I opted for the Vanilla Latte and it did not disappoint. I also ordered a sourdough cinnamon roll and personally wasn't a fan but maybe I should've warmed it up. Either way, I'd probably go again seeing how it's on the way to work. Nice and cute little spot! read more
Honestly my favorite coffee in Ventura. Easy to park as it's in a little warehouse area. Very random location but the coffee is soooo good! Quality is a key factor here. The staff are always welcoming and sweet. I look forward to doing one of their coffee classes hopefully soon. read more

My first visit to Beacon Coffee Company was this morning for their Chemex brew class. The interior of Beacon is small and cozy. I love the wood decor. The employees greeted us and were friendly. Once it was time for our Chemex brew class, we entered the back area. Our brewmaster Kelsey made our experience so awesome. She was knowledgeable and friendly. We loved the class. It was fun to learn about all of the variables that make a difference when brewing coffee and how each variable changes the flavor of the coffee. We were very caffeinated at the end of class! I would absolutely recommend a brew class for any coffee lover! read more
Stopped by Beacon Coffee during our visit to Ventura. It's in a business park so was hard to find at first, since we went in one entrance and had to drive around to search for the signage. The staff was super friendly, talkative and created a very positive and inviting environment. The coffee on the other hand was just okay. My husband ordered an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. They make their own vanilla which is great, but it was cloyingly sweet and they put too much of it in the latte where he ended up tossing it after a few drinks. I ordered a dirty chai and enjoyed it. Their chai had a nice blend of spices and the espresso complimented it. The up charge for non-dairy milk was $1.25 per drink which is steep compared to other coffee roasters and still disappointing to me that patrons have to pay so much for a plant based alternative. read more
Wow... what a great place! It was full when I stopped by with a friend. Unfortunately, there were no open seats so we had to leave. It appears.. it's a great place to work and grab coffee. Tiny little place but I can see why so many people were here. I loved my vanilla latte and that peanut butter Roger cookie was amazing! Amazing service! After leaving, my friend and I decided to walk around Downtown Ventura. We bumped into the baristas and they said hi! How friendly! I felt as if they were my buddies. Lovely ladies!! My Christmas tradition every year was to order a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks, get disappointed because it's way too sweet and then order it again next year hoping it will get better for no reason. Thanks to Beacon, I can now end this fruitless exercise. Their Peppermint Mocha has a lovely minty scent and a rich taste without being too sweet. I also got to try their whole milk latte, which has a similarly rich taste and satisfying slight bitterness. This is high quality coffee prepared with care in a cozy, intimate setting. If you like great coffee and appreciate the added touch of lovely coffee art, this is the place for you. It's my new favorite coffee spot in Ventura, and I'm excited to try out more of their menu. read more

Headed to Santa Barbra and needed some coffee this place popped up so we decided to stop in and grab some coffee. It was a bit of a mission to get here but once we did we ordered a vanilla late and an iced matcha. Obviously the latè was amazing. Matcha I make matcha at home so this was just mmmmm... but then again this is a coffee spot. Loved how there are classes you can take. Service was excellent and the space was quiet and great place to work and be creative. read more
