    Burnt an Everyday bagel.
    Jennifer M.

I came here yesterday, 2/12 at 11 am, and I ended up getting the everything bagel with cream cheese. By the time I got home to eat my bagel, it was too late to file a complaint to get a new one. The bagel was BURNT!! I don't understand how the person who made this thought it was okay to serve this to a customer. Won't be returning.

Texas Brisket in a Jalapeno bagel, Nova lox in an onion bagel, bacon avocado & tomato in a garlic bagel, blueberry muffin

We come to this location 2-3 times a month. So nice and convenient to live nearby. Workers are friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is clean and chill. Tables are often clean each time we are here. We often get the following: Texas Brisket in a Jalapeno bagel, Nova lox in an onion bagel, bacon avocado & tomato in a garlic bagel, blueberry muffin All the bagels are always good and filling for the price. We also love their honey almond and strawberry cream cheese spread! Great box of bagels to bring for an office meeting! I would recommend this place.

Service is really fast and pricing is very reasonable! The ambiance was chill and laid back! I throughly enjoyed my bagel

This is what a "real" bakery used to look like!

BEST NEW YORK BAGEL... Forget about Noah's, they wouldn't know a NY bagel if it hit them (PS, I'm FROM NY and family owned Cohen's Bakery - which is still in business in Ellenvile - but there aren't any COHEN's there anymore)

    Avocado from my BLT
    Kristi N.

Bagels are great and always fresh. I ordered a BLT. Paid extra for Avocado. It was gross and brown. I am sure the young woman who made the sandwich wound not eat it herself. And she offered it as an add on. The sand which was delicious without the avocado.

Small bagels, minimal cream cheese, high price! I don't think you would go out of business if you actually put some spread on the bagels. This place is a disappointment.

Avocado, Bacon, Egg, White egg Bagel.

The food was tasty, but the coffee was pretty awful. And for the price, the portions were pretty small. Service was also on the slow side.

Great spot to grab food and just sit outside for a bit. It's fully vegan, and everything tastes like it was made with real care, not like generic "vegan substitute" food. The menu is small, but that's clearly because they're making things in house rather than pulling from a distributor, and you can taste the difference. The person running the place was genuinely warm and accommodating, happy to answer questions and make suggestions. It's the kind of small business energy that's rare to find these days. Highly recommend if you're in Oxnard and want honest, thoughtfully made plant-based food. I'll be back.

Outside of this I looked up places to eat and the pictures of the food service etc. I found this place nearby. From the outside, parking was tough to find, difficult to find the place since it is small in a clustered area with homes and a few other shops. The place itself is quite nice inside and right to the side of it. They had outside decorative seats which were nice to look at. Service was great! The woman told us the bold truth about what is good in a pleasant way. She told us the ingredients and how each was a highlight. One of the dishes I wanted to order was the gyro sandwich but it didn't have a key ingredient available at the time. It was the tzatziki sauce. It was a vegan kind that really increases the flavor of the gyro sandwich. Outside of this, she didn't recommend it without that sauce. I ordered the shoreline burrito which the person at front claimed was popular and it looked good from the pictures. The only flaw was the price to value. The ingredients were good quality but did not have that large amount I expected. It was $21 for the burrito with some tortilla chips on the side. I was still hungry after and although it tasted fine, so so or slightly above average, it wasn't really a great value. But everything else was decent. Just that one flaw was disappointing. I found it to be okay to try it out if you want to eat healthy at least, the ingredients are decent quality.

I should have made the review before, to remind me that it's not worth it. The service was ok. Our waitress tried her best. She might be better off writing down what people ordered instead of trying to remember things, she missed three things with our party. First, my niece asked, before ordering a pancake combo, if she could get one pancake made with just blueberries and one with just chocolate. Waitress came back and said yes, but that's all she told us.. Second, my wife ordered her corn beef hash with home style potatoes. Instead, the order came to the table with hash browns. I tried her corn beef hash, it was one of the worse ever. Definitely canned stuff, and not made right. It's like someone thought they could make it, so they must went ahead and did it. Third, I ordered a standard burger with onion rings, it came out with fries. For my order, I told the waitress and she got this corrected right away. The burger was just ok. The bun was nice and buttered, brioche. The meat was juicy and cooked medium as requested. It was under-seasoned, but was okay for me as I usually try to get low sodium, but this makes it taste incomplete. Let's talk about my niece's pancakes though, they came out mixed, both blueberries and chocolate in both pancakes instead of two separate pancakes. And when the bill came, I was charged extra charge for each thing. $3 for the chocolate. $3 for the blueberries. Plate came out over $22, that's crazy. Inside is decently clean and large. Lots of space, although maybe it was because we came in a weekday early at 8:45. Anyway, skip it, not worth it. I prefer the local IHOP.

This former house, now a lovely business, offers plenty of room to relax with a delightful beverage, some engaging conversation, and a bit of gift shop gazing. Hungry? No problem! The accommodating staff will let you know what they recommend for a quick bite, or a satisfying meal. Plenty of locals were here on the day we popped in, working on laptops, discussing presentations/proposals, and enjoying a book with their mocha, cozied up in a comfy chair. We were looking for a quick, easy bite and some caffeine before we moved to our next location. Splitting a ham & cheese on fresh sourdough, then each getting a bevvie(he likes a cup o' Joe in the afternoon, but I had a delicious spiced Chai with whole milk) was a perfect little snack to keep us revved up. What a lovely way to chill out, or be productive! Parking is free on the street, and also in a lot on the opposite side the square. I love that they also support other local, small businesses and artists with some of the items they have for sale. I couldn't resist a bag of kettle corn for just $6 and then read the label that it was produced in a fully licensed local, private kitchen. Lic and expiration date, as well as ingredients and location of manufacturer were clearly stated on the packaging, making me feel real comfortable about my purchase and support of local businesses. How cool to have a business that provides space for other, even smaller businesses! I already was thinking about the friends I was eager to share this great little spot with, in hopes they too will enjoy and return with their friends. And so on, and so on, and so on! Cheers! "CC"
