I called them to make sure the rates were accurate, and to get an idea of when they would do the test. The guy was super nice, and he said he'd do the test on Wednesday, and they said they'd leave a note on the door when it was completed. They did it a day early, and left the note on the door just like they said. This was exactly the ideal experience in my opinion, so I strongly recommend them!

After the work was completed, I was told the report would be sent to the city and I would get an invoice later for the work since there was an additional device that needed to be tested. I of course said ok and thought nothing more of it. Fast forward about a month later. I had already forgotten this issue since I was expecting an email. I get a letter from the city saying my test was incomplete and that my water will be cutoff soon. I called back and was told they had forgot to submit the report and they would do it ASAP. There were no mention of the second device cost so I thought maybe they were going to throw it in for free since there was a lateness. I of course then get an email with the invoice for the additional device and finally a few days later I think I was cc'ed on the report sent to the city. Now, if I had been out or didn't check my mail for a while I really could have my water turned off and I think that even affects my credit? That's not good.

Initially there weren't any reviews for the business so I contacted Pops Backflow, but Pops was all booked up and referred me to A+ Backflow saying "Dave is very good and always shows up for his appointments. He has all his ducks in a row in regards to insurance, licensing, bonds, etc. He is honest and does everything by the book. I got him connected with NW and they have told me their customers are very happy with his service, I'm sure you will be too." Dave Kuca at A+ Backflow responded promptly to my call and was able to fit me in with short notice so I could meet the city's deadline. He did a great job and accepts credit cards with a Square reader.

She explained in detail: allowing mole mounds inside valve boxes causes corrosion of the valves which means they malfunction & need to be replaced -- keep moles out by brick bottom & sealed holes. If a part is bad, she has the replacement. When she's done, your sprinkler valves are set for the season.

Craig sends me an email saying he can come Saturday. I tell Craig that is fine so long as he does not need my input if anything is wrong. Craig can always come later if he is unable to navigate the property properly. I receive an email saying he doesn't want to come down so far south (He is Lake Stevens, I am Woodway; I have many employees who commute that far daily without issue) so he will raise the price. Okay, no issue, but you did invite me to schedule a test, automated or not. Craig has an issue with the test (no water to the assembly, oops, the input valve is right next to the backflow assembly as he has been shown in years past). I receive no text, no phone call, only an email saying he has an issue after the fact. I call Craig to figure out the issue approximately an hour later. Sorry, this was 4th of July weekend and I had many guests over. He tells me he "wasted" his time coming and will not return. A lot of attitude in the response. I did not need to call to discuss it but I did out of professional etiquette as I understand and appreciate the time commitment, but you also made a professional commitment to me and came despite my unavailability and knowledge of the property. I was really surprised as to the attitude received. If you do not want to come, no problem, don't send me an email inviting me to schedule a test, do not accept a schedule to test on your own and do not get upset when you can't figure it out on your own. Further, have some courtesy in understanding you leave me in limbo with the city given your past commitment to me. I stress that past years have been without issue, but this was purely unprofessional and disappointing.

I called Affordable Backflow Testers and, probably by chance, they had a repair person in the area who was able to address the repair that same afternoon. Upon arrival, Taro was quick to confirm that the preventer had failed. He took apart the BFP, showed me how it had failed (fortunately a simple fix), repaired the device and retested. I received a full report 3 business days later. I was very happy with the firm and will plan to use them next spring.
