There is no sign denoting this park and parking is only on the street. There are no amenities here other than picnic tables and solar lights on the property. It's a great place for the local residents to kick back under these well manicure oak trees.

This is nice if there happen to be lots of kids in the main play area or older kids playing rough, etc. You can always migrate to a different play area. However, I've never seen this place crowded. If you have younger kids that are too small for the play equipment, this park also offers ample green space to just run around. There is a short trail that circles the park and a little pond overlook where you can watch the turtles/fish. You can fish here. There are bathrooms and water fountains here. Ample trash cans and benches as well. There is even a "little free library" by the main playground. You can reserve the picnic pavilion for gatherings. Parking lot is pretty small but I've always been able to snag a spot.

The covered picnic area is fitted with electrical outlets. Along with plenty of picnic tables, there are several grills which you can use. This park does have a small parking lot of about 10 spaces. This is a well thought out spacious family friendly park worthy of spending a couple hours at.

Cute park!…read more Playground is small but has a few unique attributes. First, it has a canopy! Nice not to worry about the blazing sun. There's a really fun pod you sit in and get spun around. Additionally, a really cool excavator tool that scoops up wood chips. It's a little tricky to control for smaller kids but fun with assistance. A little confusing to find parking. It's across the road -- under the bridge, actually. My husband and I disagreed on whether we like the parking arrangement. He loved that the car stayed cool but I felt a bit unsafe (felt like a secluded garage). Once you park, find the rock sign for the park. Follow the path to the pond. Go left at the pond to access the playground (I missed the path initially because you can't see that it continues from where you're standing) or go right to circle the pond (a nice walk) and find the playground that way. I preferred the longer walk to see ducks and turtles. The ducks have a cool floating house on the water. The playground was empty the entire time. Nice for social distancing. Maybe it's the fact that it's tucked away and a bit of a walk from the parking area. Either way, was nice to have it all to ourselves.

The kids say there are catfish and an assortment of other types of fish to be caught. There is also a playground to bring the kids so they get some fresh air and exert some energy. Finally you can take pictures of all the going on. I am a little disappointed this year with the leaves changing color, but still a beautiful place. Parking is available under the bridge so don't fret!

TLDR: Surprisingly spacious park with a playground with limited range (not ideal for really young…read morekids). Small canopies provide some shade. First of all, it appears the playground has been redone. There are photos here from a few years ago -- looks completely different now. In most cases, these are clear upgrades but I'm not so sure here. The old playground looks pretty nice -- with more equipment for younger toddlers. Why they chose to redo it is a mystery. The current playground equipment is decent with some nice climbing options. It's a little awkward for grown-ups to access (when accompanying really small toddlers who can fall off) since the steps can only be reached via tunnel. So if your young toddler climbs up, you either have to go through the tunnel or climb up some of the ladders. Not a huge deal although if you're an elderly caretaker, take note. The playground does have two small canopies that offer partial shade. One of the biggest deficiencies is the swings. Only two belt swings for older kids. No bucket swings for younger toddlers or babies. Oddly, the pics of the old playground show baby swings -- why did they get rid of them? Weird. There's quite a bit of space like I previously mentioned but I'm not sure if it's being utilized well. There's a small gazebo but it seems a bit pointless. There's nothing in it (no seating) so it looks like a bus stop. I wish they made it into more of a pavilion with benches (there's space). Ultimately, a decent park especially since Georgetown is a bit lacking in playgrounds (when compared to Round Rock especially).
