There's plenty of entrances from an apartment complex, a fitness gym, and various other areas but there's no clear concrete trail head. It's obvious they want to keep this a secret and you need a permit to use the lake. It's completely surrounded by a gate and unless you break private property rules, there's no way to use it. Such a beautiful spot. Hopefully I'm wrong and there's easier access.

I enjoy coming here for simple runs both in the morning and afternoons. There's not lighting to make it worthwhile to visit at night.. Sometimes people will bring their dogs off leash and let them roam around, so be careful of that, but for the most part people are very respectful and courteous of each other on the loop. Like many small, local parks, parking can be an issue, but not here, there are 28 parking spaces. Between the parking lot and the HOA pool, which is for Lakeside residents only, you'll find a water retention area. Also, in the same area, you'll find a full basketball court. The good news is that the park, unlike the pool, is a public park. There is one very large covered picnic area complete with a fountain, grill and public bathrooms. Dotted along the paved trail you'll find other smaller single table covered picnic areas complete with grills. These picnic spots sit close to a sheltered pond where you can watch local wildlife such as egrets and Herons. At the far end of the park is a much larger body of water complete with a dock which also links up to an unpaved gravel trail. As others have already mentioned, there is no large playscape on the property. Additional photos and videos posted for your added insight.

You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.

The splash pad has a dedicated fenced in area for the water fun, and a nice grassy area with tables and seating. Perfect for a picnic! I love taking walks with my daughters along the lake, admiring the views and enjoying the wildlife. If you're adventurous you can rent a canoe or kayak from the boathouse and take it out onto the lake as well. This park is a beautiful place to spend time on a weekend!

We visited over the weekend for the grand reopening of Joanne Land Playground and it is truly…read moreamazing. It has so many wonderful obstacles and slides for the children to enjoy. I don't want to upload pics due to children are present but please go check it out because you won't be disappointed. The main stage is nice and there is a pavilion for you to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere while reading a book or just taking a moment to chill. I always enjoy coming here to cycle or walk but really appreciate the playground upgrade for the children.
