Carmen (my wife) gave them lots of photos for the type of style we wanted for our big day. After meeting VJ he told us what flowers would work and what would not work for the June heat out here in the desert. He then showed and explained to us what type of flowers would last all day and what would go great with the existing flowers Carmen had in mind. The communication between us and Flower Mart was great, if we had any questions we would call or email and get a response right away. The delivery was on point as well, VJ and the team had that day just for us. They delivered to the church, our hotel suite, where the bridal party got ready, and to Desert Willow for the reception. I flew in from out of town and did a drop in to see if I could get a quote for my wedding. I came in knowing that I most likely was not going to be seen today since it was such last minute without an appointment but I wanted to take a chance. When I walked in, initial contact was with one of the two people there (a male staff): Me: "Hi, would it be possible to get a quote for my wedding?" Male staff: "we're busy, I can't stop what I am doing" Me: "I understand" Male staff: "you need to make an appointment and make sure you give us notice next time. Unfortunately, the way he spoke to me and looked at me was as if he was disgusted with the fact that I would even ask to consult without an appointment. I have never felt so disrespected. I understand the nature of me dropping in but it would have been more professional to not be rude or at least seem nicer. I live in the Bay Area and my folks are located in PD I wasn't able to make the trip down for Mother's Day but wanted my mother to know how truly missed she was by ordering her a beautiful somewhat grand bouquet of florals. I came across Flower Mart via Internet. I picked a lovely arrangement paid the hefty price of $145 and was excited for mom to receive them. I received a text message from mom thanking me for the flowers with a pic attached. I was immediately disappointed when I viewed the pic. The arrangement was pretty but it was not as pictured on the Internet with several species of flowers missing. It was significantly smaller and only had 9 roses (3 which were in full bloom on there way out) Lily's and a couple hydrangeas hardly worth the price paid. I work in the industry and know what was delivered was hardly what I paid for. I emailed the flower mart and expressed my disappointment and asked for a telephone call the next business day. I was immediately contacted and in the middle of my own Mother's Day celebration when VJ started in on me. He told me quite frankly if I wasn't satisfied he would go back to my mother's house and pick the flowers up and refund my money. I was appalled that that was his solution. I will never order from this company again and I suggest if you are looking to order flowers for a loved one you look else where. I have never dealt with a man so unwilling to hear a customer out and so quick to defend his work. I simply wanted what I paid for and what was advertised. The bouquet we received was a disappointment and I'm left feeling ripped off and reeling from the interaction I had via telephone and email with VJ who was flat out rude and condescending. You don't get what you pay for and there's no resolution. I do feel better however writing this review. So ready to put this to bed. I never want to hear from VJ or flower mart again who's only offer was to re-possess the bouquet or replace the bouquet. HOW TACKY!!! Terrible communication! I highly suggest you look elsewhere for your floral vendor. I chose flower mart to do the flowers for our wedding . The first interaction we had with VJ was great. He was very nice and looked at everything we wanted, I gave him exact pictures of everything I wanted (6 months in advance) and he said that he would be able to do all of it for our budget. It all went downhill after that. The flowers did turn out how I wanted (except the ceremony petals) however they were a nightmare to work with. I have all the emails to show for it. Wish I could have recorded the phone conversations as well for how he spoke to me. VJ and staff are extremely unorganized and very rude. They are the worst vendor you could have for planning a wedding. They don't respond back to emails for months. Send wrong invoices over and over. Lose deposit checks. I could go on and on. read more

We live in San Jose but had our wedding in Palm Desert. VJ and his team did the flowers for our wedding this November. In short, our experience with the Flower Mart was excellent and we were very happy. Specifically, VJ started to work with us approximately 3 months before our wedding. He answered all of our questions and even came in on a Sunday to meet with us while we were in town. We shopped around with nearly all other florists in the area and they were all overpriced and limited us on the types of flowers we could have. We were shocked by how much better our experience with the Flower Mart was. They were very transparent, even gave us some juicy insight about the flower industry. Before finding the Flower Mart, we were working with a florist in Palm Springs that intended to charge us $2K just for 13 arrangements of mainly hydrangeas and daisies. The Flower Mart worked with us to get the flowers we wanted in an arrangement that looked beautiful at a price we could afford. He seemed less concerned with the overall price than he did making us happy. He showed us samples of what our arrangement would look like and delivered on the day of our wedding. I used VJ for an estate wedding and dropped off 100 labeled vases for various areas of the estate. VJ told me that he and his staff could handle the centerpieces. His assistant assured me that the vases would remain organized so that I would not have to deal with the flower arrangements the day of the wedding. Two days before the wedding I dropped off additional vases and saw all the vases had been rearranged according to price for VJ's convenience, even though a mere head count would have sufficed AND I had already paid in full. When I inquired, he rudely said: "Well honey, that's what you get for giving me 100 vases." So not only was I met with an attitude, I had to help my coordinator with centerpieces an hour before the wedding. VJ also told me that a bride had canceled and that if no one else ordered the flowers in the refrigerator, I would be receiving them free. Little did I know that he would use the hydrangeas for from the canceled wedding for my centerpieces. All of the centerpiece hydrangeas wilted before the reception even started, and it was a cool Palm Springs day. Clearly, I would not recommend VJ and his services. Response to business owner's blurb below: VJ- I work 60+ hours a week and when I post a comment after services rendered is immaterial. I DON'T have a cousin in the states, so this could not be true. Also, I DID have a professional coordinator on site who was told that the vases would be organized the way I dropped them off to your assistant Mallory, per her assurance. YOUR STAFF DID NOT SET UP THE FLOWERS. They were dumped in a corner after you took the liberty of reorganizing them in your store according to price. The flowers you used for my paid centerpieces were old and belonged to the cancelled wedding, as evidenced by their immediate wilting. A $25 delivery fee is not pertinent or central to this conversation (even though it was $50, for the record). Passive aggressive much? This was your customer service stance when I saw you two days before the wedding, so your "facts" and attitude now are no surprise. read more

Wow, talk about service! VJ was amazing! We literally had days before our wedding event that we planned and we were short on tropical plants for our design set. I called VJ on Wed. to see if he had tropical plants that we could pick up on our way in to Palm Springs and he said that he could put in the order for us for pick up on Friday! Friday came around and we were able to pick them up on our way in. VJ was so nice and the quality of the plants were perfect! On Saturday, however, we realized that we were still short. I called VJ around 9AM, maybe 10AM, to see if he had more tropical plants. Unfortunately, he didn't, but VJ offered to reach out to another shop that he works with to see if they had some and low and behold, they did! VJ had to drive all the way out to Riverside though to pick them up for us and rather than having us drive out to him to pick them up again, he was kind enough to go out of his way to drop them off to our wedding site in enough time before the wedding started!
