Edgar is the BEST!!!! My wedding was in 9/4/16. He dealt with me so well, I feel like I was just overwhelmed and didn't know what I wanted. He asked me to show him pins or photos of what I wanted. I let him know my budget and he took it from there. I didn't stress at all about decor, I let him own it! He did do a mock set up for me so I have an idea of what my tables will look like. He kept saying, I promise you'll love it.. it will be glamorous! He was not joking!! He went ABOVE and beyond! My wedding took place in February 2017. Edgar has beautiful creations and he works with your wedding budget which I definitely liked. He has so many ideas. You can create whatever flower design you want! I sent him some pins from Pinterest of arrangements I gravitated toward and we setup an appointment to view a mock table centerpiece. He got it on the first try! Edgar also created beautiful draping for behind our sweetheart table. I was little hesitant because it was another added cost, but I'm glad we did because it looked beautiful in our pictures when we took pics with all of our family and friends. Without the draping, everyone would have been taking pics of my husband and I with an exit sign in the background. Edgar was very easy to work with. I couldn't give him more than three stars because there were some hiccups on the day of the wedding. Edgar's crew was an hour late to arrive at the venue. My venue was in Santa Clara so it wasn't too far away from his warehouse. I assigned a couple of my groomsmen to wait in the lobby for Edgar's crew so they can take the boutonnieres up to the guys for pictures. We had a tight schedule that day with the photographers, so it was an inconvenience. They should up just in time when the bridesmaids and I finished getting ready and begin pictures. Some of the boutonnieres fell apart when the groomsmen were pinning them on. I gave this feedback to Edgar and he said he'll keep that in mind for future weddings. read more

Having been referred and seen his work on Instagram, I didn't contemplate any other wedding florist options, I went straight to edgar. Given the surprising inclement weather and the hasty last minute changes to the layout and setup at the venue, Edgar did a great job and did as much as he could not to add any additional stress to my plate. I gave him general and relatively uneducated guidelines (my colors are coral and champagne, I like peonies and succulents), and let his inspirations go wild from there. Out of all of my wedding vendors, Edgar was by far the best - responsive, easy to work with, and an expert who was excited about his craft and creativity, not nickeling and diming me every time I had an edit to make or a change of heart about my preferences. My husband and I were blown away by his work on the day of our wedding. He made it easy for me on the day of, I had to chase down his assistants a few times, but they were there at set up and clean up promptly. We would highly recommend Edgar for not only weddings, but smaller more intimate events like baby showers or birthday parties. So I should have written this review a year and a half ago. Edgar was absolutely AMAZING! We met with him less than a month before our wedding with few ideas about how to decorate. He was very attentive and was excited to hear what few ideas we had. He met up with us at our venue, the Cypress Hotel. He took one look at the room, talked with us for about 10 minutes and arranged to meet again the following week. When we met for the second time, he brought 4 or 5 different table setups and mixed and matched until we loved every detail. On the day of, Edgar showed up early and began setting up in an adjacent room as there was another event the morning of. He personally delivered the corsages and boutonnieres to our rooms! Then he went to work! When we came back to the hotel for the reception, everything was PERFECT! He did such an amazing job! We had uplights along the walls and each table was decorated beautifully. People still talk today (a year and a half later!) about how beautiful everything was! I truly appreciate Edgar for everything that he did to make our special day that much more special! What to say about EDGAR! One word... FABULOUS. Edgar was just amazing. Let me tell you, I only met with him twice in person prior to my wedding to talk about 30 minutes each meeting and come the wedding day he made everything as beautiful as I was imagining it in my mind!! Everything was exactly how I had dreamed it would be, seriously! After first meeting him 10 months prior to my wedding, I already knew I wanted to book him. But I had made other appointments to meet with other florists so I didn't book him right away but I'm so glad I did. The day I first met him, I told him very briefly what I wanted. He listened intently and I could almost hear his gears grinding. He lead us to his warehouse which had 2 stories and SO MANY decorations. Anything you can think of wanting for your wedding or event, TRUST ME, he has it. I wanted urn vases and lanterns. He had several different types of each and assured me that he can spray paint them to any color as well. He quickly made some sample centerpieces out of some flowers he happened to have which were amazing alone! After officially booking him, I did not meet with him again until about a month prior to my wedding. By then, I had my Pinterest page all organized with my wedding things and I also had cut outs from magazines. I had shown him everything and left the magazine cut outs with him. He got the exact gist of it. And literally, you guys, the rest was in his hands. I didn't see or hear from him after that until the day of my wedding when he came to drop off my bouquets and just WOW. All morning I was nervous and anxious about my wedding but when I saw those bouquets, literally, my heart fluttered! I knew that if the bouquets were that beautiful and exactly as I imagined, I was sure that the centerpieces, and everything else would be beautiful as well and THEY WERE. I didn't see anything until I actually walked into the atrium for my ceremony decorations and when I walked into the ball room for the reception! And I was wowed with every step I took. The major WOW factor that I had was a beautiful 8x12ft flower wall that he had made for me. We had it at the front of the atrium for our ceremony instead of the traditional arch and then we had it moved to the ballroom so that it was behind us at the sweetheart table. It was beautiful and everyone wanted pictures in front of it! I can't say enough good things about him but to sum it up: - He knows exactly what he's doing - He has phenomenal taste - He is very personable and friendly and very kind spirited - He is very reasonable and was willing to work with our budget - He will make your wedding FABULOUS and talked about!! There is no doubt that Edgar has talent, and his creations are gorgeous! I love his website and his pictures and it shows form Yelp that he is a joy to work with. While I love his creativity, I am a bit disheartened once meeting for our initial consultation for my wedding flowers. Once I mentioned my budget Edgar seemed a bit frustrated. He is a very kind and sweet person. What I did not appreciate was his sister trying to convince me to spend a lot of money on flowers, on quality flowers. Edgar was very understanding and even told me that sometimes the vendors and clients don't match and he is well aware of that. Like I said the motive for my review is really the fact that his sister told me to spend money on my special day because it was worth it, because I would "want people to remember how perfect and beautiful" the wedding was. After several attempts to convince me to shell out money, I told his sister that I would rather save that money for a down payment on a house or a nice vacation and she did not seem content with my response (I could only take so much badgering). Edgar and I talked about different ideas to save, including having a close friend of my mother-in-laws hand-make the bouquets we needed. He agreed as long as the flowers did not come from another vendor. Edgar said he would send me the proposal a few days later and it actually took a few weeks. While he was very nice and polite I felt like I was treated with less importance or attention because I was a client on a budget. His quote was like other vendors (around the $3,500 - $4,000 range). I went with Citti's florist which while a little bit over my budget was almost half of the proposal of Edgar's and other competitive florists. read more
