Wow. Called earlier today to confirm that they serviced my area prior to buying a Groupon (as several reviews said that they don't disclose the extra travel fee until after the fact) and was told by the owner Melanie that they don't have anyone to service my area. I thanked her for her time and disconnected the call. She called me back an hour later but when I answered the phone, she answered as though I called her asking what the purpose of my call was???? I told her that she must be mistaken and that I'd already spoken with her earlier....then she proceeded to tell me that she chooses not to service SE DC because she "doesn't want anything to happen to the girls" that clean for her because it would be a liability to her. Mind you, she didn't even know my actual address! I live in a rather expensive, quiet, and extremely safe residential area in SE DC, in NAVY YARD! LOL (After speaking with her the first time, I found a great highly rated cleaning service and booked an appointment! EASY!) Bottom line, it's obvious that this company isn't very well ran and that the owner Melanie is a hot mess-indicative by all the other poor ratings on here. All of this hassle just to book? Ran into the same issue as many others - misleading information in the groupon. I bought the groupon specifically because the fine print said they would travel outside of the 15 mile radius of Woodbridge for an additional $30. (I live in DC.) Melanie very unapologetically told me that they don't come to DC because it's too far. I pointed out that the fine print was completely inaccurate and misleading and she clearly did not care. The owner came in to give us a quote and everything seemed great. She told us she "sets the home" and her team "cleans really well." However, after getting the home cleaned, we found that that the dusting was extremely mediocre (they didn't pick up anything to dust), all of the lights and fans were not dusted, and the kitchen was left extremely dirty (did not move anything to clean and no dusting done). She also told us multiple times "don't tell the ladies what you're paying me..." which made everything seem really awkward when it came time to pay. The team and her (because she came when it was time for the payment), did not walk through the house with us at the end either even though I had told them there were things we still needed done. They wiped the kitchen floors and told us "don't step on that" and then packed up everything and left. When we contacted her about the items that were left that needed cleaning, she said basically said "we'll get it next time." She talks a lot of game but doesn't deliver on any of it. Also, I worry that her team may be getting compensated VERY poorly (all immigrants with little language skills). Would not recommend this cleaning service to anyone! read more

I hired Flow's Metropolitan Cleaning Services to clean my daughter's townhouse after the birth of her son. They arrived 9/27 to a 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhouse that was in dire need -- truly -- of attention. When they left MANY HOURS LATER my daughter was ecstatic! She couldn't believe how her house looked, said they even cleaned carpeting and rugs that were unrecognizable to look as good as new. This was a new service and a deep cleaning, and they truly deep cleaned. I'm more than pleased and satisfied that the work they did was well worth the price I paid. I hired Flow's Metropolitan services after reading the reviews on Nextdoor. They had to clean my town house for move out. It was a major disappointment and waste of money. Only main level was cleaned. They didn't clean the basement at all. Basement window, light fixtures, wooden railings in the stairs and basement bathroom was all dirty. The house had been renovated with new appliances and floors and walls. I explained Melonie what needs to be cleaned and what not. She kept blaming my contractor for being in the house and working on some stuff. She asked my contractor for cleaning liquid....really? She called me with a complaint that there is no water in the master bath where as she didn't know how to turn the faucet on. My contractor showed her how to do it and left the house so they could clean. Showers in Master bathroom and in hall way bathrooms were left dirty with an excuse that they needed caulking. I would not recommend her to anyone. read more
