I made an online appointment for 6:13 pm and arrived at 6:09 pm. While waiting for my appointment, another person arrived and informed the employee that his appointment was at 6:20 pm. Despite my appointment being scheduled before his, he was assisted before I was even called. Minutes later, a walk-in arrived, and they took care of him almost immediately, even though it was now 6:29 pm and I was still sitting there waiting to be called. Throughout the entire experience, no one explained why two other people were helped and I continued to wait, even though I had been waiting for 16 minutes after my scheduled appointment. This should be a short one, I showed up early for an appointment today for 2:55 PM. There was one guy getting a haircut, one guy waiting and one lady checked me in. Then another guy came in and then there were 3 of us waiting. Finally one lady came out and took the guy who was there before me. A short bit after that, another lady came out and took the guy who came in after me. For me, still nobody, so I just walked. I was able to make an appointment only the day prior, and the Sunday availability is ideal for me because of my work schedule. The stylist, Deo, did a great job listening to what I was looking for (I had a standard cut and beard trim), and his work was also fantastic. Came here and said I wanted a clean up on the sides and the tiniest bit if any off the top. The lady preceded to take more than an inch off the top and cut it way shorter than I wanted. Not listening to what I wanted at all, just doing her own thing in her own world. The people that work here seem more interested in talking to you non stop instead of focusing on the haircut. Well... that was a record (7 minutes) and poor haircut. Not worth the $38 dollars and will not go back again. This is basically your Supercuts in disguise. I asked for a buzz cut fade with trim on top, simple right? The buzz cut barely touched the skin so I have uneven cut around my head and there is no fade. (see photo) What's worse is that they don't take their time, or show that they care about your hair. It's basically a quick sit down, cut, bye. Speed over Quality. He needed a hair cut and although he prefers a more traditional barber, they were all booked. And he dislikes booking online, preferring to call and make an appointment. We checked in a few minutes before hand and waited for the stylist. She was behind so it took a while before she was ready. The place was crowded and made it a tight squeeze for the waiting patrons. She cleaned up her space and took him back for his hair cut. I sat and waited until it seemed she was almost done. She handed him a mirror to look at the cut. His hair curls at the ends and with his natural wave there were portions which stuck out. He agreed with my assessment and so she cut the hair on the back of his head shorter. Then she cleaned up the sides as well as he had 'wings.' After that she shaved the back of his neck and he was done. The associates were professional and his cut turned out nice. He looks very handsome so I call it a success. read more

This company has a really challenging time in holding on to employees. Three stylists leaving the Castle Rock site alone over the span of 1 year makes it difficult to impossible to have consistency. As a note, this has nothing to do with the pandemic as this has been an issue since I started going here in 2018 While some may be personal, having kept in touch with a least two who have cut my hair, stated they left Floyd's because of the company and location staff. If you just need a buzz cut with no styling this company may work, but for a proper cut you may be better served looking for someone with an established shop. read more

Laun S at the Castle Rock location gave me the best cut I have ever had in my life. He is truly a one of a kind barber, a genuine professional and a class act. I could tell I liked him even before I sat down in his chair. While waiting, you could clearly see he took pride in his station by making sure to properly clean his equipment. He took his time getting it right, like his tools meant some thing to him. As a gentleman who takes pride in what he does, I can appreciate the care and attention to detail. We hadn't gone there in over three years due to the incredibly poor service, super high turnover and dismissive staff that just can't be bothered. There is a reason they're the only place in town that has day of appointments available. Made an appointment and get called and cancelled on later on the day of. Apparently because a buzz cut on the sides and back and trim the top will take almost an hour for their stylist Chris and he just can't... because it's toward the end of the day. Thanks for making an appointment and then bailing. Why even take appointments if that is how you behave. Was hoping they had changed but the same dismissive staff and abysmal customer service. We'll at least Chris can go home early now that he and Floyd's have reinforced the negative impression that pervades their establishment. Finally all of Jake A.'s responses of faux shock that this doesn't sound like Floyd's to you, I'd say it's pretty obvious this sounds exactly like Floyd's. I showed them a picture like I always have in the past maybe 50 times long hair middle part long in the back. I never pay attention anymore to what they do it's always been perfect this time I got One side burn shaved all the way one not at all the back of my hair at the bottom is not round or square it's a zig zag my right side is shave 2 inches above my ear and left is about 1/4 of a inch the top is maybe a 5 my hair is completely uneven the barber was maybe 20 named Dominic. besides a horrible cut I now have to get it fixed. Tried to call front desk lady was nice and said I'd getaways call from the GM but haven't got anything yet. read more

Just took my son into Floyd's to have a kids cut done. We have gone to Floyd's in the past and Chris R who was kind, patient, personable and made my son very comfortable and made him look like a million bucks. We went to book another appointment with him, however he is unfortunately no longer there. So we took a chance with another person and booked an appointment for 3:40 pm. As we were walking in at 3:38 PM my wife received a phone call from Floyds asking if we were on our way which my wife politely replied that we were walking in from the parking lot. We kind of thought that was odd. As we walked in we were taken over to a chair and seated. I sat down with my son as he can be very squirrelly which may not be good thing for a haircut! This time around he was a perfect little gentleman and sat mostly still. The stylist was very quick and she did a good job with the haircut, however I wasn't too thrilled with how we were treated. We were in and out in about 10 minutes which was great, however we didn't receive much friendliness from her. She seemed annoyed that we were there and it felt very rushed. I said thank you many times, and even tried to make her laugh to which I was unsuccessful. I even tipped her $20 on top of a $23 kids haircut as a last ditch effort to let her know we appreciated her, but it just seemed to be a wasted cause. I never received an acknowledgment of a "you're welcome". It was a far cry from how we were treated from Chris R. I'm not sure if it was an off day for this person, but I felt like we were more of a hinderance to her than anything else, and we definitely will look elsewhere for getting my sons hair cut in the future. 3 stars for a good haircut, but no more because of a borderline rude stylist. I'm not interested in naming the stylist because I'm not interested in getting anyone in trouble, but hopefully this will encourage some of their staff to be a little nicer to their customers. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 9am. I show up to the door at 9 and it is locked. I waited at the door for 5 minutes, then went to my car to call the store to see if they were closed. The phone was answered and the person speaking immediately asked if it was me, and then told me "Since you were so late we will need reschedule you for 2pm today!" I told them how I was waiting outside and tried getting in, and they replied "Sorry, you were over 5 minutes late nothing I can do." and then hung up on me. read more

First and last time here. What should have been about a 30min cut took my barber about 10min. Though I have had high fades and blends previously my had grown out significantly. I ask for the sides and back to be cleaned up with a three guard. Which translated into a high blend at the crown. My barber asked if I wanted a shampoo and I said sure but one was not delivered. It is what it is and my hair will grow back but I was disappointed with the quality and services received. read more

Haircut made me cry because it was so bad--all before a big trip I'm taking too. I asked for my hair to be a little bit shorter with some layers and to even it out too since it was uneven from a previous cut. I even showed a picture of something similar that I wanted. I had hair maybe a half inch or so above my shoulders and now it barely even covers my ears. It's still uneven too, but now on the other side and much more noticeable than before. I was shocked at how much my stylist had taken off but I didn't want to say anything because they seemed nice, other than the fact that speed was favored over quality (the haircut took about 10 minutes). They said I could just style it and it would look good, but I don't think styling it can save this one. I should've canceled the appointment when I considered it earlier. read more
