I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, it's got a home like feel. The staff always treats you like family. It's my daughter's birthday and she wanted to float down the river. So that means a trip to Clear Springs. First up a small order of onion rings. They were so good, the crisp outer batter and thick onions. Next up my youngest had the Shrimp Po Boy. It had a nice flavor from lettuce tomatoes and tangy dressing. The shrimp were fried well. My oldest daughter had the Fish Tacos. They were bright and fresh but needed a little more zing. My son had the Combination (fish and fried crawfish)- the crawfish were tasty and had a good batter. My Seafood Grill was amazing. The shrimp brochettes were amazing, loved the grilled catfish. I'm not usually a fan of blackened catfish but this one was good. My wife had the cup of Cajun Gumbo. It wasn't bad but it was chunky and that's not my style. We ended with the Chocolate Cake for dessert since it was my oldest daughter's birthday. It was the perfect end, the pecans added a saltiness that balanced out the richness of the chocolate.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations. Upon checking in, we were initially directed to a table that had not been cleaned. When my boyfriend politely asked if we could be seated at a booth that was currently being cleared, the host initially agreed. However, she then seated two other guests, who were white and had arrived after us at that same booth. Given the circumstances and the subsequent request to wait for a different table, this incident opened our eyes to potential racial bias, and we felt it was best to leave and dine elsewhere. I believe your host staff would benefit from additional training regarding equitable service and professional conduct. It is truly a shame that our visit was handled in this manner, as we had hoped for a much more welcoming evening. I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hope that it helps improve your service for future guests.

The area is quite spacious - with 3 main areas for dining, and its own parking lot which is fantastic. Even though I was tempted for a good time going in the evening --- or even the weekend --- I had a bunch of errands today and chose rather to go for breakfast when the amount of people is few and the environment is just overall more relaxed. I'm glad I did. For my meal I ordered just one thing the Bauern Schnitzel. This dish is described as a "breakfast specialty featuring a hand-breaded pork schnitzel topped with two eggs and hollandaise sauce. This German-Texan fusion dish is served daily during morning hours and comes with a biscuit alongside your choice of home fries, hash browns, grits, or black beans." Within minutes of my order being placed, my food came out in about 5 minutes -- not too shabby! As you can see from the photo, it looked very appealing. How was the taste? Simply filling and comforting. It was rich, stick to your bones grub that you want every so often. Hash browns were crisp, and the schnitzel was fried perfectly and topped with my over easy eggs. Everything simply worked in unison for a flavorful combination. The biscuit was also something to mention. It was homemade, fluffy, and not dry whatsoever! If I weren't such an introvert, I'd love to visit in the evenings --- as fun as this experience was this morning. The space is beautiful and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We won't talk about how many years later but we finally made it back. Our server was phenomenal. We were in from out of town visiting family at their restaurant, and she was so attentive and super kind about us taking up her table longer. We started off with onion rings and they were delicious. The ranch is pretty great also. I couldn't help I get the chicken fried steak with a homemade fries. I live in Las Vegas and there are some things that you just can't get that equal Texas cooking. All of it was super great. Sometimes when you get chicken fried steak, it's greasy from the frying there was none of that here. The steak was flavored good. The batter was flavored great and it was crispy and the gravy was flavored. I mean, Texas folk definitely know how to season their cooking. The fries are so good and dipped in my gravy from the chicken fried steak and I was in heaven. My son ordered a cheesesteak. It looked good and he enjoyed it. I have to teach him to be a little more southern though when he orders. Just kidding. I love the feel of Pat's Place. It's an old house converted into a restaurant and it does feel like you're eating a home-cooked meal in a friends house. It's unbeatable. I appreciate after all these years, this place still rocks. Thank you for the incredible service and the even more incredible food.

It was a very tasty way to start dinner with some delicious German beer and wine selections. All the schnitzel was delicious and you can choose pork, chicken or veal with most of them as well as your choose of sides. My husband chose the spatzle which is a German pasta- very yummy. Most entrees come with a choice of soup or salad and they lap brought some delicious marbles rye bread and butter to the table. I chose the pork jager-rham schnitzel with a mushroom and sour cream gravy. It was heaven. The meal was fantastic and we will definitely be back! The only complaint y husband had was that he thought the waitress was trying a little too hard to rush the orders / drinks and meal which kind of annoyed him. He usually tops 25-30% but only tipped 20 due to feeling like he couldn't enjoy his meal because he was being rushed. To be fair- it is summer and their busy season, but I would recommend that could ease up a bit with rushing the orders. This is a seated restaurant- not McDonald's. People want to enjoy their meal and the delicious food. We would have ordered a lot more drinks and cocktails if we had the opportunity. Overall- we loved it and will definitely visit again when we are back!

We had a 20 minute wait for a table which was in line with what we were told at checkin. Once seated, we waited ~ 8 minutes before our drink order was taken and another five before the drinks were served. We placed our order shortly thereafter. We order a NY Strip (Medium) and a Cowboy Cut Ribeye (Medium Rare). The meals arrived ~ 25 minutes after ordering. The NY Strip was thin and prepared Medium Well. It looked dead. The ribeye was more done than medium rare, but not badly so. Neither steak had an enjoyable flavor. While I received refills (sweet tea when I was drinking unsweet) my wife's refill was ignored. The server was pleasant, but clearly handling more tables than he could manage. Considering the occasion (Father's Day), the restaurant felt understaffed. All around, our experience was not positive. Given the other steakhouse options in NB, we won't be returning to Montana Mike's.

As seen in the job listing the starting salary for a Restaurant General Manager at this location is listed at $52,000. In Round Rock, the average GM salary is over $75,000 meaning this offer is severely under market value for the massive amount of hours and stress that come with running a restaurant. This is a massive red flag regarding how they value their leadership!

After I ordered beer, I flipped the menu over to discover many more cocktail and wine options! We had Rueben's, turkey burger or the regular burger and we all enjoyed the food.
