Honestly, this might be my new overall fave coffeeshop in the region. Crown Point is about a half hour drive for me, but it was worth it to give this place a try. My husband had the Doncaster - Salted Butterscotch Oat Draft Cold Brew, and I had the Voodoo - Peanut Butter Chocolate Espresso Latte ($6.50 each). Both were very tasty although my husband's needed a good stir since a lot of the flavoring had settled at the bottom. I was looking at the paper menu when I ordered, so I thought the Gold Rush ($9) was a really interesting bagel when it's actually a bowl of oatmeal. A bit disappointing. My husband had the Avocado Toast ($9), a solid breakfast option. The interior is very nice with ample seating. Can't wait to make it out to CP again and have another opportunity for coffee at Fluid. read more

I love this small coffee shop's atmosphere and personality. Fluid is all over NWI but I got to see the one in Crown Point recently and it has a great vibe! I love their interior decor and I loved all the plants everywhere. I went in for a quick stop, but I can see myself hanging out here. I would definitely try any of their bagels that they have. This is a unique coffee shop with a variety of different coffee & matcha drinks. They also sale cute trinkets with and without the company name. I ordered the Diana of the Dunes Iced. This drink is a mix of lavender and expresso. I substituted for oat milk and added vanilla. It was delicious! read more

Pretty disappointed with this location. My husband and I ordered 2 lattes and 2 avocado toasts. The lattes were fine, but the toast took over 20 minutes, so we had to change the order to be takeout. I would understand if they were busy, but it was 10am on a Monday. There were only 2 other customers in the shop that had already been helped. No line. The guy behind the counter could not be bothered to move more than a snails pace, and still somehow, the food was very poorly thrown together like an afterthought. Half of each side was alright, but the other half, was just a bagel for all intents and purposes. I may be back for the coffee, but definitely not for the food. read more

Stopped by Fluid with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and my husband - we had a great time. Loved that they make their coffees with oat milk--it added a nice touch to the drinks. Was in the area for a few days visiting and i came here every single morning it was SO GOOD! Coffee was phenomenal it was perfectly balanced with espresso and sweetness. The bagels were decent, i liked the jalapeno cheddar one. Workers were very nice and easy to talk to, service was also pretty quick. I found this establishment by accident. While my wife was shopping at the nearby mall, I needed to find a spot to do some work and get a cup of coffee. With the trippy decor, wooden tables and chairs, fast internet connectivity, and the specialty blended coffee, you won't want to leave the place. Another Fluid a bit closer to me! Please continue the migration down i65, Purdue University never has enough coffee, but this one will do for now. We dropped in near closing to find a still busy and fun atmosphere that feels cozy in an original alternative spiritual vibe. The coffee cherry does get an obvious alter to pray and pay to, excellent menu, plenty of options, couldn't find the CBD infused latte tho! Tried my own idea of combining their ube with a basic soy latte, other places boasting the ube latte were amazing alas it didn't work here. Guessing it needs to be ube puree or similar, my friend has already been to this location singing it's praises so can't fault Fluid for listening to me even though the staff was so great. Latte was pretty good. Nice flavor and overall taste. The shop itself has a drive thru and interior seating. It's trying to give off an edgy, urban vibe. They had rap music playing (unfiltered stuff with N bombs), mid-century mod furniture, and some edge. There was a sign saying "Midwest as F". Hmmm....ok. This seems to be trying too hard to be cool. It's like the 90s song "Pretty Fly" by Offspring. Service was decently fast. But, the cashier stood over the payment table and seemed to watch like a hawk to be sure I tipped her (I did). Anyway, they have good espresso drinks. But, weirdly, no brewed brewed coffee. Really...no brewed black coffee at all. Overall: Better than Starbucks. Worth a stop if you need caffeine. read more

I went in for hot coffee (mocha actually) and something sweet. Didn't get a sweet as selection was not great. The person that took my order disappeared in the back - no communication about it. Wishing I hadn't tipped now. Couple minutes later out came a guy and he a drink order ahead of me (maybe thru an app) and then mine and had to confirm what "add Pepp" meant. $6.42 plus a $1.00 top. Got to my car first sip and the coffee is barely warm. Almost $8 for a regular size barely warm coffee. This is my first impression of Fluid. My previous coffee place closed last month. Recently discovered Fluid Coffee Bar in Crown Point, and I've got a 'whole LATTE love' for this place. Fluid is kind of The Region's very own coffee chain. Locations include Valparaiso and Michigan City where they roast their own coffee beans...not too many coffee shops can say the same. The result is the perfect cup of coffee. Fluid, hands down, has the area's best specialty coffee drinks. Pictured is the Novus Ordo, and it was so flavorful with Fluid's excellent coffee base and amazing house made syrups. Many of the specialty coffee drinks can be made up to take home in a 32 oz. howler for later enjoyment. Our favorite coffee shop was closed due to weather so we decided to try out fluid. It was terrible from start to finish with the only exception of the gentleman that was working there. My son and I walked in with smiles on our faces, We were stared at instead of greeted then as we wanted to order the girl at the register, turned her head away and started telling the other workers what needed to be done and what her plans were for after work, I ordered sugar-free vanilla latte they don't do sugar-free anything because they don't sell. I asked what flavor lattes they have. She said whatever you see on the menu. my son was clearly looking at the menu she quickly gave me my total without him ordering and I wanted to purchase a banana bread. We had to do another transaction for his tea She was super rude not interested in the customers whatsoever. I will not be coming back here and no, I'm not a Karen. I don't evenleave reviews ever, but this one was needed. If you haven't been to a FLUID location and you love coffee, you're seriously missing out. FLUID is one of the few coffee chains that exist in the region that deserve the hype. They are completely in their own lane, and one of the most unique businesses I've ever been to. Cool and friendly staff, and they are a coffee bar which is really interesting and probably appealing to a sober community. The drinks are all strange and different yet they are all great. It's like craft coffee, the quality and difference is leagues above. They make their own syrups and grind their own coffee beans. Also their brand is super unique and each location is clean, modern and super interesting. They take cafe culture to a higher standard. I think FLUID has etched their own lane, and is incomparable to anything else because they try not to offer things you can get other places. I think it may be a bit off the wall for some people, but most non coffee drinkers I've brought to FLUID love what they get. My only personal knock on FLUID is that I wish they had a more expansive food menu, and I'm not a huge fan of their baked items as much as I am other places. However, the place has it down so well it's 100% worth a 5 star rating. read more
