After many many years I finally found the dentist who ruined my teeth after I got my braces done. I got my braces done around the time when I was in middle school, so I was too young realize just that Dr. Huang's behavior was not normal or professional. In every visit, he was rude, scary, and berated me for every mistake I made to the point I was scared and nervous every time I visited. There was one time my parents made an appointment to have my braces tightened but didn't tell me and we had gone out with some relatives to eat dim sum, we didn't have time for us to go back home and brush my teeth, but thankfully the receptionist gave me a tooth brush and I did my best. Unfortunately that wasn't enough and as Dr. Huang was cleaning my teeth, he was so angry that I started crying and he called my parents to his office to scold them. I was too young to remember what was said, but I remember my parents just accepting it because to them he was a professional that knew more than we did, so he must have been right. I remember the day he finally took off my braces and I was free from him, he scrapped off so much of my front teeth in the process that they became thin and brittle. To this day, my 2 front teeth are extremely fragile and have noticeable chipping, I've had to have multiple crowns, root canals, and an oral surgery performed on my teeth due to the condition of my teeth after I got braces. I've never had an issues with my teeth prior to getting braces. Ever since then, I get a lot of anxiety when I visit the dentist and whenever I do go to one, they always mention that whoever last dealt with my teeth did a bad job, so I could never trust anything a dentist says. read more

I started my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Huang about 2-3 years ago. Granted that I thought it would only take a year, my case had a complications given the nature of my overbite. My bi-weekly appointments tended to be quick, pleasant, and professional with the staff here. A majority of my appointments would take no more than 15 minutes even factoring in those waiting for those ahead of me. They truly have your dental health and hygeine in mind and aren't afraid to call you out on failing to maintain proper habits if they suspect your treatment isn't progressing as it should. The man's reputation exceeds him. He is known as one of the most skilled and efficient orthodontists in the area. I went to his office from elementary to high school for braces, and my teeth were well taken care of. Unfortunately, every response here about him being professional and kid-friendly is a lie. A lot of friends my age would go to him too, because, of course, he's the best. But he talked to us, always, aggressively and made rude comments about us. At some point, I myself talked back, and he didn't like that one bit. His wife probably still remembers me as someone with "no respect" because of it. Now that I'm older, mature and, well, in my twenties, I look back and I wonder if it was just me being a rebellious, hormonal kid. Nope. His behavior was unacceptable, and even our parents knew it, but they bore with it because of his skill as a dentist. I didn't let him talk to me the way he did then, and I wouldn't let any medical professional talk to me that way now. And I sure as hell would have words with someone who decided to snap at my kid for breathing on day one. My friends and I examined our own biases and looked back, but the kindest remark we could come up with was, "Wow. He really didn't like kids." Looking at the other comments here, I realize that his behavior hasn't changed. So yeah. Go to him for skill and efficiency, but also expect a man-child. read more

These reviews have to fake. There is no way this place has gotten five stars from almost everyone. Nonetheless, I came to this place for my braces. The staff is extremely rude especially Dr. Anderson. He is very strict and not kid-friendly. This place had messed up my retainer too when the process was done and forgot to remove a button. This button imprint was left on my permanent retainer, so unprofessional. They delayed taking off my braces even though my bite and teeth were perfect. My insurance covered it so I'm pretty sure they just wanted more money from them. Also, they are not open on weekends which is super inconvenient for students who have school and have to miss class just to come in for an appointment. Take my advice and go somewhere else. I looked over the reviews again and they are definitely fake. One person is supposedly from Mexico yet they got their dental treatment done in New York? Absurd, this place is ridiculous and paid people to write these reviews. Before coming into Dr. Huang's office I had actually gone to a few other orthodontists to get different opinions. In the end I decided to stick with Dr. Huang. When you walk into the office you can already see how well kept it is. The waiting room was large but extremely clean. I went in on a Friday afternoon and there seemed to be a lot of kids coming in from after school. I expected my consultation to be a bit rushed because of it but Dr. Huang really took his time examining my teeth. I still have a few more Invisalign trays to get through but so far I'm extremely happy with the results. The staff works very efficiently as well. I recently finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Huang and I am extremely satisfied! I was actually referred by a friend not really expecting much but I was WOW'ed by the whole process! Before coming in, I thought Dr. Huang was just a regular orthodontist but he actually he is an ELITE provider for Invisalign treatments meaning he is an EXPERT and EXCELS in these types of treatments. I went in last year around July for a consultation. Dr. Huang was very detailed throughout the consultation and explained everything to me. During the whole consultation process, I did not feel like he was being too sale-sy to me and pushing me to get the treatment. Instead, he told me what he thinks I need and gave me time to even think about it! At the end, I decided to start the treatment! They took some x-rays of my current teeth situation then Dr. Huang did a mock treatment trial via some advanced technology and sent me 3D pics of how my teeth will look throughout the process (from beginning to end). He didn't actually charge my until I approve of the process. Price wise - it is actually pretty standard and my insurance covered some of it (surprisingly!). My whole treatment lasted only TEN MONTHS - FYI, I had braces when I was young and was not consistent with wearing my retainers so of course my teeth shifted a good amount :(. I went back to Dr. Huang's every month to pick up new treys and for standard check up. Dr. Huang is actually a very careful and personal orthodontist. Even though another person would check on my teeth, Dr. Huang will always double check after to make sure everything was okay and good to go. I NEVER had a problem throughout my treatment process - COMPLETELY satisfied (I am quite surprised at the early bad reviews!) I also wanted to point out that the office manager, Jennifer, is a SUPER STAR. She keeps up to date with patient's info and is super flexible when it comes to scheduling. She even gave me a whole box of Brite cleaners for my retainers on my last office visit! I forgot to mention - their bathroom is really clean... actually the whole office is clean and comfortable! Personally, I had tradional braces for more than three years. Experiences at least 3 different doctors- it's normal. Depend on time and day of the week Generally, it just depend on who not dealing with a patient at the time. Not really a bad thing since their personalities are different that will mean how they approach things are completely different. One doctor might focus on functionality ,your bite, a little more than the appearance. I had Dr Darren for part of my treatment.He's gentle and considerate.He definely have surprise me with his creativity like using a dental floss to test if the gap between your teeth are full close. I tripled and wind up stepping on my own retainers in the middle of the pandemic. This time, Dr Anderson T was my primary doctor.If I had to describe him it would be " friendly giant "The man definely knows what he doing But he just a man of few words.One time he ask me to repeat bite my teeth. He saided that " tongue should be back of my mouth". After google it ,it all made sense.Strict but mean well.The outcome exceed my initial expectation. Advices 1. Invest in a water pik 2. Most people are brushing their teeth wrong- Gently brush your teeth in a circular motion you don't want to ruin your enamel 3. make sure you have a proper tongue position. Majority of the time you will not see the Dr. Huang after your first consultation but the others "nurse" are really professional too at some times. With their Invisalign product lines and innovative braces technology, I was able to fully recover from my extreme under bite. When initially going there Dr. Anderson Huang was very detailed and professional in his explanations. As the Invisalign treatment went on and I called him for advice, he was not very nice/impatient when answering my questions. The second time I went for my next set of Invisalign another orthodontist was assisting me. I was a little shocked because no one told me that that I was not going to be taken care of by Dr. Anderson Huang directly for the whole treatment. To be fair the other orthodontist is his son who is very patient and professional. His name is Darren Huang. I highly recommend him. I just wished they would inform me out of respect before switching my orthodontist. Initially when my treatment was over I noticed there was still a lot of gap between some of my teeth so I consulted with Dr. Anderson Huang again and he extended my treatment to take care of that. For the past week my teeth were hurting after wearing retainers. This didn't sound normal when I spoke with other people I knew who wore retainers after Invisalign as well. Dr. Anderson Huang checked the x-ray and kept insisting that there is nothing wrong (slightly rude tone). I was in pain while telling him this. In the end he helped me loosen my retainers a little and I feel better now. Even though Dr. Anderson Huang is sometimes impatient and slightly rude, I still consider him as well as his staff as very professional and I do not think anyone would regret going to his office for Invisalign treatment. read more

Thank God for Dr. Huang. He started treatment on my son at very young age when no other doctor wanted to take him. My son had severe case of teeth displacement sideways and frontwards. We had consulted with other specialist. But they all had ask us to wait at least until he turns 14. Dr Huang said no. He said, if we wait, it would have to be a major surgery to fix the problem. We have to start asap. We did. He started placing a retainer around his neck to control the progressive damaged. It took several years and discipline in the care end. What a difference it has made. I've always been sensitive about my teeth so the end result was everything I could dream of and more. Dr. Huang is a professional and it was a pleasure having him as my doctor. I had a ton of questions going in and Dr. Huang patiently answered everything I asked. A few days after the office called to tell me that my treatment plan was ready. I wasn't able to come in, so they were nice enough to email me everything to see if I was okay with the treatment plan that was created.
